Global Design Project is having a color challenge this week, so I decided to see what I could create using these colors in a modern, alternative holiday card.
These are the colors:
I chose three different patterns of Designer Series Paper in the challenge colors, Peekaboo Peach, Tangerine Tango and Lemon Lime Twist. Then, I cut my modern, triangular trees with a Quilt Builder Framelits die.
Since Lemon Lime Twist is my favorite of the three colors, it became the card base. I wanted the trees to stand out against a Whisper White background, which I embossed with the Softly Falling folder.
Most of you will recognize the Swirly Scribbles die I used for making the snow drifts. I’m so glad it’s still available in the current catalog.
The Card Front Builder Die created the moon and stars in the sky.
“Merry and Bright” was the perfect sentiment for this card, which was in the Hearts Come Home stamp set. I stamped it in Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock, and cut it out with the oval Stitched Shape die.
The trees and sentiment were popped up on dimensionals, and my card was complete.
I have several friends who would appreciate receiving this card. I may be making more than one!
Thanks for visiting today. I hope I’ve inspired you!
