The Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper has beautiful poinsettias, which are fun to cut, once you get the hang of it. Stampin’ Up’s Paper Snips are the perfect tool for the job, and remember to move the paper, not the scissors.

Poinsettia Pines
The background for the poinsettias was created with two, large, Christmas Pinecone Dies. The bottom, thicker, layer was cut from Garden Green Cardstock, and the top, delicate, layer was cut from Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper in darker green. After cutting, I glued the pine layers to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I stamped the sentiment in Real Red Ink, used a Potted Succulents Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals. “Merry Christmas” is from the Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set, and I love the small size and font.
After positioning the poinsettias, I attached them with Dimensionals, making sure they covered the sentiment label just a bit.

I’m entering TGIF’s challenge this week, “cut it out!”

To make the most of this experience, you can order the Cottage Rose Bundle from the 2022–2023 Annual Catalog, the Cottage Wreaths Bundle from the July–December 2022 Mini Catalog, or the Warm Welcome Bundle, which you can get early from the January–June 2023 Mini Catalog! If you want, you could even order all three bundles!
When you order one of these three bundles: Cottage Rose Bundle, Cottage Wreaths Bundle or Warm Welcome Bundle you’ll get a FREE gift of Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels!
You can still attend this event without ordering the bundles, but it will be a lot more fun to craft together if you have one or more bundles!
For today’s card, I was excited to use the Cottage Wreaths Bundle, and stamped a wreath of leaves in Garden Green Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I stamped a second wreath of stems on top of it in Early Espresso Ink.
After stamping, I used a Cottage Wreath Die to cut the wreath, and another die in the set to cut the bow from Gingham Cottage Designer Paper. Doesn’t the Real Red plaid make a pretty bow?

Christmas Wreath
Beneath the wreath is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the fourth largest Deckled Rectangles Die. After cutting, I embossed it with the Merry Melody Embossing Folder, and placed it on Dimensionals.
For a different color combination, I added a layer of Early Espresso 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, to the Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “Christmas Greetings,” is from the Trees For Sale Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, and fussy cut. I attached the wreath and sentiment with Dimensionals, and my card was complete.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

When I saw the Fusion sketch, I knew I wanted to include a fancy edge, cut with an Eden Die. This is a fabulous die set that I’ve used many times, and it’s one of the Weekly Deals right now, but the discounted offer ends tomorrow, Thursday the 22nd. You can see the entire set in my Product List below, and clicking on it will take you to my store for ordering.
I used this die by lining it on the edge of Gingham Cottage Designer Paper, 2″ X 5 1/2″, and rolling it through my Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine.

Brick wall and poinsettias
After die-cutting, I glued this piece to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, the card base was embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder.

Next, I fussy cut the poinsettias from Boughs Of Holly Designer Paper, and attached it with Dimensionals.
Merry Christmas is from the Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set, stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I made two cuts with the smallest Deckled Rectangles Die to make the label the desired size, and attached it with Dimensionals.

I was inspired by Fusion.

My second Painted Pheasant card is showing off colors that I found in a photo: Soft Suede, Mango Melody, Early Espresso, Orchid Oasis, Cinnamon Cider, plus, a Real Red Stampin’ Blend. The markers come in color collections that you can see in my Product List below.

“A pleasant little note”
Isn’t he pretty?

To color the pheasant, I used the same “ink to stamp” technique as the first card, which is painting the stamp with the Stampin’ Write Markers, using the Stamparatus. The Stamparatus holds the Basic White Cardstock in place, while coloring the stamp on the lid of the Stamparatus, and lowering it to stamp the paper, one color at a time.
The Basic White Cardstock is 5 1/4″ X 4″, which I glued to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I stamped the pheasant’s habitat in Crumb Cake Ink with an image from the Painted Pheasant Stamp Set. I also cut a strip of grass from Crumb Cake Cardstock, using a Playful Piggy Die, and glued it along the bottom.

If you like “play on words,” you’ll enjoy this sentiment, “A pleasant little note.” Cute, huh? I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink, and used a Potted Succulents Die for cutting.
After attaching the sentiment with Dimensionals, I added a bow of Linen Thread on a Glue Dot.

I was inspired by TGIF.

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using Parakeet Party, Shaded Spruce, and Flirty Flamingo.

In the Round
My design began with a large, pink, circle. First, I cut two pieces of Basic White Cardstock, 41/4″ X 5 1/2″, making a template with one by using the largest Layering Circles Die to cut a hole. Masking Tape was applied to hold the two in place, while using a Blending Brush with Flirty Flamingo Ink.
It’s fun removing the template to see a perfectly inked circle!

Next, I stamped the leaf image from the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set in Parakeet Party Ink and Shaded Spruce Ink. on Basic White Cardstock. After fussy cutting the leaves, I had the idea to cut the top portion of the leaves with the Layering Circles Die, to make them fit within the circle.
Once the leaves were positioned in the circle, I used the Stamparatus to place the seedlings, which I stamped three times in Flirty Flamingo.

To add a bit more detail, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting a border around my design, and attached it with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The sentiment is from the Soft Seedlings Stamp Set, stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink, and cut with a Deckled Rectangles Die. I used the 2 3/4″ X 4″ die, making two cuts for the desired size.

After being inspired by our designers, please get creative with this color combination, and hang your design in our gallery

I’m also sharing with The Paper Players.

Today’s card is a “stepped up” version of Saturday’s card, which was Amazing Thanks for casual crafters. This version is for avid crafters, which calls for additional supplies, and is even more challenging. My supplies are in the Product List below.
I began by stamping the same three colors (Mango Melody, Parakeet Party, Flirty Flamingo), across Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die. The inking was done with the same splotch stamp from Perched In A Tree, as the first and second cards.

Avid Crafter
After stamping, I used the smallest, square, Stylish Shapes Die to cut three holes across the layer. Then, I attached the layer with LOTS of Dimensionals on a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I stamped the splotch a second time, and used a Country Wreaths die to cut a bow from each color, and glued the bows with their corresponding squares.

The sentiment, “warmest wishes,” from the Through It Together Stamp Set, was stamped in Memento Black Ink, cut with a Stylish Shapes Die, and glued in place. The last detail was adding three Fine Sparkle Gems.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
