Welcome to the Pals Fun Folds Blog Hop! We hope you enjoy the inspiration we have for you. You will find the lineup to the other great fun fold stampers at the bottom of my post.
For today’s “fun fold,” I wanted to share one of my favorites; the Double Z Fold card. I’ve decorated it with a new bundle from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog; Happiness Abounds, and Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper. This will be available May 3, 2022, and if you haven’t guessed, it’s also a favorite!
Double Z Fold
First, I cut a piece of 8 1/2″ X 11″ Gorgeous Grape Cardstock in half, 4 1/4″ X 11″, and scored it at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. You can use the other half to make a second card.
The front panel was decorated with Highland Heather Cardstock, 2 1/4″ X 4″, cut with a unique, Blossoming Happiness Die.
The large panel was covered with a gorgeous floral from Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper, 5 1/4″ X 4″.
After gluing the panels, I cut a band for the bottom, 11″ X 1 1/4,” scored at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″. I decorated the band with three strips of Hues Of Happiness Designer paper. The long strip is 5 1/4″ X 1″, and the two shorter strips are 2 1/2″ X 1″.
The trickiest part of the Double Z-Fold is fastening the band. It seems odd, but the long section of the band is glued to the short front section. I find it easiest to apply glue to the folded band, because this exposes only the part that should have glue. Then, fold the card while adhering the band in place. I suggest having a “dry” run before applying glue.
“Happy Birthday” and “Wishing you all the happiness you can imagine,” are from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Stylish Shapes Dies, and attached with Dimensionals. The Stylish Shapes Die Set is also in the new catalog, and will be available May 3, 2022.
For some added detail, I cut three flowers and a few leaves from the Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper, and attached them with glue or Dimensionals.
Incidentally, the Double Z-Fold card will fit right inside our Medium Envelopes. YAY!

For this week’s Global Design Challenge, we get to CASE Ann Alexander. Clicking on her card will take you to the site where you’ll see all the designer’s interpretations of her card.
I chose to give you a sneak peek of the Wisteria Wishes Bundle, using Evening Evergreen for the card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. First, I layered this with Soft Succulent, In-Color 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper, cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die.

Second, I cut a square, using one of the new, Stylish Shapes Dies. This is a great set with 15 dies in stitched circles, squares, and banners.
Next, I used a Wisteria Die to cut the branch from Soft Succulent Cardstock, and blooms from Highland Heather Cardstock and an Ombre Gift Bag. After gluing the branch and blooms to the square, I raised the square on Dimensionals.
The sentiment, “Hang in there,” is from the Wisteria Wishes Stamp Set, stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink. Then, I used Paper Snips for cutting, and attached it with tiny pieces of Dimensionals.
I completed my design with three Pastel Pearls, which happens to be my host code gift for the month of April. Details below.

The Hues Of Happiness Designer Paper is gorgeous, and coordinates beautifully with the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and Blossoming Happiness Dies; all available May 3rd. They can be purchased separately, or together in a bundle, or suite.
Hues of Happiness sneak peek
This suite does not specifically use the new In-Colors, but you could fool me! Instead of using the assigned, Night of Navy, I used the new color, Starry Sky for the card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
I layered the card base with Basic White Cardstock, cut with a unique, Blossoming Happiness Die. I love how the cut out pieces let the color show through!
Next, I cut a strip from the Hues of Happiness Designer Paper, 1″ X 5 1/4″, and glued it on the left side. Also, from the Hues of Happiness Designer Paper, is the Melon Mambo flower and Granny Apple Green leaves, cut with Blossoming Happiness Dies. They would be pretty stamped in the new colors, Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party.
“Happy birthday” is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, stamped in Starry Sky Ink, to match the card base. I stamped the sentiment on Basic White Cardstock, 1″ X 5 1/4″, and used a Blossoming Happiness Die to add detail to the edge. The “notebook” die is in the first photo; a favorite for sure!

Today’s card is layered with a combination of ocean and sea life sets. I especially wanted you to see three, retiring, “Last Chance” products that won’t be available after May 2nd: Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper, Seascape Stamp Set, and Sea Life Dies.
“…bigger than the ocean”
Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper is coming to the end of its promotion, and the last time I checked, it was still available. The Waves Dies and Waves Of Inspiration Stamp Set are carrying over to the new annual catalog, but this paper will no longer be offered after May 2. Get it now!
How did I make this card? Let’s begin with the card base, which is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The first layer is Granny Apple Green Cardstock, 5 1/8″ X 3 7/8″. The second layer is Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper, 5″ X 3 3/4″. The third layer is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 3 7/8″ X 2 7/8″, which is placed on Dimensionals. The fourth layer is Waves Of The Ocean DSP, 3 3/4″ X 2 3/4″.
The fifth layer is Waves Of The Ocean DSP, cut with the smallest Layering Diorama Die. Prior to attaching it with Dimensionals, I stamped it with the sentiment in Night Of Navy Ink. “My love for you is bigger than the ocean,” is from the Whale Done Stamp Set, a set that is carrying over to the new catalog.
The large fish is from the Seascape Stamp Set, a set that is retiring. I stamped it in Granny Apple Green Ink, fussy cut, and attached with Dimensionals.
The two, blue fish, and the coral, were cut from Waves Of The Ocean DSP with Sea Life Dies. This set has been a favorite, but is retiring, with a reduced price of $23.20. You can see the entire set in my Product List below.
To complete the card, I added a few Opal Rounds, which will be in the new catalog.

I’m excited to give you a sneak peek of one of the suites from the new 2022-2023 Annual Catalog, Happiness Abounds. This wonderful set will be available for customer orders on May 3rd.
Happiness Abounds Sneak Peek
I love when Stampin’ Up makes dies that cut the images from the coordinating designer paper. The Blossoming Happiness die set has several flower and leaf dies that cut the Hues Of Happiness DSP perfectly.
“Wishing you all the happiness you can imagine” is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Stylish Shapes Die. You’re going to want this die set, because it has 15 stitched, dies that layer: circles, squares, and banners.
The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, colored with a new In-Color, Tahitian Tide, using a Basic Pattern Decorative Mask to make the dots. This is a Last Chance product, on sale for $4.80, which can be ordered now by clicking on its picture in my Product List below.
Next, I used a Blossoming Happiness Die to give “notebook” detailing to the edge. It was used on the cover of the catalog, and everyone will want this die! Isn’t it fabulous?
The card base is Tahitian Tide Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I love this color!
The Glossy Dots are included in the Hues of Happiness Suite, and I placed three on the circle with the sentiment. The suite is on pages 108-109 in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog.
