I love stamping the Thoughtful Blooms, and then using the Small Bloom Punch. It’s especially fun knowing they can be yours for Free! Keep reading…..

Bee & Blooms
I began with a Thick Whisper White card base, topped with Smoky Slate Cardstock and Whisper White Cardstock. Both layers were cut with Stitched Rectangles Dies.
Next, I used Detailed Bee Dies to cut the bee from Smoky Slate Cardstock, and the hive from Thick Whisper White Cardstock.

Once the bee and hive were in place, it was time for the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set. I stamped the vine in Pool Party Ink, and “Thank You,” from the same stamp set. Then, I stamped three flowers in Melon Mambo Ink, and used the Small Bloom Punch for cutting.
Do you see how the centers of the flowers shine? They are Clear Epoxy Droplets, which you can check out in my Product List.

My colors are from TGIF:

A pink flamingo heart was the beginning of today’s tropical valentine.

Tropical Valentine
I used a Be Mine Stitched Die to cut the heart from Tropical Oasis Designer Paper, and layered it for thickness.
For the background, I embossed Whisper White Cardstock with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder, and layered it on a Thick Whisper White card base.

Before embossing the background, I stamped it with splatter stamps, from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set, in Calypso Coral Ink.
Next, I used a Tropical Die to cut the foliage from Sparkle Glimmer Paper, then added more shine with some Iridescent Sequins.

“Sent with love” is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die.

I’m adding my valentine, with a tropical twist, to the gallery at TGIF.

Stampin’ Up’s Painted Poppies are fabulous, and it’s no wonder they were featured on the front cover of the 2020 Mini Catalog. Why not CASE one of their samples? And, for today’s card, I did just that!

Easter Poppies
I began the design with a 2″ banner cut from Peaceful Moments Designer Paper in a green& white stripe. To get the perfect banner cut, I used the Banner Triple Punch, pictured in my Product List.
The background is Whisper White Cardstock, embossed with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder, and layered on a Thick Whisper White card base.

Next, I stamped the “splotch” from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set in Highland Heather Ink on Whisper White Cardstock (3 times), and used a Poppy Moments Die for cutting. Then, I used a die from the same set to cut three Whisper White “frames.”
TIP: Gluing the “frames” just in the center is sufficient to hold them in place. Plus, the lift on the edges adds dimension.
I used two more dies from the Poppy Moments Die Set: the poppy centers, cut from Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, and the leaves, cut from Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz Cardstock.

The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings, stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink, and cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die. For a touch of sparkle, I added some Woven Threads Sequins.

I was inspired by two challenges:

I know it’s early, but this Clubhouse Bundle makes such perfect Father’s Day cards, I had to do it!

Golf Clubs
My inspiration for today’s card was the sketch at TGIF.

This fantastic golf club from the Golf Club Die Set came to mind, and I cut five from Silver Foil. Then, I glued the golf clubs to Seaside Spray Cardstock that I cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die.
I used the second largest Rectangles Stitched Die to cut the background from Whisper White Cardstock. How do you like the embossing? It’s the new Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder, which coordinates with the Clubhouse Bundle. I photographed my card on an argyle design from the Country Club Designer Paper. Isn’t it great how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything?

“Happy Father’s Day” is from the Clubhouse Stamp Set, stamped in Garden Green ink, and cut with a Golf Clubs Die. The Garden Green Cardstock surrounding it was also cut with a Golf Club Die.
Before gluing the Argyle background to the Thick Whisper White card base, I wound Metallic Silver Thread around the middle, and taped it to the back. To complete the card, I positioned the golf club rectangles on Mini-Dimensionals, and glued the sentiment in the middle.

Thanks for checking out this masculine card. The Clubhouse Bundle is great for birthday cards also, and you can see details of my supplies by clicking on the pictures in my Product List.

Here we go with a masculine card; not that women wouldn’t like it also. But, most men would choose to be in the mountains, rather than in a store shopping, if you know what I mean.

Mountain Air
This was my first time using the Mountain Air Stamp Set, and it was fun discovering the stamping possibilities. It has the unique quality of being a “reversible” stamp set.
I began by stamping the solid mountain range in Rich Razzleberry Ink on Very Vanilla Cardstock. Then, I turned it over and stamped the detailed mountain range. Next, I stamped the detailed row of trees, and used a Sponge Dauber to fill in the space between the base of the mountains and the tree tops.

After stamping the mountain scene, I used a Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting, and gave this a 1/16″ border of Basic Black Cardstock. Finally, I glued this layer to a Rich Razzleberry card base.

The Mountain Air Stamp Set comes “bundled” with a die set, Majestic Mountains. It has a wonderful tree that looks great cut from Basic Black Cardstock.
The sentiment, “Rest & Relax, you deserve it,” is from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, and used a Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting.

The colors from TGIF are not colors I would normally choose. This is what’s fun about challenges!

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you can see the possibilities this set has to offer. You can click on the pictures in my Product List for more details.
Have a great day!

How do you make a paper pineapple?

You buy Stampin’ Up’s Tropical Oasis Designer Paper and In The Tropics Die Set!
I know I’ve already given you sneak peeks of some favorites from the 2020 Mini Catalog, but the Tropical Oasis Suite is at the top of my list. I admit, I LOVE Hawaii., and this suite takes me there. It’s on pages 38-40 in the 2020 Mini Catalog.

Aloha Pineapple
I began by using two of the dies from In The Tropics die set to cut the pineapple. Can you see how I used the Tropical Oasis Designer Paper? The leafy part of the top has pre-cut sections for added dimension. How fun!

The pineapple is resting on a brown, mat design, also in the DSP collection. It really came to life when I embossed it with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder, which is included in the suite.

“Aloha,” also in the die set, was cut from Noble Peacock Foil. It’s the perfect word to complete the suite. Don’t you think?

I’ll be adding today’s project to the TGIF gallery, where “Foil” is being highlighted.

Only a short time to wait until Jan. 3, 2020, when you can have it all, by ordering the Tropical Oasis Suite. However, the items can be purchased individually, as you’ll see in my Product List.
The Noble Peacock Foil and Crumb Cake Cardstock aren’t in the suite, but there are some fun surprises in the Suite that I haven’t mentioned. Check it out!
