Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is a Color Challenge.

Using Crumb Cake, Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow, the Design Team has created some great projects that you will all want to see. We hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I was playing with the Happy Forest Friends Designer Paper over the weekend, when Brown Bear, Red Fox, and Golden Owl said it was about time I used the stamps!

Forest Friends
My forest friends heard that the Pals Blog Hop was a color challenge, and thought they were the perfect colors. Brown Bear said to stamp him in Crumb Cake Ink, Red Fox said Cajun Craze, of course, and Golden Owl claimed Mango Melody.

After using their stamps from the Happier Than Happy Stamp Set, they asked me to cut them free from the Basic White Cardstock using their Happy Forest Dies. Plus, Golden Owl said she needed a perch, so I stamped a tree stump in Crumb Cake Ink, and used its die for cutting. This made her very happy.

The fourth color in the challenge was Mossy Meadow, and just right for a forest background. First, I cut Basic White Cardstock with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, and embossed it with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder. Then, I used a Blending Brush and Mossy Meadow Ink for coloring. This layer was glued to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The forest friends were delighted that I made them feel at home.

Brown Bear said he wanted to welcome everyone to their forest! For the sentiment, he said I should stamp “welcome” from their stamp set in Mossy Meadow Ink, and use a Happy Forest Die for cutting. He even suggested I tie it to his paw with Linen Thread, which I thought was a great idea.
Suddenly, Golden Owl said their card needed one more thing. She flew off, and came back with a Fine Sparkle Gem, which she placed on the welcome tag. She declared the card was complete, now that a gem matched her beautiful Mango Melody feathers.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. You can see I’m happy, cuddling with Lily, who is one month in this picture.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on November 9th when the theme will be Home for the Holidays.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is Focus on the Sentiment. Our Design Team are showcasing a sentiment as the focal point of their project. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals share with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
This little girl was given the endearing nickname of “Pumpkin,” and wanted to be dressed as a pumpkin for Halloween.
Looking through my Stampin’ Up! supplies, she said we had everything we needed! Most importantly, Pumpkin wanted to say “boo!,” which she said I could create with the Alphabest Bundle.
I stamped the letters “b-o-o,” and the exclamation point, in Orchid Oasis Ink, and Pumpkin used the Best Label Punch for cutting. She said punching was her favorite thing to do.

Pumpkin’s Halloween Card
For the background, Pumpkin chose Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″), cut with a Split Card Textures Die, because she thought it looked like spider webs. And, she wanted me to stamp the scary spider, from her Bewitching Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink. She loved that the tiny dots matched the frame around the Alphabest letters.
There was no question about the card base (8 1/2″ X 51 /2″, folded at 4 1/4″), because black would be the best for Halloween.

Last, but not least, we made Pumpkin’s costume. Her shoes and socks were stamped in Memento Black Ink on the card front, and colored with Pumpkin Pie and Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blends. She made sure her socks matched the sentiment, and held really still, so I wouldn’t go outside the lines.
The pumpkin is from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Rustic Pumpkin Die. After coloring with Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends, I put it over Pumpkin’s head, attaching it with Dimensionals.

Pumpkin is quite pleased with her costume, and can’t wait for everyone at the Pals Blog Hop to see it!
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on October 12th when our theme will be a color challenge!
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

This month, the theme is Seasons’ Greetings. This month’s design team members showcase projects inspired by their favorite seasonal time of the year. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Jerome the gnome said it was about time I made a Christmas card, and he asked to bring along a couple of friends! In order to accommodate his buddies, I decided to make a slimline card. This was easily accomplished with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 7″, folded at 3 1/2″. And, the great news is, Stampin’ Up! has ready-made Slimline Envelopes that fit this size perfectly. You can check them out in my Product List below.

Jerome’s Slimline Card
First, to make Jerome and friends, I used Gnomes Dies to cut their cut their beards from Basic White Cardstock, and their pants & shoes from Real Red Cardstock. Their noses were cut from Basic White Cardstock, that I colored with an Ivory Stampin’ Blend, and their hats were cut from three patterns of Painted Christmas Designer Paper. Can you guess which one is Jerome? (hint: he wanted to be in the middle).

Before attaching the gnomes with Dimensionals, I created the background with Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/4″ X 3 1/4″, and the Decorated With Happiness Stamp Set. I stamped the branch in Evening Evergreen and Garden Green, and used the “two-step” stamp for coloring in a lighter shade.

“Boughs of jolly” is from the Decorated With Happiness Stamp Set, stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Stylish Shapes Die. Jerome said I should hang it from the bough with a Decorated Pines Die, cut from Real Red Cardstock. I liked his idea!

While the supplies were in front of me, I completed the inside by stamping the boughs, and “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.” The sentiment is from the Kindest Gnomes Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red Ink, and cut with a Potted Succulents Die.
Jerome was pleased with his card, but asked to be moved to the end, next to the sentiment. I said he could swap hats, so I guess we’ll never know what he decided.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on [second Wednesday]. Our theme will be Focus on the Sentiment, when the design team will showcase a sentiment as the focal point of their project.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is Create Your Own Background. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
Since it’s World Watercolor Month, I wanted to use the “emboss resist” technique with watercoloring. I began by stamping Christmas trees in VersaMark on Shimmery White Cardstock, 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″. After stamping, I sprinkled the trees with White Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool. If you’re unfamiliar with these items, clicking on the pictures in my Product List will tell you more about them.
The Christmas trees are from two stamp sets: Trees for Sale from the 2022 July-December Mini Catalog, and Wisteria Wishes from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. The annual catalog has a sample of the trio of wisteria blooms upside down as Christmas trees, as you see here.

Emboss Resist Watercoloring
Next, I used the largest Water Painter to brush Shaded Spruce diluted ink across the surface of the stamped trees on the cardstock. The ink was diluted by squeezing drops of water from the brush handle to the lid of the ink pad. It’s fun to see how the color only adheres to the cardstock, while the heat embossed trees remain glistening white, “resisting” the ink. I wish you could see the sheen in the photos!

After drying, I used the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals. Then, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut the Pool Party layer behind it. The two layers were glued to a Mint Macaron card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ x 41/4″.

The sentiment, “Christmas Greetings,” is from the Trees For Sale Stamp Set. I have to tell you, this set has a coordinating die set that’s a FREE Sale-a-bration item, so I included it in my Product List. Don’t wait to order, because this set is popular, and once the Sale-a-bration items sell out, they won’t be restocked.
I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark on Mint Macaron Cardstock, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, and set with the Heat Tool. Then, I used two Deckled Rectangles to cut it to size, and glued it to the card front.
The last detail was adding clusters of For Everything Fancy Sequins. With just a little patience, reading glasses, and the Take Your Pick tool, I glued them in place with pin dots of Tombow Liquid Glue.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on August 10th. Our theme will be Seasons’ Greetings, where we will showcase projects inspired by our favorite seasonal time of the year.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is “CASE the Catalog” so the Design Team chose a card from the new Annual Catalog and has CASEd it with their own creative twist. We really hope that you are inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
After looking at all of the fabulous samples in the new Annual Catalog, I chose one I wish I had designed. I didn’t deviate much from the original, because I love it “as is,” which you can see on page 103.

A “case” of Summer Shadows
The background is the first thing that caught my eye, and I re-created it with Watercolor Shapes stamped in Pool Party Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After making a few circles with two sizes of round stamps, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting. This layer was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I used eight Summer Shadows Dies to cut the leaves and flowers from Shimmery White Cardstock. I believe these were watercolored in the sample, but I used Stampin’ Blends in eight colors: Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo, Calypso Coral, and Petal Pink. After coloring, I glued the parts together, and attached them to the card front.

The heat embossed sentiment is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set. “Best wishes” was stamped in VersaMark on Thick Basic White Cardstock, sprinkled with Gold Embossing Powder, and set with the Heat Tool. After cutting with a Potted Succulents Die, I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals.
Finally, I added gold Metallic Dots (retired), but the current, Rustic Metallic Dots would work, shown in my Product List below.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on July 13th. Our theme will be “Create Your Own Background” when our Design Team creates a background using any technique they wish, such as stencils, stamping, watercolor, embossing but not DSP.
Until then, have fun in your craft space!

Welcome to the Pals Fun Folds Blog Hop! We hope you enjoy the inspiration we have for you. You will find the lineup to the other great fun fold stampers at the bottom of my post.
I consider shaker cards “fun fold” cards, because they have something extra special going on. In this case, the Vintage Bottle Shaker Domes made accomplishing this very easy.

Shaker Bottle “just for you”
I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The largest Stitched Rectangles Die was used for cutting the layer of Awash In Beauty Designer Paper. This paper is gorgeous, and you can see all of the patterns by clicking on the picture in my Product List below.

Next, I used the fourth largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, preparing for some “two-step” stamping. The bouquet is from the Bottled Happiness Stamp Set, which has two stamps to make the bouquet. First, I placed the white rectangle on the platform of the Stamparatus. Second, I positioned the flower stamp on the rectangle, then picked it up with the lid of the Stamparatus. Third, I inked the stamp with Blushing Bride Ink, and lowered the lid, pressing the ink onto the rectangle, which was held in place by a magnet. Fourth, I positioned the leaf stamp on top of the stamped flowers, and repeated the process with Pear Pizzazz Ink.

The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set, cut with its Sentiment Silhouettes Die, and attached with Dimensionals. I stamped “just for you” in VersaMark on Thick Basic White Cardstock, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool.

My May Host Code Gift
Type the current host code (found beneath my profile picture) in the box provided, on your order of $75.00 or more, before tax and shipping, and I will send you the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder in June.
“The delicate design of the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder is subtle enough to match any project but it does not hold back on beauty. Leave the embossed look neutral to emphasize its texture, or get creative and use watercolor to accentuate the florals.”
