Today’s sympathy card is featuring two, Sweet Silhouettes, dandelions.

Dandelion Sympathy
The dandelions were cut from Vellum Cardstock with a Sweet Silhouettes Die, and lightly glued to a Basic Gray Cardstock background. I wanted the dandelions to have an “airy” feel, and the Vellum was perfect for the task. It’s surprising how strong Vellum is!
The teardrops are from a retired pack of epoxy drops, and the shape is so perfect, I had to use them. I’ve listed the new pack of Epoxy Droplets in my Product List.
The Basic Gray background is embossed with Subtle Texture, glued to the Smoky Slate card base, and framed with a piece of 6X6 Seaside Spray Designer Series Paper. The frame and background were made with Stitched Rectangles Dies.
The word,”sympathy,” is from the Well Written Die Set, cut from Smoky Slate Cardstock, and doubled for thickness. The sentiment is continued on the inside with words from the Well Said Stamp Set, “Know that love, prayers, and caring surround you today.”
I completed the envelope by embossing the flap with the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder, so it’s ready to send.
Two challenges were on my mind as I made today’s card.
I appreciate you stopping by, and thank you for shopping at my store!

Su, I really like how you combined the challenges for your card. Honestly, I did not realize that SU has a dandelion die, so I was excited to see how you used it on your card. Thanks for playing along at Global Design Project.
Such a wonderfully elegant and serene card Su.
How did you make the tear drops?
They are Stampin’Up! Epoxy Shapes.
What a perfect card Su! I love the tear drops, and what’s even better is that you could use this card for either a guy or a gal. I love the vellum flowers and textured background too. You always come up with really creative ideas!
Thank you, Tami! I appreciate your nice comment! Happy 4th!
