For today’s card, I’ve expanded on what was in my “Ultimate Bundle” from yesterday’s blog post. Clicking the pic will take you there.

I began by using a Saint Nicholas Die to cut the fabulous Santa from Traditions of Saint Nick Design Paper. This paper is an Online Exclusive, and coordinates with the Saint Nicholas Dies from our Sept-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog. This designer paper has a nice thickness, so I added Dimensionals without needing a cardstock layer.
Saint Nick wanted to stand by a Christmas tree, which I cut from Mossy Meadow Cardstock, using a Forever Forest Die (Sept-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog).

Saint Nick
The background was created with Radiating Stitches Dies, another Online Exclusive. I used the largest die to cut the frame from Traditions Of Saint Nick DSP, and the second largest die to fill in the frame with Crumb Cake Cardstock. These were glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment is from the Saint Nicholas Stamp Set. Don’t you love the vintage feel? I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Tailor Made Tag for cutting, and attached with Dimensionals. The tag was just the right size for the sentiment, and had a little hole for adding Linen Thread.

Lulu loves to roller skate, and said she would design today’s card, if I let her be the focal point. She began her instructions by saying I needed to be careful cutting her from the Zoo Crew Designer Paper, because her long legs could be damaged. She kept wiggling, and I was glad to complete that task.

Lulu the Ostrich
It was much more fun to choose Lulu’s background, because we agreed that Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper would be perfect. She asked for a “fold down” corner design, to show the backside of the daisy paper, which was a beautiful blue.
I cut the daisy pattern 4 1/8″ X 5 3/8″, and glued it to a Boho Blue card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I folded the corner down, and Lulu hopped on with a little glue, and a Dimensional.
Next, Lulu chose the sentiment, “You can do amazing things,” because she said she thought skating was pretty amazing. It’s from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set, stamped in Pebbled Path Ink, cut with its Wonderful Thoughts Die, and attached with Dimensionals.

To complete her card, she said I needed to add three 2023-2025 In Color Dots to highlight the sentiment.
But, that’s not all! Lulu said I had to decorate the envelope flap with more of the beautiful blue designer paper, and it had to be embossed with her favorite bubbled dots. This folder is an online exclusive, which is in my Product List below. I think Lulu is happy with the results. It does look pretty, doesn’t it?

I was inspired by The Paper Players.

Today we have a “festive” Christmas card. I began by stamping the truck, from the Trucking Along Stamp Set, in Cherry Cobbler Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I stamped the truck outline in Memento Black Ink, and colored the wheels with a Basic Black Stampin’ Blend.

Merrily Trucking
After coloring, I used the Trucking Along Punch for cutting, which will be available the middle of October. (The latest update is October 9). The stamp set is available NOW, in Online Exclusives, and clicking on its picture in my Product List will take you there.
Next, I loaded a tree onto the truck by using a Reindeer Die to cut Garden Green Cardstock. Isn’t this tree cute? I snipped the tree in half to make it the perfect size.

The background was created with Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 3 1/2″, embossed with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder. Prior to embossing, I used a Gorgeously Made Die to cut the top and bottom edges.
Beneath the music is Joy Of Christmas Designer Paper, 5 1/4″ X 4″, glued to a Thick Basic White card base.

The sentiment, “Wishing you a festive Christmas,” is from the Trucking Along Stamp Set. I stamped it in Cherry Cobbler Ink, used a Gorgeously Made Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. Just had to add three Cherry Cobbler Enamel Dots from my retired stash.

When I saw the challenge at TGIF, I made an identical card using different colors.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE (copy and selectively edit) Wilma De Koate’s beautiful “birthday” card.
See how our designers “cased” Wilma, then join in the fun, and add your design to our gallery.

I began with A Granny Apple Green card base, exactly like Wilma, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then I layered it with Bubble Bath Cardstock, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, and embossed with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
The top layer is Basic White Cardstock, also cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, and placed on an angle as shown.

Translucent Leaves
Prior to gluing the layers, I used Bubble Bath Ink to stamp small flowers from the Translucent Florals Stamp Set. I also added black dots by “flicking” the brush end against the cap of a Basic Black Stampin’ Blend.
Next, I created with focal point by using Garden Green Ink to stamp leaves, also from the Translucent Florals Stamp Set, on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used its Translucent Floral Die for cutting. I cut a second branch of leaves from Vellum Basics, and added a bow of Bubble Bath Ribbon.

The sentiment, “thank you” is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Basic Black Cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool. The last step was cutting it with its Sentimental Silhouettes Die, and attaching it with Dimensionals.

Today’s card is a fun fold, shared by Peggy Noe, who showed how to make a variation of Susan Camfield’s “Flying Seagull” design.
Once I understood how to cut, score, and glue the card base together, I decorated it with Beary Christmas Designer Paper to make it my own.

Beary Christmas Fun Fold
The great thing about this design is that it only takes one piece of 8 1/2″ X 11″ cardstock to make the card base. And, when finished, it fits in our medium envelopes.

INSTRUCTIONS
In landscape position, cut 8 1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock at 5 1/2″.
Cut this 5 1/2″ X 11″ piece in half, giving you two 5 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ squares.
Score both squares at 2″, 3 1/2″, and 5″. Then, fold and burnish (Valley, Mountain, Valley).
Cut the 3″ X 11″ piece to 3″ X 5 1/2″, and a second piece 3″ X 3″. You’ll have a 3″ X 2 1/2″ piece left over.
Find the middle of the 3″ X 5 1/2″ piece (lengthwise) with a ruler, and using a pencil, mark three dots. Draw a straight line.
Add glue to the small, 1/2″ fold, and attach it along the pencil line. Do the same with the other half, making sure they meet tightly in the middle.
You can add the 3″ square, on an angle. during your decorating process.
I cut my designer paper 1/8″ smaller than the card base dimensions, giving the panels a 1/16″ border.
