Today’s card is a “stepped up” version of Thursday’s card, which was #simplestamping for beginning crafters. Casual crafters would need additional supplies, and find this a bit more challenging. My Supplies are in the Product List below.
I began by stamping the same three colors on an angle (Mango Melody, Parakeet Party, Flirty Flamingo), across Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. And, I used two of the same stamps as the first card, the splotch from Perched In A Tree, and the blossom from Apple Harvest.

Casual Crafters
After stamping, I used Amazing Thanks Dies to cut “you are amazing” from the stamped design. I used the “thicker” die, the bubble, to cut the holes, as well as the cardstock in colors to match the ink. Then, I glued this layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I cut the words from Basic White Cardstock, glued them to the bubbles, and glued “you are amazing” in the holes.

Lastly, I added three Iridescent Rhinestone Jewels on my “stepped up” card for the casual crafter. Come back tomorrow to see my “stepped up” card for avid crafters.

This is Thursday’s #simplestamping card for beginners, and clicking on it will take you to the original blog post.

Now, for today’s #simplestamping card for a beginning crafter. The images in the Perched In A Tree Stamp Set are perfect for #simplestamping. Just pick three colors of ink you like together, and the splotch and dots images from the stamp set.

I chose Mango Melody, Parakeet Party, and Flirty Flamingo, and stamped across Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. I alternated full strength ink and “stamped off” ink with the splotch stamp. Then, I repeated this with the dot stamp, cleaning the stamps between colors with the shammy, which is great for quick cleaning
After the splotch and dots, I added a few blossoms from the Apple Harvest Stamp Set in the three colors.
The sentiment, “your kindness warms my heart,” is from the Perched In A TreeStamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink. I matched the sentiment to a Basic Black card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, which makes the colors pop. Don’t you think?
I will “step-it-up” with this card for the casual crafter on Saturday, and “step-it-up” for the avid crafter on Sunday. Subscribe to my blog, so you won’t miss them.

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is Focus on the Sentiment. Our Design Team are showcasing a sentiment as the focal point of their project. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals share with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
This little girl was given the endearing nickname of “Pumpkin,” and wanted to be dressed as a pumpkin for Halloween.
Looking through my Stampin’ Up! supplies, she said we had everything we needed! Most importantly, Pumpkin wanted to say “boo!,” which she said I could create with the Alphabest Bundle.
I stamped the letters “b-o-o,” and the exclamation point, in Orchid Oasis Ink, and Pumpkin used the Best Label Punch for cutting. She said punching was her favorite thing to do.

Pumpkin’s Halloween Card
For the background, Pumpkin chose Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″), cut with a Split Card Textures Die, because she thought it looked like spider webs. And, she wanted me to stamp the scary spider, from her Bewitching Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink. She loved that the tiny dots matched the frame around the Alphabest letters.
There was no question about the card base (8 1/2″ X 51 /2″, folded at 4 1/4″), because black would be the best for Halloween.

Last, but not least, we made Pumpkin’s costume. Her shoes and socks were stamped in Memento Black Ink on the card front, and colored with Pumpkin Pie and Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blends. She made sure her socks matched the sentiment, and held really still, so I wouldn’t go outside the lines.
The pumpkin is from the Hello Harvest Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Rustic Pumpkin Die. After coloring with Pumpkin Pie and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends, I put it over Pumpkin’s head, attaching it with Dimensionals.

Pumpkin is quite pleased with her costume, and can’t wait for everyone at the Pals Blog Hop to see it!
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on October 12th when our theme will be a color challenge!
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

The pheasant is a near relative of the turkey, and here he is on a Thanksgiving card. He enjoys saying, “Happy Thanksgiving,” and is extremely thankful he isn’t a turkey! He is from the Painted Pheasant Stamp Set, along with the sentiment, colored with an array of Stampin’ Write Markers: Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, Petal Pink, and Daffodil Delight. The markers come in color collections that you can see in my Product List below.

To color the pheasant, I used the “ink to stamp” technique, which is painting the stamp with the Stampin’ Write Markers. The Stamparatus holds the Basic White Cardstock in place, while coloring the stamp on the lid of the Stamparatus, and lowering it to stamp the paper, one color at a time.
After coloring, I used the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting, and brushed the edge with a Sponge Dauber and Old Olive Ink. I layered this on Old Olive Cardstock, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die, which was layered on a Blackberry Bliss card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The pheasant is standing on dots created with a Perched In A Tree stamp and Daffodil Delight Ink.

I stamped “Happy Thanksgiving” in Blackberry Bliss Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and made two cuts with the smallest Deckled Rectangles Die to get the desired size. Then, I made a frame for the sentiment, using the smallest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut from Pool Party Cardstock, and attached it with Dimensionals.
The envelope flap is decorated with another Painted Pheasant stamp, which I stamped five times in Old Olive Ink.

I was inspired by The Paper Players.

This week’s Global Design Project is to CASE Wilma De Korte, and her inspiring Fall card. I love her clean & simple design, and I incorporated the same Fall colors. Won’t you join in the fun, and hang your design in our gallery?

To begin, I used an Aspen Trees Die to cut two leaves from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used Sponge Daubers to color the leaves with Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze Ink, and placed them on Dimensionals.

Fall leaves
For the background, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, and embossed it with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder. Isn’t this embossing folder perfect for Fall cards?

After embossing, I stamped splotches and dots in Crumb Cale Ink with stamps from the Perched In a Tree Stamp Set.
“Wishing you abundant joy & peace, ” was stamped in Early Espresso Ink, also from the Perched In A Tree Stamp Set.
Once the stamping was complete, I glued the layer to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The last detail was adding three Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems.

The Splendid Thoughts Bundle has been a favorite, since its early release. I combined it with the Spots & Dots Die for today’s card.
I began with Splendid Day Designer Paper (3 1/4″ X 3 1/2″) cut with the Dots & Spots Die. Then, I used the Stitched Greenery Die with Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 4″. Next, I cut Pool Party cardstock, 1 3/4″ X 4″, and glued the three pieces to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Splendid Thoughts with Dots
Prior to gluing the Spot & Dots, I cut plants with the Splendid Stems Dies, and let them grow through the holes. For the plants, I used the foil side of Splendid Day Designer Paper, Pool Party Cardstock, and Soft Sea Foam Cardstock.

The sentiment, “Today is a day to remember,” is from the Splendid Thoughts Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Basic White Cardstock, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, set it with the Heat Tool, and used a Stylish Shapes Die for cutting.

For a touch more gold, I added a few tiny, gold, For Everything Fancy Sequins.

I was inspired by TGIF.
