Hearts are perfect for Mother’s Day cards, and I found one from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog, page 11. It’s the Bouquet Of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder, which comes with dies.
I began by using the large, heart die to cut from the new, Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper, and layered it for thickness.
Mother’s Day Heart
Next, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 4” X 5 1/4”, and embossed it with the Bouquet Of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder. I was careful to center the heart, when placing the cardstock in the folder. Then, I glued this layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2” X 5 1/2”, folded at 4 1/4”.
“Happy Mother’s Day” is from the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set, p.37, stamped in Stazon Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock. I used a new, Stylish Shapes Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals.
The small flower and leaves, tucked behind the sentiment label, were created with Bouquet Of Love Dies and Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper.
After adding three tiny pearls, my Mother’s Day card was complete.

It’s finally here, the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog is LIVE!!! That means, its beautiful contents are available for ordering. You can view, and download, a copy to your computer by clicking on the cover. You’re going to love the new, 2022-2024 In Colors! And, the Glimmer Paper is fabulous, especially in person, where you can really see it sparkle.
Today’s card has a card base of Orchid Oasis Cardstock, 8 1/2” X 5 1/2”, folded at 4 1/4”, layered with Basic White Cardstock, 4” X 5 1/4”. The top layer is Orchid Oasis, In Color 6” X 6” Designer Paper, cut 1/8” smaller, giving it a 1/16” border of white.
Glimmer Wings
Next, using Brilliant Wings Dies, I cut the three butterflies from In Color Glimmer Paper in Tahitian Tide and Starry Sky. They were glued at their bodies, leaving the wings to lift. That’s another great thing about Glimmer Paper, it’s extra sturdy.
For the sentiment, I found a small, “hello” in the Ranunculus Romance Stamp Set, stamped it in Starry Sky Ink, and used a Ranunculus Die for cutting.
I completed my butterfly card with three Glossy Dots. They are included in the new, Hues Of Happiness Suite.

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, and I’ve combined the new bundle, Bottled Happiness, with some of my favorite “Last Chance” products. Today, May 2nd, is the last day you can order “Last Chance” products.
Sending Cheer
The colors are: Pool Party, Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral. Take a look at all of our designer’s projects using this color palette, then create your own, and hang it in our gallery.
My card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2 X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″.
Prior to gluing this layer to the card base, I used a Basic Pattern Decorative Mask and Pool Party Ink for stenciling. This is one of my favorite techniques, and this set of masks is a “Last Chance” product, on sale for $4.80.
Next, I used an Ornate Layers Die to cut the center panel from Basic White Cardstock. This die set is a Last Chance product, on sale for $29.60, and I will miss showing it to you! It will stay in my collection, but I prefer to show you things that are available.
Before gluing the panel to my stenciling, I embossed it with a third, Last Chance product, the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. You need to order this at the sale price of $7.20, before it is gone forever!
The final, “Last Chance” product is Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper, which I used the cut the Calypso Coral flower, with a Meadow Die. The Meadow Die is pictured in the first photo, and the set is carrying over to the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.
Now, for the new, Bottled Happiness Bundle, which you can order May 3rd. I stamped the bottle in Pool Party Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used my Paper Snips for cutting. The bundle comes with a punch, but I haven’t received it yet. Then, I stamped the label in Pale Papaya Ink, added the sentiment in Memento Black Ink, cut with Paper Snips, and glued it to the bottle.
After attaching the bottle and flower with Dimensionals, my card was complete.

Welcome to May! I remember dancing around a May Pole, when I was in elementary school, and it was an exciting day! Equally exciting is ordering from the new, 2022-2023 Annual Catalog in just two more days! So, times have changed, and excitement has shifted, but it’s all good. Right?
One of my favorite bundles from the catalog is Wisteria Wishes, because it not only has beautiful flowers, but vines and leaves as well. I love the way it looks, even after the flowers have disappeared, and today’s card represents the “after-bloom.”
Wisteria Vines
To reminisce about the purple flowers, I chose a Highland Heather card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with purple, Flowering Fields Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″.
Next, I cut three vines from In Good Taste Designer Paper, and glued them on top of the purple paper, equally spaced for the sketch I was following. Then, I cut the leaves from a green section of Flowering Fields Designer Paper, and glued it across the vines, leaving the ends free to lift.
“Happiness grows within” is from the Wisteria Wishes Stamp Set, stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink on Flowering Fields Designer Paper, and cut with the Messages Die. After attaching the sentiment with Dimensionals, my clean & simple Wisteria card was complete.

The Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper is gorgeous, and coordinates beautifully with the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and Blossoming Happiness Dies; all available May 3rd. They can be purchased separately, or together in a bundle, or suite.
Roses and Best Wishes
I began today’s card with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. Prior to gluing, I used a Blossoming Happiness Die to make the horizontal “cut-out.” I also cut a small strip of Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper to place behind the “cut-out”, letting the colors show through the holes. Don’t you love it? Then, I cut a piece of the same Hues Of Happiness DSP, 5 1/4″ X 2″, and glued it to the top of the layer.
Next, I cut three roses and four leaves from the Hues Of Happiness DSP, and attached them with Dimensionals. The dies are shown in the first photo.
“Best wishes” is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Floral Gallery Die. I’m happy to say that this die set will be carrying over to the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, along with the coordinating stamp set, Art Gallery.
After attaching the sentiment with Mini Dimensionals, and adding three Pastel Pearls, my card was complete.

Bottles are so much fun, because they make beautiful containers for flowers, or empty, showing off three of the new 2022-2024 In Colors.
Bottled Happiness Sneak Peek
I began with the card base, Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This is topped with 2022-2024 6″ X 6″ In Color Designer Paper in Tahitian Tide, a spec smaller than the card front.
The next layer is 2022-2024 6″ X 6″ In Color Designer Paper in Orchid Oasis, 3 7/8″ X 5 1/8″. The top layer is Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″, embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder.
I enjoyed stamping the bottles in the pretty, new colors; first, Tahitian Tide, second, Parakeet Party, and third, Orchid Oasis. Then, I used Paper Snips for cutting, and attached the bottles to the card front with Dimensionals. The Bottled Happiness Bundle comes with a punch for a different bottle in the set, but it was fairly easy to cut this guy by hand.
“Thank you” is from the Art Gallery Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, cut with a Floral Gallery Die, and attached with Dimensionals. These sets will be carrying over to the new catalog. Yay!
To complete my card, I tied Playful Pets Trim around the fold. This is a Last Chance product on sale for $6.00, which you can see by clicking on the picture in my Product List below.
Don’t you love the paper I used for photography? It’s one of the Perfectly Penciled Designer Paper patterns in the new catalog.
