For the next several blog posts, I’ll be featuring the Translucent Florals Bundle. It’s a favorite from the Sept-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog, and will be available Sept 6th. The versatility, and beauty of the stamped images is amazing.
I began today’s card by stamping the leaves in Lost Lagoon Ink, and the flowers in Fresh Freesia Ink, on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used their Translucent Florals Dies for cutting.
With “Distinktive” stamps, the trick is to not have too much ink when stamping. This can be accomplished by moving the ink across your ink pad with a flat tool. I use the rounded edge of a plastic knife.
Framed Translucent Florals
Next, I made the frame for my floral arrangement with the largest, and second largest, Countryside Corners Dies, and Masterfully Made Designer Paper.
I glued the frame to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I gave the card front texture with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.
“Thank you” is from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss Ink, cut with a Timeless Arrangements Die, and attached with Dimensionals.
The leaves and flowers were glued at the bottom, and raised with Dimensionals at the top. Once they were in place, I added three Tinsel Gems in Lost Lagoon and Fresh Freesia. I love these colors and these gems, and they happen to be my Host Code Gift this month. See details below.
