Here I go again with my favorite suite, Awash In Beauty! Don’t you love the watercolored look? This time, a thank you card, with a card sketch as inspiration.
The card base is Balmy Blue Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Awash In Beauty Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. The next layer is Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 3 1/2″, with the angles cut by hand to mimic the card sketch. After cutting, I embossed it with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder.
Awash In Beauty “Thank You”
Here is the sketch:
The floral arrangement was created with Awash In Beauty Designer Paper that I cut with Organic Beauty Dies. It’s so much fun when Stampin’ Up! gives us dies that cut images from the designer paper!
The sentiment, “thank you,” is from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set. I stamped it in Stazon Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and used a Sending Die for cutting.
After attaching the sentiment and floral arrangement with Dimensionals, I added three Iridescent Pearls.

The focal point of todays card is a palm tree created with a rainbow of color. I painted horizontal stripes of color with Stampin’ Blends, on Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″) in this order: Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis, and Starry Sky. Light and dark of each color was used, blending one color to the next.
The grass is a blend of Parakeet Party and Tahitian Tide, and the sun was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink. Then, I used the Palms Dies for cutting the palm tree, grass and sun.
A Little Paradise
The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, layered with Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die. This is topped with Vellum Layering Designs, cut with the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die. The third largest Deckled Rectangles Die was used to cut the top layer of Basic White Cardstock, which is raised on Dimensionals.
Prior to attaching the top layer, I stamped the sentiment in Stazon Black Ink, using my Stamparatus for placement. “Hope you find a little paradise wherever you may be” is from the Paradise Palms Stamp Set.
The grass, sun, and trunk of the palm tree are glued flat, and the palm fronts are raised on a Dimensional.
I added a blue Glossy Dot, as a final touch.

Today’s project began with a card sketch challenge, and developed into a thank you card. I was delighted to see how the Sending Smiles flowers fit the sketch.
Note of thanks
Here is the sketch by the Paper Players.
The flowers, stems and leaves, are from the Sending Smiles Stamp Set, stamped in three colors of ink: Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, Pale Papaya, and Parakeet Party. The sentiment, “a note of thanks,” is also from the stamp set, stamped in Starry Sky Ink. All were cut with Sending Dies, and I added Iridescent Pearls to the centers of the flowers.
For the background, the top third of the card is Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 2 1/4″, embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder.
Next is a 5 1/4″ X 1″ strip of Sun Prints Designer Paper, which highlights the “notebook” edge created with a Blossoming Happiness Die. To complete the sketch, there is a Sun Prints stripe, 5 1/4″ X 1 1/4″.

The new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog has gorgeous flowers, and, yes, some are pink, like the one on our cover! Today’s card is featuring my favorite suite, Awash In Beauty.
I love the watercolored look of the images in the suite, and this flower, leaves and stem, were cut from the Awash In Beauty Designer Paper, using Organic Beauty Dies. How easy is that!
Framed Pink Rose
I decided to frame my flower with fabulous, Awash In Beauty Designer Paper, using the largest and fourth largest Stitched Rectangles Die. To make it sturdy, I used the largest and third largest Stitched Rectangles Dies for backing, cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock.
Next, I added a trellis, cut with an Organic Beauty Die, from Vellum Cardstock. Once the trellis was glued to the frame, I attached the frame to the Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, with Foam Adhesive Strips.
The sentiment, “you are a true friend,” is from the True Beauty Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, used a Harvest Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
Three of the beautiful Iridescent Pearls were added, which are also part of the suite, along with a sprig cut from Vellum.

Welcome to the Pals Fun Folds Blog Hop! We hope you enjoy the inspiration we have for you. You will find the lineup to the other great fun fold stampers at the bottom of my post.
I consider shaker cards “fun fold” cards, because they have something extra special going on. In this case, the Vintage Bottle Shaker Domes made accomplishing this very easy.
Shaker Bottle “just for you”
I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The largest Stitched Rectangles Die was used for cutting the layer of Awash In Beauty Designer Paper. This paper is gorgeous, and you can see all of the patterns by clicking on the picture in my Product List below.
Next, I used the fourth largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, preparing for some “two-step” stamping. The bouquet is from the Bottled Happiness Stamp Set, which has two stamps to make the bouquet. First, I placed the white rectangle on the platform of the Stamparatus. Second, I positioned the flower stamp on the rectangle, then picked it up with the lid of the Stamparatus. Third, I inked the stamp with Blushing Bride Ink, and lowered the lid, pressing the ink onto the rectangle, which was held in place by a magnet. Fourth, I positioned the leaf stamp on top of the stamped flowers, and repeated the process with Pear Pizzazz Ink.
The sentiment is from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set, cut with its Sentiment Silhouettes Die, and attached with Dimensionals. I stamped “just for you” in VersaMark on Thick Basic White Cardstock, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE Charlet Mallett, and I love her color combination of green and purple. Isn’t her card beautiful?
Since green and purple are perfect colors for wisteria, I wanted to use the Wisteria Wishes Stamp Set.
First, I cut Basic White Cardstock 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ and used a Blending Brush to lightly color it with Pear Pizzazz Ink. To continue with Charlet’s idea, I used the largest Scalloped Contours Die for the border.

Next, I placed this colored cardstock in the Stamparatus, and stamped the leaves and vine in Old Olive Ink. Then, I stamped the hanging flowers in Highland Heather Ink, followed by the darker, Gorgeous Grape Ink. This is called “two-step” stamping, which adds nice dimension, and why the Stamparatus comes in especially handy for placement.
I glued my layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The sentiment, “happiness grows within,” is from the Wisteria Wishes Stamp Set. I stamped it in Old Olive Ink on Basic White cardstock, and used the Double Oval Punch for cutting. I glued this to a scalloped oval that was cut with the same punch, and attached it with Dimensionals.
My card was complete, after adding three, Brushed Brass Butterflies.
