Cheerful Daisies for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, we have a Tic Tac Toe theme. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we love reading your comments. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I’m excited to show you my card, created with Cheerful Daisies, for Mother’s Day. I began by using four Cheerful Daisies Dies to cut Basic White Cardstock. Three flowers are attached, but could easily be snipped apart. Three separate dies were used to create the top layer of petals when glued together.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Cheerful Daisies, Wonderful Thoughts, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Hello Irresistible DSP; #cheerfuldaisies #wonderfulthoughts #deckledrectangles #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #sumpohr #stamping #stampinup #2023-2024annnualcatalog #thinkingofyoucards

Cheerful Daisies

Prior to gluing the petals, I colored the centers with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend, and the top petals with a Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. I also colored the leaves with a Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend. After gluing the flowers to the background, I lifted the top layer of petals for dimension.

The background is Hello Irresistible Designer Paper in a Soft Sea Foam pattern, cut with the third largest Deckled Rectangles Die. You’ll find this designer paper in Online Exclusives. I layered it on Basic White Cardstock, cut with the Largest Deckled Rectangles Die, and embossed with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder. The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 51/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Thinking of you” is from another new favorite from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog, the Wonderful Thoughts Bundle. The stamps have dies to make it look like the sentiments were fussy cut, and I love it! The similar set, Charming Sentiments, carried over, and now we have twice as many sentiments with die-cut borders.

I stamped the sentiment in Soft Sea Foam Ink, used its Wonderful Thoughts Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

For a little something extra, which fulfills the Tic Tac Toe requirement, I added three, Iridescent Pearls.

I used the third row down: Mother’s Day, Dry Embossing, and Pearls.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate you!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on June 14th, when our theme will be showcasing the New 2023-2025 In Colors.

Dainty Flowers for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Flowers in the Garden. We hope you are inspired by all the wonderful creations the Pals share with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we love reading your comments. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

The Dainty Delights Die Set has the perfect, little, flower for a small wreath. Thinking the flowers would look pretty against a light color, I began with a Sahara Sand card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ folded at 4 1/4″. Sahara Sand is a retiring color, but the Dainty Delight stamp set and dies are carrying over to the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog.

By Su Mohr for the Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Dainty Delight Stamp Set, Dainty Delight Dies, Irresistible Blooms Dies, Fancy Flora DSP; #daintydelight #irresistibleblooms #fancyflora #flowersoncards #wreaths #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #cardtechniques #stampinup #stamping #sumohr

Dainty Flower Wreath

Next, I cut a hole in the middle of the card front with one of the Irresistible Dies. This “online exclusives” set has been out of stock, due to popularity, but is scheduled to return the week of 4/17. That’s next week, so make a note of it!

After cutting, I backed the “hole” with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. The sentiment, “the best is yet to come,” is from the Dainty Delight Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink.

The eight flowers were cut with a Dainty Delight Die from Fancy Flora Designer Paper (retiring), and backed with like-colored cardstock for thickness. The centers were cut from cardstock in three colors: Soft Suede (retiring),  Rich Razzleberry (retiring), and Calypso Coral (carrying-over). After cutting and assembling the flowers, they were attached with Mini Dimensionals.

Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on May 10th, when our theme will be a Tic Tac Toe challenge, where our Design Team will create projects, using elements/supplies that are three in a row, column, or diagonal from the tic tac toe board.

My April Host Code Gift

Place an order of $75.00 or more, before tax and shipping, and I will send you the Raindrops Embossing Folder in May.

The Last Chance Products Sale began April 4th! There are two lists, which include all of the retiring products from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog and the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Clicking the covers will take you to the lists.

The lists are extra long, because this is a “color refresh” year, so the fifteen retiring colors, and their associated products (ink pads, re-inkers, cardstock, Stampin’ Blends, Stampin’ Write Markers, ribbons, embellishments) are listed. I’ve pictured the retiring colors below. These products are usually the first to sell out, so order asap.

The discounted prices are on the right side, and will show when you order the item.

Additionally, I want to point out that there are bundles listed, but that doesn’t indicate the stamp set and dies are retiring. It means they will no longer be in a bundle with the 10% discount.

To make viewing easier, there is a plus mark at the top to enlarge the print. Also, I recommend having the catalogs in hand, because the lists are organized by page number.

Grandson’s Humorous Birthday Card

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, our blog hop theme is Party Time! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

My grandson’s birthday was March 2; a milestone, 18 years! It’s hard to design a card for a young man, but I thought he would appreciate the humor from A Grand Kid Stamp Set.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details; Featuring: Alphabet A La Mode Dies, A Grand Kid Stamp Set, By The Bay DSP, Something Fancy Dies; #bythebay #agrandkid #alphabetdies #somethingfancydies #cardsforgrandchildren #humorouscards #cardsforkids #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #stamping #stampinup #sumohr #birthdaycards

18th Birthday Card

I began with a background of By The Bay Designer Paper, layered on paper from the same pack. The first layer is 4″ X 5 1/4″, and the top layer is 1/8″ smaller, giving it a 1/16″ border. The layers were glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Matching the gold streaks in the designer paper, I used the A La Mode Alphabet Dies to cut “18” from Gold Foil Sheets. To give the numbers dimension, I cut a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet the same size of the Gold Foil, adhered them together, placed the number dies on top of the Gold Foil, and ran them through the Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine. Then, I removed the numbers, leaving the backing intact until I was ready to attach them to the card front.

Next, I stamped the sentiments, “to an amazing Grandson,” and “no amount of money could ever show how much I love you…” in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used Something Fancy Dies for cutting, and placed them on Dimensionals. I love how the Something Fancy Dies have layering dies, to add a nice border.

To complete the humorous sentiment, I stamped “…but here’s some anyway.” And, I added “Happy Birthday,” also from A Grand Kid Stamp Set. I stamped it in Versamark, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and set it with the heat tool.

I went to the extra effort of giving the inside a border to match the front, and decorated the Basic White Envelope flap with another pattern of By The Bay Designer Paper. All of this may go unnoticed by my grandson, but he’s sure to enjoy the money:)

Thank you for visiting. Here we are in 2009; time flies!

Spring Blessings for the Pals Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, our blog hop theme made projects to celebrate Random Acts of Kindness Week, which is February 14-20! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

The Spring Blessings Stamp Set caught my eye the first time I turned the pages of the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. It is so unique, and I decided to create with it for the first time, today.

I began with a slim line card base, thinking it would best accommodate what I envisioned. I cut soft Sea Foam Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 7″, folded at 3 1/2″, and layered it with Dainty Flowers Designer Paper, 8 1/4″ X 3 1/4″. This designer paper is a favorite, FREE, Sale-a-bration item. Check out the ten, additional Sale-a-bration FREE gifts for February, listed below.

By Su Mohr for the Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Spring Blessings Stamp Set, Queen Bee Dies, Dainty Flowers DSP, Loose Flower Flourishes; #springblessings #queenbee #daintyflowers #springcards #slimlinecards #halfwreaths #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #palsbloghop #sumohr #stamping #stampinup

Spring Blessings

Prior to gluing the layer to the card base, I used a Queen Bee Die to cut the half-circle wreath from Pear Pizzazz Cardstock. The wreath was used to measure the distance between the girls, so they could hold it with their hands. Then, I stamped the girls, from the Spring Blessings Stamp Set, in Early Espresso Ink on the Dainty Flowers Designer Paper.

I colored their skin with an Ivory Stampin’ Blend, and their hair with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends. Their dresses were stamped in stars (Old Olive Ink) and flowers (Mango Melody Ink). I also stamped some grass in Old Olive Ink, and flowers in her hair with a Mango Melody Stampin’ Write Marker.

After gluing the wreath in place, I decorated it with five, Loose Flower Flourishes, an embellishment in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.

The sentiment, “Hoping this spring brings you many blessings,” is one of five sentiments in the Spring Blessings Stamp Set. I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink on Dainty Flowers Designer Paper, used a Queen Bee Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

My card is ready to send for Random Acts of Kindness Week, along with more of my handmade cards.

Lily is joining me to say, thanks for stopping by!

Dainty Flowers Fun Fold for Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, our blog hop theme is Sale-A-Bration! We hope you will be inspired by all the beautiful creations the Pals made for you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I fell in love with the Dainty Flowers Design Paper when I first saw it online, and it was even more spectacular when seeing it in person. I decided the best way to show it off was on a Double-Z Fun Fold card.

By Su Mohr for Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart to go to my website for details! Featuring: Dainty Delight Dies, Love For You Dies, Haope & Prayer Stamp Set, Dainty Flowers Designer Paper; #daintydelight #loveforyou #hope&prayer #daintyflowers #funfolds #fancyfolds #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #doublezfold #palsbloghop #SAB #sale-a-bration2023 #stamping #stampinup #sumohr

Neil’s Anniversary Card

First, I cut a piece of 8 1/2″ X 11″ Mossy Meadow Cardstock in half, 4 1/4″ X 11″, and scored it at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. You can use the other half to make a second card.

The three panels were decorated with Dainty Flowers Designer Paper; 2 1/2″ X 4″ for the two smaller panels, and 5 1/4″ X 4″ for the larger panel.

After gluing the panels, I cut a band for the bottom from Mossy Meadow Cardstock, 11″ X 1 1/4,” scored at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″. The band was decorated with three strips of Dainty Flowers Designer Paper.  The long strip is 5 1/4″ X 1″, and the two shorter strips are 2 1/2″ X 1″.

Next, I added details, using new, Dainty Delight Dies, and new, Love For You Dies. The large vine was cut from Old Olive Cardstock, and doubled for sturdiness, since half of it is without support. I used a Foam Adhesive Sheet and Rich Razzleberry Cardstock for the flower on the front. The daisies are Crushed Curry with centers of Soft Suede, and stems of Mossy Meadow. “Love you so much” was cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock.

The trickiest part of the Double-Z Fun Fold is fastening the band. It seems odd, but the long section of the band is glued to the short front section. I find it easiest to apply glue to the folded band, because this exposes only the part that should have glue. Then, fold the card while adhering the band in place. I suggest having a “dry” run before applying glue.

The sentiment, “I thank God every time I think of you” is from the Hope & Prayer Stamp Set. I stamped it in Old Olive Ink on Dainty Flowers Designer Paper, used Deckled Rectangles Dies to cut it to size, and attached it with Dimensionals.

The Double-Z Fun Fold card, with this amount of decoration, fits nicely inside our Medium Envelopes. But, this card will be staying here, because it’s my husband’s anniversary card, when we celebrate February 1. Thirty-seven years have passed too quickly!

Thanks for hopping by!

Gnome Gift Card Holders for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, the theme is Last Minute Gifts/Cards to inspire you with your holiday list. We really hope that you will enjoy all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

The best last minute gift is a gift card, and you can personalize it with an easy-to-make gift card holder. I make these every year, and it always feels fresh with new designer paper, stamps, and die-cuts.

This year, I  chose two colors of cardstock, Real Red and Garden Green, to coordinate with Painted Christmas Designer Paper. This fabulous paper has been on sale, and the last time I checked, it was still available.

By Su Mohr for Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Gnomes Dies, Painted Christmas DSP; #gnomes #gnomesoncards #giftcardholders #gnomesgiftcardholders#handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #stamping #stampin'up #christmas2022 #sumohr #stamping #stampinup

Gnome Gift Card Holders

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut  8 1/2″ X 11″ cardstock into one piece that is 7 3/4″ X 10″.  With the 7 3/4 side at the top, score at 6″ and 2 1/2″, then cut in half at 5″, making two gift card holders.

It helps to have the right tools, and Stampin’ Up’s Paper Trimmer is my favorite for measuring, cutting, and scoring.

To decorate the gift card holders, cut two pieces of Designer Series Paper: The bottom front is 4 3/4″ X 2 1/4″. The top front is 4 3/4″ X 1 1/2″.

Cut one piece of Basic White Cardstock for the sentiment on the inside, 4 3/4″ X 1 1/2″. “Merry Christmas” is from the Ringed With Nature Stamp Set.

Use a Circle Punch to make a finger slot in the middle of the bottom front.

Attach a piece of Tear & Tape to each side of the bottom (inside), and close, sealing your pocket.

Cut the bands 7 3/4″ X 1″. Score at 6 1/8″ and 2 1/2″. You want that extra 1/8 inch on the scoring, so the band will slide off and on easily.

Decorate the bands with cute gnomes, cut with Gnomes Dies from red, green and white cardstock, and Painted Christmas Designer Paper.  The nose is Basic White Cardstock, colored with an Ivory Stampin’ Blend.

Glue the band with the raw edge in front, and cover with your glued gnome. This keeps the back looking smooth and pretty.

Thanks for stopping by. In honor of Mama, who always made sure a turkey picture was taken.
