The Ornate Garden Designer Paper was perfect for today’s color challenge: Old Olive, Soft Sea Foam, Terra Cotta Tile, and Flirty Flamingo.
I used the largest Brilliant Wings Die to cut the beautiful butterfly, and layered it with Basic White Cardstock for sturdiness.

Next, I used the largest Ornate Layers Die to cut the first layer from the floral, Ornate Garden Designer Paper.
The floral layer was topped with Subtles 6″X6″ Designer Paper in dotted, Soft Sea Foam, cut with the second largest Ornate Layers Die.
I used the Stamparatus to stamp the sentiment in Pear Pizzazz Ink, and stamped several times to make it nice and dark. “So grateful for someone like you in my life” is from the Country Home Stamp Set.
Finally, I glued the butterfly to the card front, and embellished with seven tiny pearls.

The Poppy Moments Die Set is amazing, and definitely a favorite. I love how this flower fits together like a jigsaw puzzle.
First, I cut the flower from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the same die to cut a flower from Sand & Sea Designer Paper, and filled in the six petals with the pretty, red pattern.
Poppy in Oval
Before gluing the poppy together, I prepared the background. The card base is Pear Pizzazz Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. It is layered with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″.
The oval was created with a Layering Ovals Die, which I used to cut a stencil. Then, I placed the stencil over the white layer, using Pear Pizzazz Ink for coloring. I would have used a Blending Brush to apply the ink, but I was away from my craft room, so used a paper towel and my finger. It worked surprisingly well!
Next, I cut two leaves from the Pear Pizzazz (inked with a paper towel) paper, and glued them to the sides of the oval. And, now, I put the poppy together like a jigsaw puzzle.
I used two more Poppy Moments Dies for the center of the flower with Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow Cardstock.
Last, I stamped “Thank you,” from the Sweet Ice Cream Stamp Set, in Pear Pizzazz Ink, and my clean & simple card was complete. Isn’t the font great?

Chickens say they are the best animal on the planet. If you don’t believe it, just ask them. Do cats or dogs give you eggs? No! I couldn’t argue with that, so agreed to let them be featured on an “animal” themed card.
Hey, Chick!
The Hey Chick! Stamp Set has really cute chickens, which I stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. This was followed by perfect cutting with their Chick Dies. Then, I used Stampin’ Blends for coloring in three colors: Crumb Cake, Pumpkin Pie, and Poppy Parade.
Before attaching the Chicks with Dimensionals, I prepared their background. The card base is Crumb Cake Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″ with a layer of Fine Art Floral Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and a top layer of Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″.
The fabulous, fence was created with a Chicks Die and Crumb Cake Cardstock.
I stamped the sentiments “hey, chick!” and “have a happy day!” in Memento Black Ink, and used a Chick Die for cutting the cute sign.

It’s so much fun playing with color, and this week’s Global Design Project combines Magenta Madness, Coastal Cabana, and Bumblebee. How do you like this bright combination?
Dandy Wishes
I began with a Coastal Cabana card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used the largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut a layer of Brights 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in a Coastal Cabana Dot.
Next, I used the third largest Stitched Rectangles Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, which I framed with a 1/16″ border of Magenta Madness.
Before gluing the layers to the card base, I embossed the Basic White, top layer, with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder for some texture.
Now for the fun plant! This great die is in the Dandy Wishes Die Set, which I used to cut the three colors of cardstock: Thick Basic White, Bumblebee, and Magenta Madness.
You can see the die in the first picture, and the complete set in my Product List below. I attached the plants with glue on the stems, up to the base of the plants, leaving the tops free.
At the spot where the plants gathered, I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals. “Celebrate” was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die.
The sentiment is from a favorite, retiring stamp set, Itty Bitty Greetings, and the In Color Enamel Dots have already retired, but I HAD to use them.

Today’s slimline card has a design that emphasizes its length. It seems extra long, doesn’t it?
Dragonfly Slimline
I began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8″ X 7″, folded at 3 1/2″. Then, I layered it with a gorgeous piece of Fine Art Floral Designer Paper, 3 1/4″ X 7 3/4″.
Next, I cut two strips of Basic White Cardstock, 1″ X 5 1/4″ and 3/4″ X 3 3/4″, and gave them texture with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder.
I layered them on Mossy Meadow Cardstock 1/8″ larger, giving them a 1/16″ border. This gives some contrast with the white, and highlights the leaves in the pretty paper.
The sentiment, “thank you,” is from the Welcoming Window Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink, and cut with a Painted Labels Die. After gluing the layers together, I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals.
Last, but not least, the dragonfly. It was easily punched from Dandy Garden Designer Paper with the Dragonflies Punch. How fun is that! I punched a second dragonfly from cardstock, to layer it for thickness, before attaching it with Dimensionals.

I can’t stop looking at the beautiful, new, Pansy Petals Designer Paper, and had to make a card combining it with the retiring, Quite Curvy Bundle. What do you think?
Curvy Pansy Petals
This card is clean & simple, and came together quickly. I started with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I used a Curvy Die to cut the striped, Pansy Petals, 5 1/2″ X 1 1/2″. The same die was used to cut the floral, Pansy Petals, 5 1/2″ X 2 1/2″.
You can trim the straight edges, if you want more space in the middle. Make sense?
Before gluing the curved designer paper to the card base, I stamped the sentiment from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set. Using the Stamparatus, I positioned the curved sentiment to fit the bottom curve. Once on the lid, I moved the sentiment to an even better fit, before inking it with the new In Color, Evening Evergreen Ink. Don’t you love curved sentiments?
The large pansy was cut from the Pansy Petals Designer Paper with a Pansy Die. I used another Pansy Die to cut the leaves from the new color cardstock, Soft Succulent. It’s great how the leaf die embosses and cuts at the same time.
After gluing the leaves to the flower, I attached it to the card front with Dimensionals, and my clean & simple card was complete.
