Welcome to the first day of Spring! I began today’s card with the Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set, stamping the rectangular stamp in three colors of ink (Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Pear Pizzazz) on Basic White Cardstock. I eyeballed the distance between, which is approximately 3/4″.

Daffodils For You
Once the rectangles were stamped, I stamped the daffodils, from the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink. Then, I used the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting.
Next, I used the largest Scalloped Contours Die to cut from Pattern Party Designer Paper, and glued the two layers together. I love using this combination of die cuts, because they are a perfect fit.
The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “For you,” is from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with the Messages Die. For a little sparkle, I added three, Artistry Blooms Sequins.

I was inspired by Freshly made Sketches.

The Pansy Patch Bundle has been a favorite, and one of the bundles that’s being discounted 20%, during Savings Are In Bloom, for the month of March. It has coordinating Pansy Petals Designer Paper that makes it especially fun to use with the Pansy Dies. Would you believe I forgot these dies existed, and cut the pansies and leaves by hand?!
After realizing my forgetfulness, (I’m on vacation) I glued the flowers and leaves together, and placed them on Dimensionals.

Pansy Petals Thank You
The Fresh Freesia gingham is Pansy Petals Designer Paper also, cut with a Painted Labels Die. And, the background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. Don’t you love the pretty texture?

If you’d like to make an Easter card with a cross, I found one in the Daffodil Daydream Bundle. I used Daffodil Dies that were meant to cut flower stems to cut “boards” for a cross; two 4″ verticals, and two 3″ horizontals. To make it looks like a wooden cross, I used In Good Taste Designer Paper in a wood texture, and backed with cardstock for thickness.

Easter Cross
The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die. The card base is Pear Pizzazz, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The “grass” is another Daffodil Die, meant to cut a flower part, which I cut from a scrap of Flowering Fields Designer Paper. The butterflies, also a Daffodil Die, was used to cut five butterflies; three from Mango Melody, Flowering Fields DSP, and two from Daffodil Delight, Waves Of The Ocean DSP.

Prior to gluing things in place, I used two Daffodil Daydream Stamps and Pear Pizzazz Ink to stamp “Easter Blessings,” and the dots.
Lastly, I attached the butterflies with Mini Dimensionals, which I cut in half. It’s easiest to cut portions of Dimensionals, if you leave them on the sheet while cutting; just a trick I learned.

I was inspired by the Paper Players.

I love silhouettes and paper words, and the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle has both!

Amazing Thanks
I began today’s thank you card by stamping the tree in Evening Evergreen Ink on Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper, 2 1/2″ X 5 1/4″. Then, I cut In Color 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in plaid, Evening Evergreen, 1″ X 5 1/4″, and glued it along the side of the tree. This was glued to a Coastal Cabana card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I used Amazing Thanks Dies to cut the word “thanks.” The “bubble” was cut from Evening Evergreen Cardstock, and the thin word was cut from Brights 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in plaid, Coastal Cabana.
After cutting “thanks,” I attached it with Mini Dimensionals.

I can’t stop using the beautiful, Waves Rhinestones, so it’s a good thing each pack has 168 rhinestones.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Welcome to Global Design Project’s challenge; a fun sketch this week. See how our designers used the sketch, then play along with us by adding your card to our gallery.

I decided to use the sketch to show off the Sea Life fish from the Annual Catalog, with the early release, Waves of the Ocean Designer Paper. The fish is part of the Sea Life Bundle that is discounted 20% during the month of March. You’ll find the complete list of sale bundles below.
First, I cut the fish from a yellow to red section of Rainbow Glimmer Paper. I love this paper for the fish, not only because of the sparkle and ombre effect, but it’s sturdy, and allows the fins to bend.

Sea Life
If you haven’t seen the Waves of the Ocean Designer Paper, I’m hoping to bring it to your attention with today’s card. It is part of the Waves of Inspiration Suite, an early release from the upcoming Annual Catalog, available in May. The stamp set and dies will be in the new catalog, however, this gorgeous paper, the foil, and Rhinestone Waves jewels, will only be available while supplies last. You can see details on these items in my Product List below, and a special video.

Once I had my fish, I chose his ocean, cut a piece, 3 1/2″ X 3 3/4″, and glued it in the center of a Soft Succulent card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I cut two strips, 3 1/2″ X 3/4″, layered them for thickness, and attached them with Dimensionals.

The sentiment, “happy birthday” is from the Waves of Inspiration Stamp Set, stamped in Night of Navy Ink on the DSP, cut with a Waves Die, and attached with Dimensionals. When you have fabulous paper, it doesn’t take much to create an eye-catching card!

Welcome to our March Stamping Sunday Blog Hop, where we’re showing projects highlighting ribbon. You’ll find the line-up below to see what the other designers created.
I designed two clean & simple cards, using different ribbon techniques, “threaded” and “shredded,” with products from the “early-release” Waves Of Inspiration Collection.

“threaded” and “shredded” ribbon
My first card began with Denim Ribbon, threaded through a Thick Basic White sentiment label, cut with a Waves Die. The label has holes on each side, begging for ribbon to be threaded. Then, I placed the label on Dimensionals, and glued the ends of the ribbon on the back of the layer. Prior to adding the ribbon to the label, I stamped “your strength is an inspiration” in Night Of Navy Ink. This is one of the great sentiments from the Waves Of Inspiration Stamp Set.
Next, I stamped the wave from the Waves Of Inspiration Stamp Set in Night of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock. You can add color and die-cuts to the wave, but I wanted you to see how beautiful it is simply stamped. This Basic White layer is 1/8″ smaller than the Daffodil Delight, Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper, beneath it, which is 4″ X 5 1/4″. The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The clouds in the sky, and the large bird were cut with Waves Dies from Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper, and glued in place. I stamped the two smaller birds, from the Waves Of Inspiration Stamp Set, in Night Of Navy Ink.
To create some sparkle, I added three Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels. Aren’t they pretty? You can see details of the “early release” collection in my Product List below.

My second card highlights the 1/4″ Bumblebee Gingham Trim, which I cut in four strips, tied a bow, and named it “shredded” ribbon. It was easily attached with a spot of Liquid Glue at the knot.
The Waves Die Set has a smaller label die, which could also accommodate ribbon, but I used it as a decorative piece, cut from three patterns of Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. Prior to embossing, I stamped “happy birthday,” from the Waves Of Inspiration Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink. The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
To add some life to my card, I added two birds, cut with a Beautiful Trees Die form Basic Black Cardstock.
Both cards received decorated envelope flaps, using the beautiful, Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper. It was easy to cut the designer paper 5 3/4″ X 2 1/2″, add glue to the flap, attach the designer paper, and trim the excess with scissors, using the flap as a template.

Thank you for visiting today. Now, click on the names for more ribbon inspiration.
