Favored Flowers Sneak Peek and FREE SHIPPING Announcement

Before I share this sneak peek, I have to let you know there will be FREE SHIPPING on Thursday, December 15…one day only! It’s a savings you don’t want to miss!

Today’s card is another sneak peek of Favored Flowers Designer Paper, because I couldn’t stop cutting the flowers with the Fragrant Flowers dies! I even cut all the half flowers along the sides. Once you try this, you’ll know what I mean. LOL

Raindrops Sympathy

To anchor the flowers, I used an Organic Beauty Die to cut a trellis from Basic Black Cardstock. Then, I snipped it to size.

Behind the trellis is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″ with a rectangle of Petal Pink. I created this by cutting a template with a Stitched Rectangles Die, and using a Blending Brush for coloring with Petal Pink Ink.

Prior to gluing the layer to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I embossed it with the Raindrop Embossing Folder. This folder is my Host Code Gift for the month of December, and it can work as tear drops on sympathy cards.

The sentiment, “with sympathy” is from the Ginkgo Branch Stamp Set, one of my favorites from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. Wait until you see this bundle! I stamped the words in Memento Black Ink, used a Potted Succulents Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Happy New Year for Global Design Project 373

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge. See how our designers used the colors, then join in the fun!

By Su Mohr for GDP 373; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Beauty Of Friendship Stamp Set, Brightest Glow Stamp Set, Grove Dies, Deckled Rectangles Dies; #happynewyearcards # #brightestglow #beautyoffriendship #grovedies #deer #treesoncards #colorcombos #gdp373 #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #stamping #stampinup #sumohr

Happy New Year

I began by using the largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut Basic White Cardstock.  Then, I used a Blending Brush to color the paper with Tahitian Tide Ink. After coloring the background, I stamped the tree from the Beauty Of Friendship Stamp Set, and the sentiment, in Bermuda Bay Ink. “Happy New Year” is from the Brightest Glow Stamp Set.

After stamping, I glued this layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The deer were cut from Blushing Bride Cardstock using Grove Dies. To add some texture and thickness, I cut the deer a second time from Awash In Beauty Designer Paper, and glued them together. I’ve heard that deer turn pink in the Winter. LOL

Baby deer was glued flat, while Mama deer’s feet were glued, but her body was attached with Dimensionals.

Some sparkle was added to the trees with my Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush, but it doesn’t show in the photos.

Sneak Peek 2023 Fragrant Flowers

Did you know that the 2023 January-April Mini Catalog is a time for Sale-a-bration? Sale-a-bration is only happening once this year, during January and February, so get ready!

We all love Stampin’ Up’s gorgeous designer paper, and Favored Flowers Designer Paper is one of the items you can earn for FREE. It coordinates with Fragrant Flowers stamps and dies, which adds to the fun, and it will all be available January 5, 2023.

The flowers on today’s card were cut with a Fragrant Flower Die from the Favored Flowers Designer Paper. The colors are so pretty, and really “pop” with the black outline.

SAB Favored Flowers

For the background, I cut a piece of Favored Flowers Designer Paper 3 1/8″ X 4 7/8″, and glued it to Evening Evergreen Cardstock, 3 1/4″ X 5″. This was attached, with Dimensionals, to a Fresh Freesia card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Thanks” is from the Fragrant Flowers Stamp Set, stamped in VersaMark on Fresh Freesia Cardstock. After sprinkling the sentiment with Gold Embossing Powder, and setting it with the Heat Tool, I used a Fragrant Flowers Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

After adding three Pastel Adhesive-backed Sequins, my first Sale-a-bration card was complete.

Warm Welcome By The Bay

Today’s card is a combination of several products from the new, January-April 2023 Mini Catalog. The Warm Welcome Bundle was an early release, and is available now for a 10% savings. The stamp set and dies can also be ordered separately, and are in my Product List below. The Night Of Navy Bordered Ribbon, and  By The Bay Designer Paper will be available January 5, 2023.

By Su Mohr; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Warm Welcome Stamp Set, Warm Welcome Dies, By The Bay DSP, Bordered Ribbon, Stitched Rectangles Dies; #warmwelcome #bythebay #shells #seashells #beachscenes #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #stamping #stampinup #sumohr #sneakpeeks #welcomecards

By The Bay Welcome

I began by using the largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut a beautiful, shell design of By The Bay Designer Paper. Then, I cut a 5 inch piece of ribbon, added a knot, and used Glue Dots to secure the ribbon. Prior to gluing the layer to the card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″), I attached the ribbon to to the back of the designer paper with Glue Dots.

Next, I stamped the door from the Warm Welcome Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink on a woodgrain design of By The Bay Designer Paper. Then, I used two Warm Welcome Dies for cutting the perimeter, and the interior of the door. The interior die was used a second time to cut a beach scene of By The Bay Designer Paper that I glued inside the door frame.

The welcome mat was created by stamping “welcome,” from the Warm Welcome Stamp Set, in Early Espresso Ink on By The Bay Designer Paper. After cutting with a Warm Welcome Die, I attached the welcome mat to the card front with Dimensionals, and my card was complete.

Seaside Bay Sneak Peek “Stepped Up”

Today’s card is a “stepped-up” version of yesterday’s sneak peek of Seaside Bay. It’s still clean & simple, but with some added detail.

I began with By The Bay Designer Paper, and cut a layer, 4 1/8″ X 5 3/8″, to glue to a Sahara Sand card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

By Su Mohr for FMS; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Seaside Bay Stamp Set, By The Bay DSP, Faux Sea Glass, Into The Clouds Embossing Folder; #bythebay #seasidebay #intotheclouds #seaglass #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #jan-april2023catalog #stamping #stampinup #sumohr

“stepped-up” Seaside Bay

Next, I cut a second design of By The Bay Designer Paper, 3″ X 5 3/8″, and gave texture to the top half with the Into The Clouds Embossing Folder.

Prior to gluing this second layer to the middle of the card front, I stamped the three Sanderlings birds in Early Espresso Ink. The birds are from the Seaside Bay Stamp Set. Aren’t they cute?

The sentiment is also from the Seaside Bay Stamp Set, stamped in Night Of Navy Ink, cut with a Meadow Die, and attached with Dimensionals.

For additional detail, I embellished with Faux Sea Glass, always a special find along the seashore.

Click on yesterday’s #simplestamping card for more details about this new set coming January 5, 2023.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Seaside Bay Sneak Peek #simplestamping

I was excited to receive the Seaside Bay Bundle in my pre-order, and wanted you to see how great it is for #simplestamping. That means, with just stamps, ink, and paper, you can create this sympathy card in a jiffy.

By Su Mohr for #simplestamping; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Seaside Bay #simplestamping

The 6″ X 6″ By The Bay Designer Paper is gorgeous, and you get 48 sheets: 4 each of 12 double-sided designs.

For today’s card I cut one of the designs, 5 1/4″ X 4″, and glued it to a Sahara Sand card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at  4 1/4″.

I simply stamped the Sanderling birds, in Espresso Ink, right on the By The Bay Designer Paper. The birds are together on one stamp, which makes it even easier!

This was followed by stamping the sand in Crumb Cake Ink, and “heartfelt sympathy” in Night Of Navy Ink. I used a Stamparatus to insure my stamping was as dark as I wanted, and that’s all there was to it!

For more advanced card making, the Seaside Bay Bundle includes Seaside Bay Dies. There are 16 dies in the set, and some of them cut images from the designer paper. How fun!

Ordering begins January 5, 2023, and if you are one of my faithful customers, I ordered a catalog for you that Stampin’ Up! will be sending during the next few weeks. Until then, enjoy my sneak peeks, and shop “Last Chance” and “clearance.”
