Good morning! Today I’m using the Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes for the very first time. They make such a cute enclosure card, I can’t believe I waited this long. Here is my “Thanks a Bunch” card.
Thanks A Bunch
I was inspired by this week’s Paper Player’s challenge, Clean & Simple Fruits & Vegetables.
I began by stamping six carrots in Sahara Sand ink on Whisper White cardstock. Light Pumpkin Pie and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends were used to color the carrots.
Once again I’ve used the Subtle Textured embossing folder. It adds textured without overwhelming. Before embossing, I stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake ink.
After embossing, I adhered a strip of Burlap Ribbon with Tear & Tape. I attached each carrot with a Mini Dimensional at the leafy part above the Burlap ribbon.
To complete the Note Card, I decorated the envelope flap with a piece of Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. I used a Layering Circles die, and then trimmed to fit.
I apologize for using a Stampin’ Up! bundle that has retired, but I couldn’t get this cute carrot and sentiment out of my head. I’ve pictured the Basket Bunch bundle in my list of supplies below, just so you can see what I’m talking about. Everything else is current, and can be ordered.

The Dashing Deer stamp set and Detailed Deer dies leapt out of the Holiday Catalog as my number one favorite. I wasn’t expecting my first design to be a Thank You card without deer, but here it is.
Many Merry Thanks
I first cut the pretty, filigree corner dies from Thick Whisper White cardstock. The four, patterned corners fit perfectly on a 3″ square of cardstock, and I glued them in place.
“Many Merry Thanks” is a great sentiment, and I could see it stamped in black on Whisper White with small bright flowers suggested by the Fab Friday Challenge.
The Stamparatus was used to insure the sentiment, “Many Merry Thanks,” was in the middle. I die cut the small flowers from cardstock in the four colors: Call Me Clover, Lemon Lime Twist, Calypso Coral and Poppy Parade. I glued them right on top of the white flower in the filigree pattern.
I added texture to the top layer by using the Simple Stripes embossing folder, and dimension by using Foam Adhesive Strips beneath my 3″ square focal piece.

I have a feeling the deer were pretty upset they weren’t featured on my first card from the Dashing Deer stamp set, but their time will come.

I’m so excited to be joining the “What Will You Stamp” design team! Each week we get to design a project using a current Stampin’ Up! stamp set. Then, we ask everyone who has the stamp set to join us in posting their creations. For my very first week, it’s A Little Wild!
I may have gone “a little wild” with A Little Wild. It started off as a simple scene, but I soon decided to cut it up into a jigsaw puzzle. I began with a piece of Whisper White cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 3 1/2″, stamping images (bear, bees, hive, grass, flower) and sentiment (“hello there, honey bear”) in Memento Black ink.
A Little Wild What Will You Stamp Challenge
It was fun adding a little color with Stampin’ Blends.
Isn’t Honey Bear adorable! I thought this scene would make a cute jigsaw puzzle, so I got out my die from the Puzzle Pieces die set, and ran it through the Big Shot.
My cute jigsaw puzzle now needed a background, and I’d been anxious to use the new Corrugated embossing folder from the Holiday catalog. It gave wonderful texture, and the straight lines made it easy to glue the puzzle pieces down.
I decided to add a little more interest by having a few missing puzzle pieces, and leaving Honey Bear in one piece. This time, I stamped Honey Bear on Shimmery White cardstock, colored him with Stampin’ Blends, and used his Little Loves die for cutting.
The inside of the card ties it all together. I stamped the two puzzle pieces (“Love You” and “To Pieces”) from the Puzzle Pieces stamp set in Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz. The corners were decorated by using the Detailed Trio Punch.
Lastly, the envelope flap was decorated by stamping grass and the flower from A Little Wild.

Winter Woods was in my pre-order for the Stampin’ Up 2018 Holiday Catalog. I was excited to start experimenting with this gorgeous bundle, so here’s a sneak peek using my first idea.
Winter Woods
There’s nothing like a good sketch to get my creative juices flowing, and CAS(E) this sketch is the one I saw first thing this morning.
I decided to go with shades of green, and chose Pear Pizzazz for the card base. The top layer is Soft Sea Foam cardstock, embossed with the Subtle Textured embossing folder. I ran it through the Big Shot in both directions, as Mary Fish suggested, to give it a real linen paper look. I made a note to include a pack of Soft Sea Foam cardstock in my next order, because it is becoming one of my favorite colors.
The vertical tree trunk stamp was used to make the top rectangle. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow ink, and (without re-inking) stamped four times across Thick Whisper White cardstock. It is bordered with Pear Pizzazz cardstock, trimmed 1/8″ larger, so the border would be 1/16″ larger.
The bottom square is a piece of the fabulous Frosted Floral Designer Series Paper. I bordered it with Thick Whisper White cardstock to balance the white in the top rectangle.
The middle rectangle was cut from Soft Sea Foam and bordered with Pear Pizzazz. I stamped the sentiment from Winter Woods, “Thinking Of You This Season,” in Mossy Meadow ink. The branch is cut from Pear Pizzazz with a die from In the Woods, and layered on Thick Whisper White cardstock for sturdiness.
For a touch of color and sparkle, I added three, tiny, Iridescent Sequins.
I barely touched the surface of this fantastic bundle, Winter Woods, and you’ll be seeing it many times throughout the season.

Hello, and welcome to my relaxing day by the sea.
Colorful Seasons Takes Me Back to Hawaii
I always enjoy thinking about the beach. I returned from Hawaii two weeks ago, and told you more photos would be coming. Here I am with my daughter, Katey, out in the ocean. We are 500 steps from the shore (I counted on the way back), and still only knee deep, because it’s a sandbar.
Did I show you my grandson, Drake? He’s only 13, and making Grandma Su look really small. We are walking home from church. They live on Hickam Base, close to Pear Harbor, because Billy is in the Coast Guard. Everything is so convenient. It’s wonderful!

Okay, back to my card. It all began, because of three challenges. The theme at Global Design Project is “Take Me to the Sea.”
The sketch is from As You See It.
And, the colors at Sunday Stamps, “Summer Splash,” are perfect for a day at the beach.
The card base is Night of Navy card stock, the ocean is Pacific Point cardstock, and the sand is Sahara Sand cardstock.
I used the Ruffled embossing folder to give the ocean waves, and the Subtle embossing folder to give the sand texture. Before embossing the sand, I used a stamp from the Magical Mermaid stamp set to stamp shells in Crumb Cake ink.
Don’t you love my canvas chair? It’s in the Colorful Seasons stamp set. The wood frame is stamped in Crumb Cake ink, and the fabric is Pumpkin Pie ink. It’s “two-step” stamping, and I used the Stamparatus to make sure the fabric met the frame just right.
The glass of lemonade is stamped in Daffodil Delight ink, and it has a die for cutting in the Seasonal Layers die set.
Did you see I wrote “hello” in the sand. Sometimes I just have to use something that has retired. I LOVE paper words! It’s from the Greetings die set, for those of you who may have it.

Welcome to a Sneak Peek of one of my favorite bundles in the Holiday Catalog, First Frost. This is such a versatile set, and I’m using it today for a Thanksgiving card.
First Frost Thanksgiving Card
My color scheme was decided by the Paper Player’s Challenge #405:
And, my layout is from TGIF #172:
One of the most wonderful things about this First Frost stamp set are the two flowers.
You can achieve watercolored flowers without any water or effort. Just stamp a flower on a Stampin’ Ink Pad, and that’s all it takes. Really!
I used the colors Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight (So Saffron is in my next order).
The flowers were stamped on Very Vanilla, so the edges of the flowers would blend with the background, after cutting with their dies. I also used a fabulous, little sprig die, which looks like Baby’s Breath in this bouquet.
“Happy Thanksgiving” is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, and punched with the Classic Label punch.
Before gluing everything in place, I stamped the background branch with leaves in Old Olive. I’ll be using this set A LOT!
