Fusion always has fun challenges, and today I fused the sketch with the photo, turquoise flowers.

Turquoise Flowers

The Pansy Patch Stamp Set has a pretty, flower that I “stamped off” in Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay Ink. Without the detailing, it looks more like a Vinca, which I thought was pretty for a change. After stamping on Basic White Cardstock, I used a Pansy Die to cut the five flowers, and placed them on Dimensionals.
The three leaves were also cut with a Pansy Die from Sahara Sand Cardstock, and glued in place.
The Pansy Patch Bundle is one of the “Savings Are In Bloom” bundles being offered this month, and may be one you’d like to add to your collection. Just click on it below, and get your 20% savings!

The background is Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die, 4″ X 2 3/4″. This was attached with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The “wall” is In Good Taste Designer Paper, 2 1/4″ X 4 1/4″. I cut it a sliver smaller than 4 1/4″, so it wouldn’t hang over the edge.
The Basic White piece in the corner is actually a petal from the larger pansy, cut with a Pansy Die, shown in the first photo.

Prior to attaching the stitched rectangle, I stamped the sentiment in Gray Granite Ink. “A little hello from me to you” is from the Pansy Patch Stamp Set.
The flower centers are Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels, which are gorgeous. You can see all the colors in my Product List.

The Quiet Meadow Bundle is one of my favorites, and it’s at a 20% discount for the month of March, during our Savings Are In Bloom promotion. You can see all of the discounted bundles listed below.
Today’s card has a different orientation; a top fold, rather than on the side. The Thick Basic White card base is 4 1/4″ X 11″, folded at 5 1/2″.

Quiet Meadow
The colorful rectangle in the center is Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper, 2 3/4″ X 4″. First, I arranged the card base on my Stamparatus, with the Waves DSP, held in place with a magnet. Second, I stamped the flower from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set in Night Of Navy Ink, three times. Third, I backed the Waves DSP with cardstock for thickness, and raised it on Dimensionals.
Next, I used a Meadows Die to cut the flower from Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper, backed it with cardstock for thickness, and glued it in place.
Prior to attaching the center piece, I glued a strip of Neutrals 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper, 4 1/4″ X 1 1/4″, along the bottom of the card front.

“Thinking of you” is from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set, stamped in Night Of Navy Ink, and cut with a Meadows Die.
Just for fun, I cut three skinny strips of Waves Of The Ocean Designer Paper to thread through the holes in the sentiment label. Then, I attached it with Dimensionals.

The Waves Rhinstones are so pretty, I added three to complete today’s card.
Every time I create with this bundle, I see more possibilities. Another idea is coming soon!

I was inspired by Freshly made Sketches.

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is Cute Critters. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! As you hop from blog to blog, we would love for you to leave a comment. You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
The Easter Friends Stamp Set has such cute critters! This is Hop Hop the bunny, with a surprise “pop-up” on the inside.

Easter Friends Pop-Up Card
Here’s the pop-up surprise, starring Peep, the chick.

To make the pop-up, begin with Highland Heather Cardstock, 4 1/4″ X 11″. Next, cut Flowering Fields Designer Paper, 3 3/4″ X 10 3/4″, scored at 4 1/4″, 5 1/4″, and 6 1/4″. When you fold on the score lines, it will look like a mountain in the middle. Next, glue the bottom half of the DSP to the bottom of the card base. Then, fold flat, and glue the top half of the DSP to the top half of the card base. It works if your borders are even, and you can test before gluing to make sure it forms a right angle.
The sentiment is from the Easter Friends Stamp Set, stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink, cut with a Scalloped Contours Die, and glued to the fold along the bottom.
Peep was stamped in Memento Black Ink, colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, fussy cut, and glued in place.

Now, back to the front, which Hop Hop says is the most important. (We’ll let him think that). He is from the Easter Friends Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After coloring him with Crumb Cake and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends, I used Paper Snips to set him free.
Easter Blessings is from the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set, stamped in Gorgeous Grape, and cut with the smallest Scalloped Contours Die. After gluing Hop Hop’s feet to the top of the sentiment label, I attached him with Dimensionals.
The background is Subtles 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in plaid Highland Heather, cut with the second largest Scalloped Contours Die. It is layered on Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Scalloped Contours Die.
To add some color, I used a Horizon Die to cut some grass from Beauty of the Earth Designer Paper. I thought I was finished, but Hop Hop said he wanted to hold a tulip, so I gave him one, cut from the Flowering Fields Designer Paper. Now, he is happy, and excited for Easter!

Thanks for hopping by.

More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. The Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop on [second Wednesday]. Our theme will be Fabulous Flowers when our Design Team creates a project using any of the many beautiful flowers in our catalogs.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Mar 7, 2022 | Gallery, Global Design Project, Hand-Crafted Cards |
This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge with a favorite combination of green and blue: Garden Green, Mint Macaron, and Balmy Blue. We’re having temperatures in the eighties in San Diego, so my thoughts went to the beach.

Beachy kind of day
First, I used a Blending Brush to apply Balmy Blue Ink to Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″. Second, I cut a whole in my pretty, blue, paper with a large, Layering Circles Die. Third, I made a frame for the circle using two Layering Circles Dies, cut from Subtles 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in Mint Macaron. Then, I used an embossing folder to ripple the blue paper. I know it’s called the Bark Embossing Folder, but it can look like ocean also, right?

Fourth, I cut a second piece of Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″ to glue to my ocean. The hole made a perfect spot to stamp Balmy Blue birds from the On The Horizon Stamp Set. Prior to gluing the layers together, I trimmed a sliver off the bottom of the white cardstock, because the embossing folder made the blue piece shrink.
Once the layers were glued together, it was attached with Dimensionals to a Mint Macaron card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I used a Palms Die to cut the palm tree from Garden Green Cardstock, gluing the trunk, and attaching the fronds with a Dimnensional.
The horizontal strip was cut with another Palms Die from the same Subtles 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper as the scalloped circle.
“Wishing you a warm and beachy kind of day” is from the Paradise Palms Stamp Set, stamped in Garden Green Ink, cut with the Messages Die, and attached with Dimensionals.
The last detail was adding the Faux Sea Glass Shapes. They are so pretty and realistic!

Celebrate Sunflowers has been a favorite bundle of mine, and it’s on sale this month. For the month of March, this bundle is included in the “Savings Are In Bloom Sale,” with a 20% discount. You’ll find the complete, pictured, list of bundles below.

Celebrate Sunflowers
For today’s card, I used the “frame” Sunflowers Die to cut from a yellow section of the “early release” Waves of the Ocean Designer Paper. Then, I used the “detailed” die to cut from Daffodil Delight Cardstock, and glued them together at the center. The round center is another die in the set, cut from In Good Taste Designer Paper, and glued in place. The flower is raised on Dimensonals.
Next, I cut two leaves from a green section of Waves of the Ocean DSP, stamped them with a Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp in Early Espresso Ink, and used their Sunflowers Die for cutting. I decided to add veins, cut with a Sunflowers Die from In Good Taste Designer Paper, and glued them on top of the leaves. One leaf is glued flat, and one on Dimensionals.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. This is glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The brown piece is In Good Taste Designer Paper, cut with an Ornate Layers Die.

“Know that you are loved” is one of the sentiments in the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock. I used a Messages Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

Today’s card was a fun experiment with the Amazing Silhouettes Bundle, Watercolor Shapes, and Stitched Greenery.
First, I placed the tree from the Amazing Thanks Stamp Set on the lid of the Stamparatus.
Second, I used the largest rectangle from the Watercolor Shapes Stamp Set, and stamped the top third of the tree in Granny Apple Green Ink. Third, I lowered the lid on Basic White Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 5 1/4″. Fourth, I used the Watercolor Shapes Stamp, on an Acrylic Block, to stamp Granny Apple Green Ink on top of the tree.
These steps were repeated with Pear Pizzazz Ink and Garden Green Ink, cleaning the two stamps between colors.
Then, I decided to obscure the tree a bit more by running it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Stitched Greenery Die. Trees and leaves go together, right?

Amazing Thanks
Next, I cut the word “thanks,” from Basic Black Cardstock, using an Amazing Thanks Die. You can see the other words in the set in my Product List below. And, you can order the words and the stamp set in a bundle for a 10% savings.
After gluing “thanks” in place, I backed the layer with a stripe of Pattern Party Designer Paper, 3 3/4″ X 5 1/4″. This was layered on a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Finally, I added three, black, Classic Matte Dots, and my experiment was complete.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.
