Today’s clean & simple, “sneak peek,” developed from experimenting with Stampin’ Up’s Soft Pastels. Sky is a great background for many things, so I gently applied the Coastal Cabana Soft Pastel to Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″.
Holding the stick lengthwise, I used a circular motion, then rubbed it in with my index finger. To make sure all of the powder was absorbed, I continued rubbing with a tissue. I’m sure there are other methods, but this is what I did.

Amazing Silhouettes
There were so many options for my pretty, blue sky, it was hard to decide. But, since I was experimenting, I decided to use a new stamp set, Amazing Silhouettes. I love silhouettes, and this was a gift to all of the OnStage Attendees. Lucky us! All Demonstrators will be able to order the set starting tomorrow, December 1, and everyone can order it January 4, 2022.
You might want to jot down these numbers:
Amazing Silhouettes #157814 | $22.00
Amazing Thanks Dies #157816 | $27.00 (If you like word dies, you’ll want this).
Amazing Silhouettes Bundle #157819 | $44.00 (10% savings)

Next, I stamped the tree in Granny Apple Green Ink, in the middle of the blue background. So pretty; I admired it for a while. Then, I tried several colors for the card base, and chose Soft Sea Foam, 8 1/2 X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Thinking of you,” is from the Beauty of Friendship Stamp Set, stamped in Granny Apple Green, and cut with its Beautiful Trees Die. I probably thought of it, because this current bundle is all about trees. You can see it in my Product List below.
The sentiment was stamped on Thick Basic White Cardstock with a touch of the Soft Pastel. And, for a little more color, I used the Beautiful Trees Die to cut another label from Pattern Party Designer Paper. This was glued to the sentiment, before attaching it with Dimensionals, and my clean & simple, “sneak peek,” was complete.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Welcome to Global Design Project, and this week we get to CASE Kayla McCreadie. I have a “thing” for bees on cards, and I couldn’t wait to give you a sneak peek of a new set coming in January.
The first thing I did was stamp the wonderful bees in Cinnamon Cider Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and use their Honeybee Blooms Dies for cutting. You’ll find more details on the new products below.

Honeybee Family
Second, I made the bee’s hive with the new, Hive Embossing Folder, and Basic White Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 4 3/4″. After rolling it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I roughed up the edges with the blade of my Paper Snips.

Third, I used Dimensionals to attach the hive, on an angle, to Heart & Home Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. The designer paper was glued to a Garden Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Fourth, I cut the greenery from Garden Green cardstock, using two of the Honeybee Blooms Dies, and glued it in place.

Fifth, I stamped the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider Ink to match the bees. “so glad we’re family” is one of the great sentiments in the Honeybee Home Stamp Set. Then, I used a Tailor Made Tag Die for cutting, tied Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon through the hole, and attached it with Dimensionals.
Finally, I attached the bees, and my sneak peek was complete. If you’re a bee lover, you will like this set as much as I do.

New Product Info:
Honeybee Home Stamp Set #157943 | $22.00

Honeybee Blooms Dies #157951 | $28.00

Hive 3D Embossing Folder #157955 | $9.00
The honeybees set is part of the Heart & Home Suite that Demonstrators were able to experience at On Stage last week. Attendees were able to purchase prior to the event, and all Demonstrators are able to purchase December 1. That’s the day after tomorrow! Customers will be able to purchase January 4, 2022. Here are three cards we made together during our virtual OnStage event, #onstageathome.
If you can’t wait to get your hands on new product, send me an email ([email protected]), and we can chat about how easy it is to become a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator with all of its advantages.

This is Kayla’s card. “Bee” inspired by the other designers, then hang your CASE of Kayla’s card in our gallery.

December is almost here! If you haven’t started making Christmas cards, now is the time! Plus, this is the last day of my Black Friday Weekend FREE SHIPPING offer. Order a minimum of $75.00 (before tax and shipping) today, 11/28, and I will mail you a check for the shipping amount, along with my November Host Code Gift. Don’t miss out!
For today’s card, I used my favorite, Ornate Layers Die, to cut Painted Christmas Designer Paper. Prior to gluing this layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I wrapped it in sparkly, Metallic Mesh Ribbon. This was easily taped to the back of the layer.

Christmas Snowflake
Next, I used Word Wishes Dies to cut “Merry Christmas” from Subtles 6X6 Designer Paper. I chose this, because I wanted a lighter shade of Blushing Bride. Since the words would have some “overhang,” I backed them with cardstock, for sturdiness. Then, I brushed Wink Of Stella over the letters for a “frosty” look. Wink Of Stella is fun to use, and will be my Host Code Gift for December. Yay!

The middle strip was created with an Ornate Layers Die, approximately 3 1/2″ X 1″, which I used to cut Basic White Cardstock. After cutting, I embossed it with one of the Wintry Embossing Folders. Then, I layered it on Subtles 6X6 Designer Paper, 1/8″ larger, giving it a 1/16″ border.
Lastly, I glued the strip and letters in place, dotting the “i” with a Metallic Pearl, and attaching an opalescent, Wonderful Snowflake, with a Dimensional.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

FREE SHIPPING for Black Friday is continuing today through Sunday! Order a minimum of $75.00 (before tax and shipping) on 11/26, 11/27 or 11/28, and I will mail you a check for the shipping amount, along with my November Host Code Gift. Santa loves to deliver gifts, and so do I! Ho Ho Ho!
The Santa and his reindeer die is from the Giving Gifts Die Set, and easily snipped from the frame. I used Basic Gray Cardstock for this gray and white themed Christmas card.

Ho Ho Ho
The trees in the background are from the Welcoming Woods Stamp Set, stamped in Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used a Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting, 3″ X 4 1/4″, just the right size to accommodate Santa, reindeer, and trees.

Behind the scene is Neutrals 6X6 Designer Paper in a Basic Gray plaid. The plaid was cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die, and glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Ho Ho Ho” is from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, stamped in Basic Gray Ink, prior to attaching the scene with Dimensionals.
The last addition was the sprig of pine, cut with a Christmas Pinecone Die.

I was inspired by Fusion.

Now, for today’s card, using my favorite, whimsical, Christmas trees. Using two, Christmas Trees Dies, I cut the trees from five colors of green cardstock: Soft Succulent, Old Olive, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, and Just Jade.

Whimsical Trees
The background is Sweet Stockings Designer Paper, cut with the largest Scalloped Contours Die. This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Prior to gluing the layer, I stamped the sentiment in Garden Green Ink. Don’t you love the font?
“happiest holidays” is from the Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set, and you can see the entire set in my Product List below.

Nov 24, 2021 | Gallery, Hand-Crafted Cards, Pals Blog Hop |

Welcome to the Pals “first” Fun Folds Blog Hop. I created a design that I believe is original. It’s a standard sized card with a smaller card that is attached on top of it, so I’m calling it a “piggyback.” It’s really quite simple, which is what I like. You’ll find my supplies in the Product List below. And, don’t forget to come back on Black Friday for a special surprise!

“Piggyback” Fun Fold
I began with a Soft Succulent card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I layered the card front with a pretty pattern of Tidings Of Christmas Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Then, I layered the inside with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″.

Prior to gluing the inside, I stamped “Merry Christmas,” from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, in Cherry Cobbler Ink, and added an Evening Evergreen tree, cut with a Christmas Trees Die. And, I gave it a nice 1/2″ border, using the scoring tool on my Paper Trimmer. I was reminded of this technique when it was used at OnStage (a Stampin’ Up! event for Demonstrators).

Next, I cut a second card from Evening Evergreen Cardstock, 5″ X 4″, folded at 2 1/2″. The card front was layered with another pattern of Tidings Of Christmas Designer Paper, 2 1/4″ X 3 3/4″.

The inside of the smaller card also has Basic White Cardstock, 2 1/4″ X 3 3/4″, with a 1/4″ scored border.
I stamped “Ho Ho Ho,” from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, in Cherry Cobbler Ink, and a tree, from the Whimsical Trees Stamp Set, in Evening Evergreen Ink. Then, I glued the smaller card to the center of the larger card.

The top piece, Santa and his reindeer, was cut from Evening Evergreen Cardstock, using a Giving Gifts Die. I glued it to a third pattern of Tidings Of Christmas Designer Paper, 3 1/4″ X 1 1/2″. I also backed it with Evening Evergreen Cardstock for two reasons: the weight keeps the top card closed, and it looks nice and finished from the back.
Finally, I used a Giving Gifts Die to cut a cute, little, bow from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock that I glued to the top of the smaller card.

Now, continue hopping to see more Fun Fold ideas!
