Have you gotten your FREE Sale-a-bration products? Better hurry, because the special deal ends February 28th. There are 9 products from which to choose, for every $50 or $100 order. You can click on the pictures, in my Product List below, to see the details on each one. You’ll recognize them, because the price is $0.00.
Today’s card features two of the Sale-a-bration products: Special Moments and Daffodil Afternoon.
I began with a Very Vanilla card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Polished Pink Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″. This was layered with a beautiful pattern of Daffodil Afternoon Designer Paper, 1/8″ smaller, giving the pattern a 1/16″ pink border.

Next, I used my Paper Snips, and cut three daffodils from the Daffodil Afternoon DSP that matched three of the flowers on my card front. Before gluing the layers together, I attached the daffodils with Dimensionals, and trimmed the edges. They are visible in my last photo.

Daffodil Afternoon
For the sentiment, I stamped, “for someone who is wonderful in each and every way,” in Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock, and used an Ornate Frames Die for cutting. The frame was cut with an Ornate Frames Die from Polished Pink Cardstock. They were glued together, and attached to the card front with Dimensionals.

Now, you can see the dimension of the three daffodils I fussy cut; two on the lower right, and one at the top. They are much easier to see in person.

I was inspired by TGIF.

I was asked to make a St. Patrick’s Day card, so I pulled out Garden Green Cardstock and Ink, and started thinking.
To make a four leaf clover, I used Regals 6X6 Designer Paper, and a Bouquet Of Love Die to cut four hearts. After folding the hearts in half, I placed them on Dimensionals, one on each side of the heart. The stem was cut from Garden Green Cardstock with a Daffodil Die, snipped to size.

Four Leaf Clover
The dotted paper was created with a Basic Pattern Decorative Mask, which I placed on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Sponge Dauber to apply Garden Green Ink. Then, I used an Ornate Layers Die for cutting.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder. This was glued to a Garden Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

I rarely use retired items, but I needed a small sentiment to say “happy st. patrick’s day.” I found it in the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, used the Messages Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
Thank you, Linda, for giving me the incentive to design this card.

The layout was inspired by TGIF.

In case you haven’t noticed, there is a fabulous bicycle in the Windmill Fields Die Set. It would look good in any color, so I decided to use it in the three colors for this week’s TGIF color challenge: Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate, and Soft Sea Foam. After one time through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, the bicycles had the intricate pieces so perfectly intact, I left them that way. Two times through would have removed the pieces, and it’s really cute that way also.

Bicycle Ride
For the background, I began with a Smoky Slate card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The sky is Simply Marbleous Designer Paper, 5 1/2″ X 2 1/4″, cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die. I used the same die to cut the roadway from Pattern Party Designer Paper, 5 1/2″ X 1 1/2″.
Next, I cut the row of tulips, also a Windmill Fields Die, from Basic White Cardstock. After gluing the sky and roadway to the card front, meeting at the middle, I glued the row of flowers, which covered the seam.

The sentiment, “Driving by just to say hi,” is from the Driving By Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used the Messages Die for cutting. This is an unusual die, because all of the labels are attached, and meant to be cut at the same time. I prefer using it with one sentiment at a time, and place my stamped sentiment on a small piece of paper beneath one label for cutting. It has a great variety of sizes, which you can see in my Product List Below.
The Driving By Stamp Set, and Simply Marbleous Designer Paper, are two Sale-a-bration items you can choose for FREE with a qualifying order.

I was inspired by TGIF.

I had almost completed today’s blog post, when an idea popped into my head. Why not add fish to the river using a Whale Done stamp and Misty Moonlight Ink? It made me giggle, so I thought the recipient would enjoy it also.

River Hearts
My card began with New Horizons Designer Paper, 5 1/4″ X 4″, glued to an Evening Evergreen card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I cut the heart, with a Bouquet Of Love Die, from the backside of the New Horizons Designer Paper. After adding a layer of cardstock for thickness, I attached it to the card front with Dimensionals.

Next, I used a Love You More Than Die to cut the word “love” from Fresh Freesia Cardstock, layered it with cardstock for thickness, and glued it to the heart. The words are attached in the die, but separate when cut.

Last, I floated hearts in the river, using a Sweet Hearts Die to cut them all at once. And, you know about the fish in my first photo. Hee hee.

I was inspired by TGIF.

All of the pastel shades in the Sweet Talk Designer Paper are showing on today’s Valentine. Isn’t the combination yummy? The mini hearts were cut with four dies that come in the Sweethearts Die Set. I was able to cut the mini hearts (two each of the six colors) from a pattern of larger hearts, and attach them with half snips of Mini Dimensionals. Warning: it’s a bit tedious, so don’t attempt if you don’t like “tiny.”

Many Mini Hearts
The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die, and embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder. The embossing folder is my gift to you this month; read the details below.
After embossing, I glued the layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The stacked rectangles were cut with Stitched Rectangles Dies, from three patterns of Sweet Talk Designer Paper, and glued to the edge of the background. I made the top rectangle narrower by using the die that’s a size larger for a horizontal cut.

The sentiment, “Happy Valentine’s Day,” is from the Sweet Conversations Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Sweet Talk Designer Paper, used the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

I was inspired by TGIF.

When Lily the Ladybug heard about the TGIF color challenge (Night of Navy, Gold, Blushing Bride), she said it was her greatest wish to be made of gold. How could I refuse? If you’d like to vote for Lily’s card, you can click here.

Lily the Ladybug
Lily was easily cut from Gold Foil, using her Ladybug Builder Punch. Then, I stamped her wings in Night Of Navy Ink, and used the same punch for cutting. With a tiny bit of glue at her neck, and Mini Dimensionals to lift her wings, she was complete.

Next, we created her beautiful flowers, using the Medium Daisy Punch and Blushing Bride Cardstock. I punched six rounds of petals, curled the petals with a Bone Folder, and attached two rounds at the center with a Mini Dimensional. Topping each flower at the center is Gold Foil, cut with a Poppy Moments Die, one of my returning favorite sets in the Annual Catalog.
The corner cut-out was made with another Poppy Moments Die, cut from Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Prior to attaching everything, I glued the layer to a Night Of Navy card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This die is shown in the first photo above.

This is Lily’s favorite picture, because you can see her shine. Plus, it highlights the sentiment she chose from her stamp set, and wants your greatest wish to come true. I stamped it in Night of Navy Ink, and used a Potted Succulents Die for cutting. You can see all of our supplies in the Product List below.
