Today’s card was created with “vintage” in mind, and the Ornate Layers Dies are perfect for that lacy feel.

Vintage Lace
The card base is Petal Pink, followed by a layer of Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die. The next layer is Petal Pink in a pattern of Subtles 6″X6″ Designer Paper, cut with the next largest Ornate Layers Die.

I used the third largest Ornate layers Die to cut the top layer from Basic White Cardstock.
Prior to cutting, I stamped the sentiment, “You are the happy to my day,” in Crumb Cake Ink. This is from a favorite, retiring, stamp set, Country Home. Clicking on “Last Chance Products” below, will take you to the list of retiring products.

For a little something extra, I added a bee and pearls. The bee is from the Garden Wishes Stamp Set, stamped in Crumb Cake Ink, cut with a Dandy Wishes Die, and attached with a Dimensional. The pearls are self-sticking, and easily attached. You can see all of the supplies in my product List below.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Poppies and butterflies came together for today’s friendship card. I always like bright colors combined with black & white.
One of Stampin’ Up’s brightest colors is Magenta Madness, and that’s what I chose for the card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Poppies and Butterflies
Next, I stamped a row of poppies on Basic White Cardstock (5 1/4″ X 4″) using a Painted Poppies stamp and Memento Black Ink. The Stamparatus came in handy to insure the row was even, and dark enough.
While I was using the Stamparatus, I stamped the sentiment from the Welcoming Window Stamp Set, and used an Ornate Layers Die for cutting. Then, I cut a piece of True Love Designer Paper 1/8″ larger to give it a 1/16″ border. The row of poppies, and length of the sentiment, makes it feel like there’s a path, doesn’t it?

Now for the three, bright butterflies! This is the smallest of the Brilliant Wings butterflies that has a matching “frame.” It’s the one in the top, right corner. I placed a small piece of designer paper beneath the one butterfly, because I didn’t need to cut out all the butterflies for this project.
Two designer papers were used for cutting the butterflies: 2020-2022 In Color 6X6″ in Magenta Madness, and Fine Art Floral Designer Paper in Pumpkin Pie and Flirty Flamingo. I glued the butterflies together, just at the body, and attached them with Dimensionals. You can see the designer papers in my Product List below.

This week at Global Design Project, we are casing Manuela Geiswinkler, and I used one of my favorite sets, Painted Poppies, with her layout and colors.

Painted Poppies
Here is Manuela’s card, using the Snailed It Bundle. I love how the snail is in the vellum envelope! Check out the other projects, then join us in casing Manuela!

I began with a Thick Basic White card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″), topped with angled, Neutrals 6 X 6 Designer Paper (3 3/4″ X 5″) in Night Of Navy.
The Basic White Cardstock, angled on top ( 3 1/2″ X 4 3/4″) was embossed with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is retiring the end of May, so get it now while it’s still available.

Next, I stamped the flowers from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set in Night Of Navy Ink on Basic White Cardstock. I colored them with Petal Pink ink and a “splotch” stamp in the set, and they were easily cut with Painted Labels Dies. You can see the two dies in the first picture, and in my Product List below.
Then, I cut the leaves from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock with two Poppy Moments Dies. The smaller flower and leaves were glued flat, and the larger flower was attached with Dimensionals.

“Hey, friend” is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, stamped in Night Of Navy Ink, and cut with the smallest Stitched So Sweetly Die. I attached the sentiment with Dimensionals, added three Pearl Basic Jewels, and my project was complete.

Pansy Patch just might be the #1 pick in the entire 2021-2022 Annual Catalog! I pre-ordered the entire suite, and today’s card just gives you a tiny peek at all it has to offer.

Pansy Patch
The pansies and leaves you see were cut directly from the Designer Paper, using the Pansy Dies. This is a dream come true for those who don’t enjoy coloring, and look at the gorgeous colors! Yes, you are looking at some new In-Colors, which I’ll elaborate on in another post.
I must add, the stamp set has 23 stamps, so those who like to stamp and color, can do so to their heart’s content.

After cutting the 9 pansies and 6 leaves from the paper, I arranged them in three rows. Each pansy received a Dimensional, and 6 pansies received a leaf, attached with a Mini Dimensional. Then, I attached them to a background of Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″), embossed with the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.

The card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″) is a fabulous dark green. Okay, I’ll tell you, it’s Evening Evergreen, one of the 5 new In Colors.
I used Evening Evergreen Ink for the sentiment, also. “Thank you” is from the Pansy Patch Stamp Set, and cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die.

My layout is from Freshly made Sketches.

If you like silhouettes on cards, the Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set is one you have to get, before it retires the end of May. One of my favorite images is the swinging girl. You can see the complete set in my Product List below.

This card has lots of dimension, and begins with a Misty Moonlight card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The blue & white stripe is Dandy Garden Designer Paper, cut 1/16″ smaller than the card front. The floral paper is also Dandy Garden, cut 3 3/4 X 5 3/8″, and backed with cardstock for thickness.
After gluing the floral paper and cardstock together, I used a Layering Ovals Die ( 2 3/4″ across) to cut a hole in the middle, a little closer to the top. Then, I added lots of Foam Adhesive Strips to the back, and attached it to the card front.

Next, I stamped the swinging girl, from the Silhouette Scenes Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink, on Basic White Cardstock, using the Stamparatus to insure good stamping. After cutting, and adding pieces of Foam Adhesive Strips, I attached her inside the oval. I used Foam Adhesive Strips, because they are twice as high as Dimensionals, and I wanted her to be the same elevation as the floral paper.

“Happy Day” is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, stamped in Versamark on Misty Moonlight Cardstock, sprinkled with White Embossing Powder, and set with the Heat Tool. I used the smallest Stitched So Sweetly Die for cutting the label, and the bee was cut from another pattern of Dandy Garden Designer Paper.
The Layering Oval Dies, and the Itty Bitty Greeting Stamp Set, are also retiring the end of May, and the Dandy Garden Designer Paper is retiring the end of June. So, get them while you can.

I was inspired by Fab Friday.

Your 2021-2022 Annual catalogs should be arriving soon, so today’s card is a sneak peek of one of my favorites. Because I was able to pre-order the Quiet Meadow Bundle, I jumped on it!

April Showers
It’s always exciting to play with new product, and a color challenge can add to creative thinking.

I began with a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, topped with Neutrals 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper, cut 1/8″ smaller than the card front.
The first Meadow die-cut was used as a stencil, with Misty Moonlight Ink and a Blending Brush, on Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″. I used a second die to cut a branch from Thick Basic White Cardstock, and glued it to the right of the stenciled plant. The third die was used to cut a butterfly from Thick Basic White Cardstock, colored with Merry Merlot Ink and A Blending Brush, and attached with Dimensionals.

The sentiment, “Thinking of You” is from the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set, stamped in Crumb Cake Ink, and cut with a Meadow Die. I used those cute, little holes to tie on the tag with Linen Thread. The tag is actually attached with Dimensionals, and two strands of Linen Thread are taped to the back.
I almost forgot to tell you, the Misty Moonlight dots were created with a Quiet Meadow Stamp, a neat way to add some splash. And, the new catalog has Clear Epoxy Raindrop Shapes, so I brought mine out of retirement.
This is just a hint of what the Quiet Meadow Bundle has to offer, and I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek. I should also tell you, the Meadow Dies works well with the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, which I included in my Product List below.

I was inspired by the Paper Players.
