Sale-a-bration is going strong in its final month of the year. Ten FREE gifts were added for February, and you can see all of them listed below. For today’s card, I used one of the original offers, Adorable Owls, plus two of the new offerings, which I will indicate.
Hoot the Adorable Owl
I began by stamping Hoot, one of the Adorable Owls, in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After snipping Hoot free from the paper, I colored him with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, and Tahitian Tide for his eyes. Hoot asked for that color, because he said it was his favorite color of blue.
Next, I prepared his background by using a Blending Brush and Tahitian Tide Ink on Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″) to make a “blue moon” as he requested. I accomplished this by creating a stencil with the largest Layering Circles Die, and laying this cardstock on top of the cardstock I colored.
After coloring, I embossed the layer with the Into The Clouds Embossing Folder, because Hoot said he wanted “lots of sky.” Then, he asked for a Smoky Slate card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″) to match his feathers. He said I should point out that this embossing folder is now FREE during Sale-a-bration, but be sure to use the SAB number, 164423, because it differs from the catalog number.
The third Sale-a-bration item is the label Hoot chose for his perch. It’s from the Eden Die Set, which is combined with the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set in a Bundle, #163999. You can see the bundle below; what a great FREE gift!
I cut the label from Brights 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in Gorgeous Grape, which I topped with Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Potted Succulents Die. Hoot thought it fit nicely with “It’s your day!” from his Adorable Owls Stamp Set.
Hoot was proud of his tie, and said I could make it look really spiffy, if I “paper-pieced” it. He said to stamp his entire body on the Gorgeous Grape designer paper, and then fussy cut his tie, and attach it with tiny Dimensionals.
Now, Hoot can’t wait to show off his card!

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE (copy and selectively edit) Janneke de Jong’s beautiful card. See how our designers “cased” Janneke, then join in the fun, and add your design to our gallery.
I created my background exactly as Janneke’s design; aThick Basic White card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″), layered with Coastal Cabana Cardstock (5 1/4″ X 4″), layered with Basic White Cardstock (5 1/8″ X 3 7/8″). Once the layers were cut, I used a Blending Brush with Coastal Cabana Ink to add a bit of color to the top layer.
After gluing the layers, I stamped a ginkgo leaf from the Ginkgo Branch Stamp Set in four colors on Basic White Cardstock: Coastal Cabana, Flirty Flamingo, Smoky Slate, and Daffodil Delight. Then, I used its Ginkgo Branch Die for cutting.
Ginkgo Leaves
Next, I used a second Ginkgo Die to cut four leaves from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I snipped pieces from the die-cut leaves, and glued them to the colored leaves. The leaves were attached with Dimensionals at the top, and the stems were glued at the bottom.
The sentiment, “thinking of you,” is from the Ginkgo Branch Stamp Set. I stamped it in Coastal Cabana Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used its Ginkgo Branch Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
To complete my design, I added three, Self-Adhesive Pastel Sequins. Thank you for the CASE, Janneke!

I’m loving the combination of the Fancy Flora Designer Paper and the Ginkgo Branch Bundle.
I began today’s card by cutting a 2″ X 3 7/8″ piece from the 6″ X 6″ pattern of Fancy Flora Designer Paper. Then, I used a Ginkgo Die to cut the leaves from the same pattern, and backed both with Orchid Oasis Cardstock. The backing for the strip is 2 1/8″ X 4 1/8″, and I used the Ginkgo Die to cut the backing for the leaves.
Painted Texture
Next, I glued the strip to Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, and embossed the entire layer with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. Doesn’t it remind you of Monet’s water lilies?
After gluing the layer to the Orchid Oasis card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I glued the leaves in place.
The sentiment, “thinking of you,” is from the Ginkgo Branch Stamp Set. I stamped it on Fancy Flora Designer Paper in Orchid Oasis Ink, used a Ginkgo Branch Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. I made the sentiment label shorter by making two cuts, placing the die on top of the first cut.
For a little sparkle, I added three Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins, which is my Host Gift this month. See the details below.

Today’s card began with a sentiment that I love, and is from a stamp set that is a new, FREE, Sale-a-bration item. “My heart is tied to yours…tug if you need anything,” is from the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set, which comes in a Bundle with Dies, FREE for a qualifying order of $100. You can see all 10 of the new Sale-a-bration gifts below.
I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used two Stitched Rectangles Dies for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals.
Hearts Tied Together
I found appropriate images for the sentiment in the Brushed Shapes Die Set. The two hearts were cut with the heart die from 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper in Sweet Sorbet. I glued the perimeters flat, and raised the centers on Dimensionals. There’s a neat squiggle in the die set that “ties” the hearts together, cut from 2022-2024 In Color Designer Paper, which I layered on cardstock for thickness.
The background was created with Basic White Cardstock (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) glued to a Sweet Sorbet stripe from Country Floral Lane Designer Paper. After gluing, I used the largest Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting, and embossed it with the Gingham Embossing Folder. This way, the entire piece had stitching and embossing.This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The Fancy Flora Designer Paper is sensational, and all you need is a die-cut and sentiment for a quick & easy card. You can see all of the beautiful patterns by clicking on the picture in my Product List below.
For today’s card, I chose a pattern (4″ X 5 1/4″) to blend with a Soft Succulent card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″).
Ginkgo and Fancy Flora
Next, I cut ginkgo leaves from Evening Evergreen Cardstock, using a Ginkgo Branch Die, and glued it in place.
The sentiment, “sending hope and peace,” is from the Ginkgo Branch Stamp Set. I stamped it in Evening Evergreen Ink on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Then, I used its Ginkgo Branch Die for cutting, attached it with Dimensionals, and my quick & easy card was complete.

For the first day in February, I’m sharing a card appropriate for Valentine’s Day. Fancy Flora Designer Paper makes beautiful hearts, cut with the plain heart from the Heart Punch Pack. The scalloped heart from the Heart Punch Pack was used to frame the hearts with Basic White Cardstock.
Airborne Hearts
The background is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, embossed with the Into The Clouds Embossing Folder, and raised on Dimensionals. After embossing, I used a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue Ink for coloring the sky.

The sentiment, “sending love your way,” is from the Full Of Love Stamp Set, stamped in Starry Sky Ink, and cut with a Ginkgo Branch Die. After attaching the label with Dimensionals, I added five tiny hearts, cut from Basic White Cardstock with an Around The Bend Die.
