Hello Harvest Pumpkin Card

If you like pumpkins, you have to like the Hello Harvest Bundle! I stamped today’s pumpkin in Early Espresso Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used its Rustic Pumpkin Die for cutting. The flowers were stamped and cut the same way.

Loveliest Day Pumpkin

After stamping and cutting, I colored the pumpkin and flowers with Stampin’ Blends in four colors: Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Soft Suede.

Next, I rounded the pumpkin with my fingers, attached it with Dimensionals in the middle, and glued the bottom. The flowers were attached with Dimensionals, and I added a curlicue to the single flower, cut from Old Olive Cardstock.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die. This is layered on Gingham Cottage Designer Paper, cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die, which is layered on a Sahara Sand card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The Hello Harvest Stamp Set has an outstanding sentiment on a banner, “Wishing you the loveliest Day.” I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink on Splendid Day Designer Paper, and used its Rustic Pumpkin Die for cutting.  Then, I placed it on Dimensionals, over the rounded pumpkin, and glued the ends.

If you missed my previous slimline card, here’s a look at the cute pumpkins that are die-cut without the use of a stamp. Clicking on it will take you to the original blog post.

Christmas Trees Background

The Trees For Sale Stamp Set has wonderful “two-step” trees in three sizes. The largest stamp was used (without the two-step stamp) to create the background on today’s card. “Two-step” means there are two stamps, where one is stamped on top of the other to complete the image.

To create the pattern, I stamped rows of trees in Shaded Spruce Ink, “stamping-off” every other row, across Basic White Cardstock. “Stamping-off” means inking the stamp, and stamping on scratch paper before stamping on your project, giving a lighter shade.

After stamping the trees, I used the second largest, Deckled Rectangles Die, for cutting. Then, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Die to give it a frame of Real Red Cardstock. The two layers were glued to a Shaded Spruce card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The focal point was created with the second smallest Deckled Rectangles Die, cutting a rectangle of Shaded Spruce Cardstock and Painted Christmas Designer Paper. The two rectangles were glued together, and attached with Dimensionals.

Christmas tree background

The sentiment, “Christmas Greetings” is from the Trees For sale Stamp Set, stamped in Real Red Ink, and cut with the third smallest Deckled Rectangles Die. I used two cuts to make the label the desired size, and attached it with Dimensionals.

For a touch of sparkle, I attached a few Iridescent Rhinestones.

Even if you weren’t lucky enough to get the Tree Lot Dies that coordinate with this stamp set, the Trees For Sale Stamp Set is great for holiday cards.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Pinwheel Flower with Instructions

It’s been a while since I made a pinwheel, but it’s lots of fun, so follow along to see how I did it.

First, I cut two strips of Sun Prints Designer Paper, 1/2″ X 12″. Second, using my Paper Trimmer, I scored the strips every 1/2″; then, folded them on the score lines, like an accordion, and glued the ends together, making a circle.

Now comes the tricky part, because you need to fold it on its side to form the pinwheel, then glue it to a round circle to hold it together. I prepared this circle with cardstock, cut with the smallest Layering Circles Die, and covered it with Liquid Glue. If you need visualization, you can search for a You Tube video.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die. This size fits perfectly within Sun Prints Designer Paper, cut with the largest Scalloped Contours Die. The two layers were glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I stamped the stem and leaves, from the Art Gallery Stamp Set, in Night of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After cutting with a Floral Gallery Die, I layered it for thickness, and glued it in place.

The center of the pinwheel flower was cut with a Poppy Moments Die from So Saffron Cardstock, and attached with a Glue Dot.

The butterfly is from the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set, stamped in So Saffron Ink, cut with its Daffodil Die, and attached with a Dimensional.

The sentiment, “sending you this paper hug,” is from the Through It Together Stamp Set. I stamped it in Night Of Navy Ink, used the smallest, scalloped Layering Circles Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals with the butterfly.

Little Red Wagon Birthday Card

I began today’s card with the idea of using all five of the 2022-2024 In Colors with the  exclusive Playful Piggy Dies. Even if you don’t love pigs, you’ll love these dies!

The Playful Piggy Dies are part of the Perfect Partners Promotion, exclusive dies not shown in the catalogs, that coordinate with current stamp sets. They are all listed below, with links to my store for ordering.

By Su Mohr for TGIF; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Playful Piggy Dies, Deckled Rectangles Dies, Dots & Spots Die; #playfulpiggydies #thisbirthdaypiggy #dotsandspots #wagonsoncards #birthdaycards #2022-2024incolors #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #stamping #stampinup #birdsoncards

Little Red Wagon

To begin, I used Playful Piggy Dies to cut the wagon from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock, the grass from Parakeet Party Cardstock, the flags from Basic White Cardstock, and the birds from Tahitian Tide Cardstock, Starry Sky Cardstock, and Orchid Oasis Cardstock.

No matter what colors you use, they all seem to look good against white. So, I used a card base of Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. Prior to gluing the layer to the card base, I used the Dots & Spots Die to give it a fun texture.

Next, I glued the grass to Basic White Cardstock that was cut with a Deckled Rectangles Die, 4 1/4″ X 3″. Then, I attached the Sweet Sorbet wagon with Dimensionals, and glued the Basic White Cardstock cloud, that was cut with a Waves Die.

“It’s your birthday” is from This Birthday Piggy Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Playful Piggy Die. After attaching the sentiment and flags with Dimensionals, and gluing the birds, I attached the Deckled Rectangle with Dimensionals in the middle of the card front.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Apple Harvest for Global Design Project 359

This week’s Global Design Project is a theme challenge, Autumn/Fall. What a perfect time to show you the Apple Harvest Stamp Set with its new, exclusive, Apple Blossoms Dies! And the great news is, you can order it right now! You’ll find all six of the stamp sets with exclusive dies listed below; the “Perfect Partners” promotion.

I began by stamping the branch of apples and leaves in Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock. Then, I used its Apple Blossoms Die for cutting, and colored with  Stampin’ Up Watercolor pencils. I colored in a small circular motion, without water, using Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Cherry Cobbler, and Early Espresso.

By Su Mohr for GDP 359; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Apple Harvest Stamp Set, Apple Blossoms Dies, Amazing Thanks Dies, Split Card Textures Dies, Watercolor Pencils; #appleblossoms #appleharvest #applesoncards #perfectpartners #amazingthanks #thankyoucards #fruitoncards #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #watercolorpencils #stamping #stampinup #sumohr

Apple Harvest Thanks

The background was created with a Split Card Textures Die and Crumb Cake Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. This was glued to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Thanks” was cut with two Amazing Thanks Dies; the bubble was cut from Early Espresso Cardstock, and the word was cut from Crumb Cake Cardstock. After gluing “thanks” flat, I raised the branch of apples on Dimensionals, and my Apple Harvest card was complete.

Summer Shadows Dies for Deals of the Week

Have you heard about Stampin’ Up’s September Weekly Deals?

As soon as I saw the “Weekly Deals,” I was excited to show you three of the items on today’s card.

I started by using Summer Shadows Dies to cut from Splendid Day Designer Paper; both the paper and dies are “Weekly Deals” at a reduced price. The paper is “specialty” designer paper, because half the pack is patterned foil. My last picture shows off the sheen.

Don’t delay ordering, because the special price ends Sept 7, or when they sell out.

By Su Mohr for FMS; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Summer Shadows Special Deal

The background for the flower and leaves is Splendid Day DSP also, cut with the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die. After attaching a strand of Linen Thread to the back of the DSP, I glued it to a Sahara Sand card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I stamped “Love you, friend” in Crumb Cake Ink on Splendid Day DSP, and used a Deckled Rectangles Die for cutting. I used two cuts with the 3 1/4″ X 1 3/4″ die to make it the desired size, and attached it with Dimensionals. The sentiment is from the coordinating stamp set, Shaded Summer.

After attaching the flower and leaves with Diemnsionals, I added a bow of Linen Thread with a Glue Dot. The final touch was one of the Brushed Brass Butterflies, the third “Weekly Deal.” The butterflies are flat, self-adhesive, and mail friendly.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
