I’ve been working on building up my stash of Christmas cards, and was delighted to see this week’s theme at Global Design Project was Christmas. And, I love using the Christmas Pinecone Dies!
Christmas Pinecones
I began by using a large Christmas Pinecone Die to cut from Basic White Cardstock, making a stencil. Then, I placed my stencil over Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, and applied Mossy Meadow Ink with a Sponge Dauber.
This layer was glued to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
How do you like the pinecones? I was trying different color combinations for realistic pinecones, when I remembered that Stampin’ Up! shows us, on page 16 of the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. Use Crumb Cake for the solid piece, and Early Espresso for the detailed piece.
After cutting and gluing the pieces together, I glued the small pinecone flat, in the middle, and attached the two larger ones with Dimensionals.
“Merry Christmas” is from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set, stamped in Cherry Cobbler Ink on Basic White Cardstock, 3 1/4″ X 3/4″. After giving it texture with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder, I backed it with Regals 6X6 Designer Paper in a Cherry Cobbler plaid, 3 1/2″ X 1″. Then, I backed the label with cardstock for durability, and attached it with Dimensionals.
The bow is Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim, stretched apart, and attached with a Glue Dot.
As I was viewing this close-up, I realized that the pinecones look better from a distance. Some things are like that!

I’m not sure who hung these pretty ornaments in the forest, but here they are! They are hanging from a pine tree, cut from Basic White Cardstock with a Christmas Pinecone Die.
Wink of Stella ornaments
The ornaments are from the Whimsical Trees Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Christmas Trees Die, which comes in a “bundle” for a 10% savings.
I colored the ornaments with a Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush and three colors of ink: Cherry Cobbler, Misty Moonlight, and Smoky Slate. This was a “new to me” technique I learned at On Stage: touching the tip of the Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush to the ink before coloring. Fun!
To add to my focal point, I raised the ornaments on Mini Dimensionals, and glued the ends of the strings beneath the pine branch.
The forest background was created with Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper. I used the largest Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting and backed it with cardstock for thickness. Then, it was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, folded at 4 1/4″.
The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals Stamp Set. I stamped “Happy Holidays” in Memento Black Ink on Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper, used an Ornate Frames Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

Today’s card began with three, pretty, stars, cut with Christmas Trimmings Dies. I used Rainbow Glimmer Paper for the detailed portion, and Basic White Cardstock for backing. The white “backing” was larger than I wanted, so I trimmed away the excess.
Merry & Bright
Next, I cut a layer of Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and embossed the bottom third with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
Using the Stamparatus, I stamped the sentiment in Memento Black Ink. “May your days be merry and bright” is from the Tidings & Trimmings Stamp Set.
Prior to gluing the layer to a card base of Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I attached a piece of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.
Finally, I added tiny, white, stars, created with a Christmas Trimmings Die. The Take Your Pick tool came in handy for applying these tiny stars. You can read about it by clicking on the picture in my Product List below.

This is the last day for the SEASONAL SALE! Details are below by my “shop” button.
ALL of the dies, inks and cardstock in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog have been discounted during this three day sale, November 16-18.
I have pictures and links to my store for all 75 die sets (20% discount). The cardstock (10% discount) and inks (15% discount) are on pages 122 and 123.
For today’s card, the last day of the sale, it seemed appropriate for me to use my favorite dies. I’ll admit, I have lots of favorites, but the Ornate Frames Dies and Ornate Layers Dies have had the most use. I combined them today, with the Meadow Dies, for a sympathy card.
Quiet Meadow
I began with a Thick Basic White card base, the one I use most often, 8 1/2″ X 4 1/4″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used the largest Ornate Layers Die to cut Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper. After “flicking” a spray of dots on the paper, with a Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend, I glued the beautiful sky to the card base.
Next, I used three Meadow Dies to cut foliage from Basic White Cardstock and Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper. The dies are in the first photo above. I glued the two white flowers first, followed by the green branch on top.
The sentiment, “Heartfelt love and caring thoughts are with you,” is from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set. I stamped it in Night Of Navy Ink on the same, Beauty Of The Earth Designer Paper, and used an Ornate Frames Die for cutting. After backing it with cardstock for thickness, I attached it with Dimensionals.
Finally, I punctuated the sentiment with five, tiny pearls.

First of all, the SEASONAL SALE is going on right now! Details are below by my “shop” button. There’s a 20% discount on the Scalloped Contours Dies and Layering Circles Dies I used on today’s card; a 15% discount on Memento Black Ink; a 10% discount on the cardstock.

Now, for today’s card, featuring the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set. I love the shading in this beautiful set of “Distinktive” stamps. Stampin’ Up! created these red rubber stamps to achieve this look by stamping in ink and onto paper in one application. So easy and fun!
I stamped the three images in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used plain, Layering Circles Dies for cutting the images, and scalloped, Layering Circles Dies for cutting the Silver Foil, used as backing.
The largest circle was glued flat, and the two smaller circles were attached with Dimensionals.
Distinktive Circles
I kept the background simple with Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Scalloped Contours Die, glued to a Basic Gray card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Prior to gluing the scalloped layer, I stamped “Sending Hugs” in Memento Black Ink.
The sentiments are wonderful in the Eden’s Garden Stamp Set, so I stamped one on the inside also; “my heart is tied to yours…tug if you need anything.” And, I used a smaller Scalloped Contours Die for cutting the Basic White Cardstock, finishing it with another stamped sprig.
This led to decorating the envelope flap with Neutrals 6X6″ Designer Paper in Basic Gray, and my card is ready to send.

For today’s “quick & easy” card, I used the largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut the pretty, striped, Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper, and glued this to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Rectangle Stitched Dies
The next layer, also Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper, was cut with the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die, and attached with Dimensionals. Isn’t the pink, snowflake paper beautiful?
Next, the wreath was created with two Seasonal Swirls Dies. One was used to cut Thick Basic White Cardstock, and one to cut Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper in Mint Macaron. These were glued to the card front with tiny dots of Liquid Glue.
The sentiment, “to you and yours,” is from the Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, and used the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting. After adding a bow of Silver Simply Elegant Trim, I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals.
Finally, I embellished the wreath with three, tiny, Rhinestones, and my “quick & easy” holiday card was complete.
