Fresh As A Daisy Square Card

Would you like to make a square card that fits in our Medium Envelopes? It’s easy; the card base is 8 1/2″ X 4 1/4″, folded at 4 1/4″. Today’s card base is a new “In Color,” Moody Mauve. Doesn’t it look pretty with a new “Core Color,” Bubble Bath?

Daisy Square

The daisy pattern is from Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper, which I trimmed to 3 7/8″ X 3 7/8″. This sheet is unusual, because it has ten designs on one 12″ X 12″ sheet. It can be cut apart without ruining any of the designs, and there are two sheets in the pack.

Prior to gluing the daisy pattern to the card base, I gave it texture with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder.

The tiny “thanks” is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set. I stamped it in Moody Mauve Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, used its tiny, Wonderful Thoughts Die for cutting, and attached it with a tiny strip of Dimensionals.

To add some sparkle, I attached three, Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins.

Artistic Leaves and Stylish Shapes

The Artistic Dies are continuing to be a favorite, which I combined with Stylish Shapes Dies for today’s card.

I began by using an Artistic Die to cut the leaves from a pattern of Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper. This gives the leaves a “beautiful” variety of color, don’t you think?

By Su Mohr for FMS; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Stylish Shapes and Leaves

For the background, I used a Stylish Shapes Die to cut five holes in Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″, which I glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used the same die to cut five shapes from Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper in Azure Afternoon. Azure Afternoon is a new color, introduced during the “color refresh,” and isn’t it a pretty shade of blue? After cutting, I glued the blue shapes in the holes. Don’t you like the way this shows off the two rows of perforations?

I “eye-balled” the “ladder,” so it isn’t perfectly straight and centered, but close 🙂

Next, I glued the leaves along the stem, and base of the leaves, allowing the leaves to lift for dimension.

Prior to gluing the bottom “rung of the ladder,” I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink. “Hello” is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set. I included the bundle in my Product List below, because you really need the dies to go with this stamp set.

For one last detail, I added three 2022-2024 In Color Matte Dots in Parakeet Party.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Cheerful Daisies for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month, we have a Tic Tac Toe theme. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we love reading your comments. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I’m excited to show you my card, created with Cheerful Daisies, for Mother’s Day. I began by using four Cheerful Daisies Dies to cut Basic White Cardstock. Three flowers are attached, but could easily be snipped apart. Three separate dies were used to create the top layer of petals when glued together.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Cheerful Daisies, Wonderful Thoughts, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Hello Irresistible DSP; #cheerfuldaisies #wonderfulthoughts #deckledrectangles #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #sumpohr #stamping #stampinup #2023-2024annnualcatalog #thinkingofyoucards

Cheerful Daisies

Prior to gluing the petals, I colored the centers with a Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend, and the top petals with a Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. I also colored the leaves with a Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend. After gluing the flowers to the background, I lifted the top layer of petals for dimension.

The background is Hello Irresistible Designer Paper in a Soft Sea Foam pattern, cut with the third largest Deckled Rectangles Die. You’ll find this designer paper in Online Exclusives. I layered it on Basic White Cardstock, cut with the Largest Deckled Rectangles Die, and embossed with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder. The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 51/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Thinking of you” is from another new favorite from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog, the Wonderful Thoughts Bundle. The stamps have dies to make it look like the sentiments were fussy cut, and I love it! The similar set, Charming Sentiments, carried over, and now we have twice as many sentiments with die-cut borders.

I stamped the sentiment in Soft Sea Foam Ink, used its Wonderful Thoughts Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

For a little something extra, which fulfills the Tic Tac Toe requirement, I added three, Iridescent Pearls.

I used the third row down: Mother’s Day, Dry Embossing, and Pearls.

Thank you for visiting my blog. I appreciate you!

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are very excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on June 14th, when our theme will be showcasing the New 2023-2025 In Colors.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Raindrops and Flowers Sympathy Card

The Color & Contour Stamp Set has a trio of stylized flowers that I wanted to make the focal point of my “Rainy Days” sympathy card. I began by stamping the flowers in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used its Scalloped Contours Die for cutting.

After cutting, I used four colors of Stampin’ Blends for coloring the flowers: Petal Pink, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green. I was careful coloring, next to the black lines, to avoid smearing.

Raindrops and Flowers

For the background, I embossed Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper (4″ X 5 1/4″) with the Raindrops Embossing Folder. To make it sturdy for raising on Dimensionals, I backed it with cardstock. Then, I used a Deckled Rectangles Die (1 3/8″ X 2 3/4″) to cut a hole in the center. I used strips of Dimensionals from the “left-over” edges to give it a good lift on the Thick Basic White card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″).

Prior to embossing, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink.

“Here for you now…and in better days ahead” is from the Color & Contour Stamp Set.

Next, I attached the flowers with Dimensionals in the “open space,” and glued the tips to the rainy “sky.”

The final touch was adding three, 2023-2025 In Color Dots, in Boho Blue. The shiny dots are pretty in all five colors, which you can see in my Product List below.

I was inspired by The Paper Players.

Hello Ladybug and Tropical Leaf for Global Design Project 393

Welcome to Global Design Project! This week we have a fun, color challenge: Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, and Smoky Slate.

For some reason, I thought of a ladybug, because her body could be gray, rather than black, and her wings could be pink, rather than red. Plus, she could munch on leaves that were bluish green.

I began by using the Ladybug Builder Punch to cut the ladybug from Smoky Slate Cardstock. Her wings are from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set, which I stamped in Flirty Flamingo Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used the Ladybug Builder Punch for cutting. Then, I glued her wings at her neck, and raised them with Dimensionals.

The leaves were created with an “online exclusive” set, Tropical Leaf, also a stamp set with a punch.

Whimsical Ladybug

For the background, there is a layer of Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, given a border with the second largest Stitched Whimsy Die. This is an interesting die set, because it makes an impression in the paper, rather than cutting all the way through the paper.

“You can bug me any time” is from the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set. I stamped it in Smoky Slate Ink, used a Sending Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

The final touch was adding three white, Classic Matt Dots.

Daisy Love For You

Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper is so pretty, there isn’t much required to make an outstanding card. Today’s card began with a Boho Blue and Copper Clay pattern, two new colors, 5 1/4″ X 4″. This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I created a 3D flower to add some pizzazz. The stem was made by using a Cheerful Daisies Stamp to stamp Copper Clay Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used a Cheerful Daisies Die for cutting. The same die set was used to cut the flower from Basic White Cardstock, and the center from Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper in a Copper Clay pattern. The flower is from a die that has three attached flowers, which can be easily snipped apart.

Daisy Love

The sentiment is from the Love For You Die Set, cut from Basic White Cardstock. I used pin dots of Tombow Glue for attaching to the plaques.

The plaques for the sentiment were made with the same, Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper in Copper Clay, cut with two Stylish Shapes Dies. I added wood texture with the Timber Embossing Folder, and attached the “wooden” plaques with Dimensionals.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
