I was having fun with the “ink to stamp” technique a few days ago, and decided to use it on today’s masculine birthday card, yes masculine. My daughter said she would never send this card to a guy, because of the light purple, Highland Heather. But, my father loved all shades of purple, so I’m sticking with it for the Paper Player’s challenge.
I began with Whisper White Cardstock (3 1/4″ X 4 1/2″), a Textured Essentials stamp, and six Stampin’ Write Markers. I used the Stamparatus and the “ink to stamp” technique that I described in coloring “so grateful.” Clicking this card will take you to my blog post:
There’s nothing like black to make bright colors pop, so I gave the white layer a border of 1/16″ Basic Black Cardstock.
The background is the aforementioned, Highland Heather Cardstock, embossed with the Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder, and adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base.
“Happy” is a Word Wishes Die, cut from Rainbow Glimmer Paper, and given dimension by using a Foam Adhesive Sheet.
“Birthday” is from the Well Said Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a retired die from the Merry Christmas set. Sorry, but I HAD to use it; it fit the word so perfectly. All the other supplies are in my Product List below.
The Paper Player’s challenge was my inspiration.
