The apple has become a traditional teacher’s gift. Although, I’m pretty sure teachers would rather receive a gift card. So, I’ve chosen to use a paper apple on the front of my card that could also hold a gift card inside.
Picked For You
Doesn’t this apple look good enough to eat? The apple was created with a stamp set, Picked For You, that has a four-step stamping process.
I first secured a square of Thick Whisper White cardstock in the corner my Stamparatus, positioning stamp #1 with the stem notch at the top. Stamps #2, #3 and #4 were positioned with #1 as the guide. The ink colors are #1 Real Red, #2 Cherry Cobbler, #3 Lovely Lipstick, and #4 Soft Suede. The stamps are numbered in the stamp set, making it easy to follow.
After inking, I fussy cut the apple with Paper Snips, and used an Aqua Painter to blend the colors together, giving a softer, watercolored look.
My tasty apple needed a background, and I found this photo for inspiration.
I thought the Bokeh Dot stamp would look nice in Granny Apple Green ink. How could I not use this ink with such a perfect name? I also used a stamp from the Swirly Frames stamp set to increase the size, and frame, my Bokeh Dot background. The dimensions worked perfectly, and the Stamparatus insured it would be evenly spaced on the Whisper White cardstock.
The apple tree branch was cut from Soft Suede cardstock, using a a die from Seasonal Layers.
The leaves were created with the Lemon Builder Punch, and the Bokeh Dot stamp. This time, I used Garden Green ink, and punched eight leaves, five for the front, and three for inside.
The circle is a Swirly Frames stamp, stamped in the same Granny Apple Green. The sentiments in the Picked For You stamp set are so appropriate, and cute. I stamped, “You are terrific to the core!” in Soft Suede, as well as “For a special teacher” on the front.
I decorated the envelope with a piece of Designer Series Paper, Under the Mistletoe, which you’ll find in the annual catalog. Red and green is not just for Christmas, right?

Hi there! For today’s project, I had two things in mind; the TGIF Challenge, which is calling for “punches,” and the gorgeous Frosted Floral Designer Specialty Paper from the Holiday 2018 Catalog. It’s a “specialty” paper, because it’s printed on shimmery white paper. You have to see it in person to truly appreciate.
Frosted Floral Thank You
I decided to use a multi-colored floral print with flowers that I could fussy cut. My Stampin’ Up Paper Snips did a good job, and the three flowers were ready for some leaves. The Leaf Punch worked perfectly, punching leaves from a green print of Frosted Floral DSP.
The sentiment, “thank you for caring,” is from the Label Me Pretty stamp set. I used the 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, after stamping the sentiment in Tranquil Tide ink on Whisper White cardstock. The 1 1/2′” Circle Punch makes a perfect border, which I punched from another piece of the Frosted Floral DSP.
I chose Tranquil Tide cardstock for the card base, layered with a 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of Whisper White cardstock, embossed with the Subtle Textured embossing folder.
Next, I used a Stitched Seasons die to cut the Frosted Floral frame. This is the same Frosted Floral DSP where I found my three flowers.
The flowers and sentiment were raised on dimensionals, and my “three punch” card is ready for the TGIF challenge.

Thanks for visiting my blog today. If you’ve ever wondered what a Flirty Flamingo colored, Bokeh Dot printed, rhino looks like, you’ve come to the right place. Here he is:
Animal Friends
Let’s call this rhino, “Pinky,” and his giraffe friend, “Daffy,” for her Daffodil Delight color. Would you like to know how I came up with these colors? Look at this week’s Global Design Project challenge:
I colored my Animal Friends with the Bokeh Dots background stamp, because it’s a quick and easy way to get shading. The outline of the animals is Soft Suede ink.
The Animal Friends die set has dies for cutting, making it super easy.
Did you notice the three sections of embossed Layered Leaves? The idea came from this week’s Paper Players challenge.
Pinky and Daffy are happy in their sections of Whisper White, Layered Leaves. Plus, it gives Daffy a place to rest her long neck.
I’ve made a number of cards featuring these adorable animals from the Animal Outing stamp set, but this is the first time I’ve used the sentiment, “together we make a great pair.” I used a Stitched Shapes square die for cutting around the sentiment, and added some sprigs from Soft Suede cardstock.
The envelope is decorated with a piece of Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper.
For the final detail, I added the two hearts, because Pinky and Daffy thought this was a good card for people in love.

Welcome to the What Will You Stamp Challenge, and today’s featured stamp set, Blended Seasons. My favorite part of the Color Your Seasons bundle is the die set, Stitched Seasons. I’m using three of its dies in today’s project.
Stitched Seasons Dies Frame Dashing Deer
The Stitched Seasons die set has 10 dies, which I’ve pictured in my product list below, for you to see. I used the largest die to cut the stitched frame beneath Rudolf (he likes being called by name) in Crumb Cake cardstock. Don’t you love the stitched edging? Then, I used the medium die to cut the frame in Very Vanilla, and emboss it with the Subtle Textured embossing folder. Because Rudolf wanted to fly, I raised it on Stampin’ Dimensionals for elevation.
Rudolf (Detailed Deer die) was made wooden by using Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, and layering him three times for thickness. His pretty Gold Foil collar is from a die in the same Detailed Deer die set.
I chose a wonderful plaid from Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper to layer on the Crumb Cake card base.
The inside of the card shows off the third die I used from Stitched Seasons, a fabulous, little bow. I made it plaid by cutting it from the plaid Festive Farmhouse DSP. Don’t you like how the Very Vanilla, Stitched Seams die cut completes the card and provides the perfect place for a sentiment?
The sentiment is from the Dashing Deer stamp set, which I stamped in Cherry Cobbler.
Another piece of Festive Farmhouse DSP caught my eye, and I HAD to cut into the 12″X12″ piece to decorate the Very Vanilla envelope.

Are you ready for a sneak peek of the Merry Christmas To All bundle?
“Christmas” is one of the words in the die set, along with three other words and two labels, and the stamp set has 28 stamps!
Paper words are a necessity in my card making, so this bundle was at the top of my list.

Merry Christmas to All Sneak Peek
My inspiration for today’s project was this week’s CAS(E) this sketch challenge.
I’m also linking to Festive Friday’s “dots” Challenge.
Wooden words are a favorite of mine, so I die cut “Christmas” using Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. I layered it on retired, brown cardstock for thickness, making it look more like real wood.
“Christmas” was a little long, vertically, but a perfect fit, horizontally.
To accompany “Christmas,” I chose a deer from the Dashing Deer Bundle. I stamped the deer in Soft Suede ink, and used its die for cutting.
The deer is standing on the word “merry,” from the Merry Christmas To All stamp set. I stamped “merry” in Soft Suede ink, and used a label die from the set for cutting.
For a splash of Christmas colors, I cut two pine boughs and berries, using the Pretty Pines die set. The boughs are Garden Green and Old Olive cardstock, and the berries are Real Red cardstock.
I wanted to keep this simple, so chose a Thick Whisper White card base, layered with Thick Whisper White that I embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder. It’s a warm day in August, but the snow hasn’t melted yet!

Okay, I admit it, I’ve gone crazy over the Corrugated embossing folder. I may tire of it someday, but right now, I can’t stop using it! You get so much texture without even trying.
Corrugated First Frost
My Whisper White piece of corrugated paper was the beginning of today’s project. I wanted to combine it with two shades of purple for this week’s Global Design Project challenge, which was to CASE the designer, Janneke De Jong.
I layered the Whisper White corrugated piece on Gorgeous Grape cardstock for some nice contrast. Since I often have even borders, I liked the change of having just a top and bottom border. Was this a happy accident? Yep!
TIP: The Corrugated embossing folder “shrinks” the paper, so take this into account when planning your borders.
The sentiment, “Wishing you all the best,” is from the First Frost stamp set, stamped in Highland Heather ink. I used a Frosted Bouquet die for cutting the Whisper White label, and the Gorgeous Grape frame.
More Gorgeous Grape was used for the statice flowers, cut with a Fosted Bouquet die. Doesn’t my paper statice look like this?
The leaf die is also from Frosted Bouquet. Before cutting the leaf, I used a Sponge Dauber with Pear Pizzazz ink to achieve the watercolored look.
For the last detailed, I added three little pearls.
