The Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper is so pretty; it can be used to make Christmas cards in a jiffy. You can see all of the patterns by clicking on its picture in my Product List below.
I began today’s card with an Evening Evergreen card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. It was layered with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper, cut 1/8″ smaller, giving it a 1/16″ white border. Then, I cut a horizontal piece of Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper, 4″ X 2″, and glued it in place.

Joy & Peace
The sentiment took a little extra time, because I decided to heat emboss it. “Joy & Peace” is from the Leaves Of Holly Stamp Set, stamped in VersaMark on Evening Evergreen Cardstock. Then, I sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder. After it was set with the Heat Tool, I used the second smallest, square, Stylish Shapes Die for cutting. Lastly, I glued the square sentiment to a Wonderful Snowflake, and attached it with Dimensionals.
The snowflakes have an iridescent shine, which isn’t showing in the photo, come 24 in a pack, and very handy to use.

For the final touch, I added three Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels, mimicking the red dots in the Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper. The white pearls were made red by coloring them with a Real Red Stampin’ Blend.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Today’s card is “clean & simple,” using the Full Of Love Stamp Set. I began by stamping the envelope full of flowers in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and using my Paper Snips for cutting.

Flower-filled Envelope
After cutting, I colored the bouquet with three colors of Stampin’ Blends: Pumpkin Pie, Highland Heather, and Granny Apple Green. Then, I placed the flower-filled envelope on Dimensionals.

The background is Basic White Cardstock (5 1/4″ X 4″) stamped across the middle with Memento Black Ink. I found the detailed pattern in the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set, and used my Stamparatus for placement. While the layer was in the Stamparatus, I stamped the sentiment, also in Memento Black Ink. “Always grateful for you” is one of three sentiments in the Full Of Love Stamp Set. You can see the entire set in my Product List below.
After gluing the layer to a Gorgeous Grape card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, my “clean & simple” card was complete.

I was inspired by The Paper Players.

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month, the theme is a Color Challenge.

Using Crumb Cake, Mango Melody, Cajun Craze and Mossy Meadow, the Design Team has created some great projects that you will all want to see. We hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I was playing with the Happy Forest Friends Designer Paper over the weekend, when Brown Bear, Red Fox, and Golden Owl said it was about time I used the stamps!

Forest Friends
My forest friends heard that the Pals Blog Hop was a color challenge, and thought they were the perfect colors. Brown Bear said to stamp him in Crumb Cake Ink, Red Fox said Cajun Craze, of course, and Golden Owl claimed Mango Melody.

After using their stamps from the Happier Than Happy Stamp Set, they asked me to cut them free from the Basic White Cardstock using their Happy Forest Dies. Plus, Golden Owl said she needed a perch, so I stamped a tree stump in Crumb Cake Ink, and used its die for cutting. This made her very happy.

The fourth color in the challenge was Mossy Meadow, and just right for a forest background. First, I cut Basic White Cardstock with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, and embossed it with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder. Then, I used a Blending Brush and Mossy Meadow Ink for coloring. This layer was glued to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The forest friends were delighted that I made them feel at home.

Brown Bear said he wanted to welcome everyone to their forest! For the sentiment, he said I should stamp “welcome” from their stamp set in Mossy Meadow Ink, and use a Happy Forest Die for cutting. He even suggested I tie it to his paw with Linen Thread, which I thought was a great idea.
Suddenly, Golden Owl said their card needed one more thing. She flew off, and came back with a Fine Sparkle Gem, which she placed on the welcome tag. She declared the card was complete, now that a gem matched her beautiful Mango Melody feathers.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on November 9th when the theme will be Home for the Holidays.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

I happen to know that gnomes love gardens in the Fall. Today’s card began by embossing Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4,” with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder. After embossing, I used a Blending Brush to apply a gorgeous, Fall color, Crushed Curry. This layer was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Fall Gnome
Next, it was time for the gnome to appear. I used Gnome Dies to cut his Basic White beard, Basic Black pants and shoes, Gingham Cottage Designer Paper hat in Pumpkin Pie, and his nose, colored with an Ivory Stampin’ Blend. I glued the four pieces together with a tiny amount of glue, and attached him with Dimensionals.

The gnome wanted to say a big “HELLO,” which I found in the Hello Harvest Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, used a Harvest Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. The gnome didn’t mind that I added a Gingham Ribbon bow to his hat, because it matched his outfit. Also, I made it thinner by cutting the ribbon in half, which he thought was important.

I was inspired by TGIF.

This week’s Global Design Project is to CASE Madeleine Mrotzek and her inspiring card. I love her slimline design and bright colors. Won’t you join in the fun, and hang your design in our gallery?

The slimline design was easily accomplished with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 7″, folded at 3 1/2″. Then I added a layer of Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/4″ X 3 1/4″.
Next, using a Happy Forrest Die, I cut trees from five colors of Cardstock: Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, and Flirty Flamingo.

“Oh, Christmas tree”
After cutting the trees, I used a Trees For Sale stamp to stamp trees in the same ink colors across the white layer. Before gluing the die-cut trees next to the stamped trees, I flicked a Black Stampin’ Blend brush against the lid to add a spray of dots.

The sentiment, “Christmas Greetings,” is from the Trees For Sale Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, fussy cut, and attached it with Dimensionals. The last detail was stamping stars from the Trees For Sale Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink.

The Full Of Love Stamp Set has wonderful images of flowers and envelopes. This is a perfect set for card makers, because we love sending cards in envelopes! Because it’s Fall, for today’s card, I used Stampin’ Blends to color the bouquet in Fall colors: Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight. If you look closely, you’ll see some white spaces, which was intentional. Sometimes it’s nice to give “breathing space.”
After coloring the image on Basic White Cardstock, I used the largest, plain, Layering Circles Die for cutting. Then, I used the largest, scalloped, Layering Circles Die to cut Basic Black Cardstock, glued the two together, and placed it on Dimensionals.

Full Of Love
Next, I cut a piece of Vellum Layering Designs, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and glued it to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This vellum has white script, for a subtle tie-in with the envelope.
The strip behind the circle is Cottage Gingham Designer Paper, 4″ X 2 1/4″.

The sentiment is from the Full Of Love Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used a Sending Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
Finally, I stamped a single flower, which I fussy cut, colored it with Stampin’ Blends, and attached it with a Dimensional.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
