Welcome to Global Design Project’s color challenge, using Soft Sea Foam, Bermuda Bay, and Blackberry Bliss. I designed a card using two bundles: Cup Of Tea (2022 July-December Mini Catalog) and Honeybee Home (2022-2023 Annual Catalog). The stamp sets and dies can be purchased separately, but you’ll save 10% by ordering the bundles.
Honeybee Tea
I began by using a Tea Cup Die to cut three cups from Basic White Cardstock. Thinking of filling the cups with Honey Tea, I decorated the cups with honeybees from the Honeybee Home Stamp Set. Blackberry Bliss Ink was used to stamp the bees, as well as brushing around the edges with a Sponge Dauber.
The tea bag was made with a Tea Cup Die and Basic White Cardstock. I stamped the outline and sentiment, “It’s Time for tea,” in Bermuda Bay Ink; both from the Cup Of Tea Stamp Set. The tea bag was attached with Linen Thread and Dimensionals.
The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 51/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with Brights 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die. I used the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut the Basic White layer, which I embossed with the Hive Embossing Folder.
After filling the cups with Soft Sea Foam cuttings from Honeybee Blooms Dies, I attached the cups with Dimensionals, and my honeybee tea party was ready to begin.

It’s always fun to CASE the designers, and this week’s Global Design Project is to CASE Susan Wong.
I love Susan’s color combination against white, so I used Polished Pink and Mango Melody for my card design.
First, I decided on a Polished Pink card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, and layered it with Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″.
Second, I used the large, floral, Artistic Die to cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock.
Artistically Inked
Third, using my Stamparatus for positioning, I stamped the larger flower, from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, in Mango Melody Ink, and the smaller flower in Polished Pink. Prior to stamping, I placed the white cardstock on the Stamparatus platform, laying the die-cut on top, so I could determine where the color should be. Then I attached the stamps to the lid, inking one flower at a time.
Fourth, I stamped “Happy Birthday”, from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink. By using the Stamparatus, I was able to stamp the sentiment several times to get it nice and dark.

Fifth, before gluing the die-cut on top of the stamped flowers, I splattered the flowers with dots by flicking the brush end of a Basic Black Stampin’ Blend against the lid.
Finally, I added three sequins, and my CASE was complete. Now, it’s your turn to join the fun and CASE Susan.

This week’s Global Design Project is a theme: shape. The Brushed Shapes Dies were calling to me, and I ended up making a birthday card with a “whirlwind” of wishes. Isn’t it fun?
I began by using the 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper, cutting two sizes of circular shapes, placing the larger circles on Dimensionals, and the smaller circles, flat with glue. The colors are Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky and Tahitian Tide, and they really sparkle in person.
Brushed Shapes Whirlwind
The “whirlwind” was created with Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Brushed Shapes squiggle die, colored with Stampin’ Blends in three colors, Parakeet Party, Orchid Oasis, and Tahitian Tide, and layered for thickness. The coloring was done prior to cutting, by painting stripes of the colors on the cardstock.
For the background, I used the largest and second largest Deckled Dies to cut a layer of Basic White Cardstock, and Tahitian Tide from 2022-2024 6″X6″ Designer Paper. The Tahitian Tide was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, and the white layer was attached with Dimensionals.
“Wishing you the happiest of birthdays” is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set, cut with its Sentiment Silhouettes Die, and attached with Dimensionals.

Sketch challenges are a great way to be inspired, and this is what we have for today’s Global Design Project. So, check out what the designers have done with the circle, then create your own design to share in our gallery.
I decided to create a garden with butterflies, and began with a section of Awash In Beauty Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Then, I used the largest Stylish Shapes Circle Die to cut a hole in the garden.
Beneath the circle, I glued a layer of Vellum Layering Designs, which I attached to a Thick Basic White card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″) with Dimensionals.
Encircled Butterflies
The butterflies were created with Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Brilliant Wings Die. I glued their bodies to the vellum, leaving their wings to fly.
The sentiment, “sunshine to brighten your day,” is from the Sending Smiles Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, used a Sending Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
After giving the three butterflies tiny heads of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels, my card was complete.

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun, color challenge, using Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, and Daffodil Delight. You only have to wait four more days to order the Splendid Thoughts Bundle, and I wanted to give you a sneak peek in this color combo, unlike its coordinating designer paper.
I began by stamping two of the plants, and a bee, from the Splendid Thoughts Stamp Set, in Parakeet Party Ink and Daffodil Delight Ink. The stamp set has “two-step” stamping, which I used for coloring; intentionally not matching the outlines for an artistic look. Then, I used three Splendid Stems Dies to cut the plants, and the bee, which match the outlines.
Splendid Thoughts Sneak Peek #1
Next, I used three Splendid Stems Dies to cut plants that are “open” from three colors of cardstock: Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight and Basic White.
The bowl is another Splendid Stems Die, cut from Basic White Cardstock that I stamped in Tahitian Tide Ink with a splotch stamp from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set. Prior to attaching it with Dimensionals, I stamped it in Memento Black Ink with a sentiment from the Splendid Thoughts Stamp Set, “today is a day to remember.”
The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4′ X 5 1/4″, given a border with the second largest Stitched with Whimsy Die. This was glued to a Tahitian Tide card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
I just love this bundle, and can’t wait to continue making cards with it!

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE Krista Frattin, and I love her anchor card. There happens to be a similar anchor in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, Hope & Prayer Stamp Set, which I’ve been waiting to use.
The first thing I did was stamp the anchor in Coastal Cabana Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, along with the sentiment in Basic Gray Ink. Then, I used the sixth largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting.
The two sweet birds were stamped in the same colors of ink, and I used my Paper Snips for cutting them by hand.
“Hope anchors the soul”
The background is Vellum Layering Designs, cut with the fourth largest Deckled Rectangles Die, glued to Basic White Cardstock, cut with the same die, to prevent the color of the next layer showing through the vellum. The next layer is Subtles 6X6 Designer Paper in Coastal Cabana, cut with the third largest Deckled Rectangles Die.
I attached the top layer and Coastal Cabana layer with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Prior to attaching everything, I scored three lines across the card front, using a Paper Trimmer. This added just enough detail, don’t you think?
When the birds took flight across my card, it was complete.
