Today’s card was an experiment of combining the Stitched Triangles Dies with Stitched Rectangles Dies, and this combo was a fun discovery.

Stitched Triangles

The idea began with a sketch challenge, which you can see below. First, I cut a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Next, I used the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut a layer of Basic White Cardstock. Then, I backed this with Misty Moonlight Cardstock that was cut 1/8″ larger.

Now, for the fun discovery. The largest triangle, with the right angle, fits perfectly within the second largest Stitched Rectangle! You can refer to the picture of the dies in my Product List to see what I mean.

I was excited to cut two triangles from Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper; blue sky for the top, and foliage for the bottom. Before gluing things together, I stamped “Hello,” in Misty Moonlight Ink, at the corner of the sky. It’s from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set. Also stamped in Misty Moonlight Ink, is the diagonal row of flowers from the Celebrate With Flowers Stamp Set. Doesn’t it look like the flower in the TGIF sketch?
