Bunny Announces LAST CHANCE Retiring items and Sale!

This is an exciting day! Stampin’ Up’s 2020-2021 Annual Catalog is retiring, and that means you’ll get to see the Last Chance items, as well as some that are on sale. Many will go quickly, so order right away to avoid being disappointed. Click here to see the list at my store, available March 24, 1:00 PM Mountain Time.

Now, for today’s card, my favorite, Springtime Joy bunny. She was stamped in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and colored with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. Bunny wanted her head piece to stand out, so I fussy cut a second one. Prior to attaching it with a tiny strip of Dimensional, I colored it with Stampin’ Blends in three colors: Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Granny Apple Green.

Bunny’s background is Fine Art Floral Designer Paper, cut with the second largest Stitched Rectangles Die, and glued to a Blushing Bride card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Easter Bunny

Next, I stamped “Wishing you the blessings of …,” and “Easter,” in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with two Stitched Rectangles Dies.

The smallest Stitched Rectangles Die was longer than I wanted for the word “Easter,” so I’ll show you how I shortened it, below. A picture is worth a thousand words, right?

Bunny’s eggs were made with a Birds & More Die and three colors of cardstock: So Saffron, Blushing Bride, and Basic White. Bunny is quite proud of her collection of eggs.

I was inspired by Fusion.

Springtime Joy Lamby

I love the adorable animals in the Springtime Joy Stamp Set, and Lamby is featured with a stenciling technique on this clean-and-simple card.

By Su Mohr for PP; Click aromasandart to go to my web site for details! Featuring: Springtime Joy Stamp Set, Bird & More Dies, Stampin' Blends; #springtimejoy #birds&more #eastercards #lambs #lambsoncards #stampinup #stencilingtechnique #stenciling #cardtechniques #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #sumohr #aromasandart

Lamby

I began by using the circular, Birds & More Die to cut the shape from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I placed my “stencil” on Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″), and used a Blending Brush to apply ink in Granny Apple Green and Just Jade.

Next, I used a second, Birds & More Die, to cut a 4″ decorative strip from Basic White Cardstock, and glued the strip to the stenciled layer. After stamping the sentiment, I glued the layer to a Granny Apple Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“May the new life of Spring bring you joy” is from the Springtime Joy Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink.

Last, but not least, Lamby. I stamped Lamby in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and colored her with Stampin’ Blends: Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, and Smoky Slate.

I used a Scan & Cut for cutting, and you can see some holes were accidentally cut in her middle. She thought they added character, so she was happy.

Lamby was attached with Dimensionals, and my clean-and-simple card was complete.

I was inspired by the Paper Players.

Butterfly Brilliance For GDP 284

This week’s Global Design Project is to case Krista Frattin. I chose the Butterfly Brilliance Collection for my design, along with some items from the Simple Succulents Bundle. Both are pictured in my Product List below.

By Su Mohr for GDP 284; Click aromasandart to go to my web site for details! Featuring: Brilliant Wings Dies, Simply Succulents Stamp Set, Potted Succulents Dies, Ornate Frames Dies, Subtle Textured embossing Natural Touch Specialty paper Butterfly Bijou Designer Paper; #butterflies #butterflybrilliance #butterfliesoncards #caseingcards #thankyoucards #cardchallenges #handmadecards #handcrafted #cardmaking #diy #papercrafting #sumohr #aromasandart

Butterfly Kaleidoscope

After seeing Krista’s card, and those of the other designers, please join us by adding your card to our gallery. We would love to see you there!

I began by using two Brilliant Wings Dies to cut 12 butterflies from Butterfly Bijou Designer Paper; six large and six small. Then, I glued them to Basic White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″) in an alternating pattern to mimic Krista’s design.

I thought it would be fun to make the butterflies look like they were embedded in the paper, so I ran them through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder. I like how it looks, do you?

Next, I glued my butterfly layer to a Seaside Spray card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The Seaside Spray gingham strip was cut with an Ornate Layers Die. This pattern is from retired 6X6 In Color Designer Paper, but the newer patterns are still available. However, keep in mind, the 2019-2021 In Colors are retiring March 24th, and all of the products in these colors are only available while supplies last. This includes the five In Colors: Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock, and Purple Posy, so order in March before they are gone forever.

I used a Potted Succulents Die to cut two, smaller, strips; one from Seaside Spray and one from Natural Touch Specialty Paper. The Natural Touch Specialty paper is the paper I also used for photography.

The sentiment, “thanks” is from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set, stamped in Seaside Spray, and cut with a Potted Succulents Die.

The pretty, white, butterfly was cut with a Brilliant Wings Die, and glued at its body, leaving its wings free.

I just discovered that the Butterfly Bijou Designer Paper has sold-out. It was a “while supplies last” item, so this is a lesson: if you love it, order it ASAP. It’s impossible for Stampin’ Up! to predict the demand for some items.

“You’ve been On My Mind”

The large Potted Succulents Die is fabulous, and today’s card combines it with butterflies.

By Su Mohr for TGIF; Click aromasandart to go to my web site for details! Featuring: Simply Succulents Stamp Set, Potted Succulents Dies, Brilliant Wings Dies, Fine Art Floral Designer Paper; #brilliantwings #simplysucculents #pottedsucculents #succulents #succulentsoncards #butterflies #butterfliesoncards #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #sumohr #aromasandart #stampinup #cardsketches On my mind

On My Mind

The large Potted Succulents Die will fill the entire card front, so I used a 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ piece of basic White Cardstock for cutting. Then, I trimmed all four sides, making a tiny border. I used tiny dots of Liquid Glue to adhere it to the Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Next, I used a second Potted Succulents Die to cut the blue background from Fine Art Floral Designer Paper, and layered it for thickness.

If you look at the bundle in my Product List below, it’s the die that cuts out the large group of succulents. But, I think it also makes a nice background, don’t you?

“You’ve been on my mind” is from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, cut with a third Potted Succulents Die, and attached with Mini Dimensionals.

The butterflies were cut with a Brilliant Wings Die from Fine Art Floral Designer, and glued at their bodies, leaving their wings free. Each received a Whale Of A Time Sequin, and my card was complete.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Hey Chick On A Square Card

I’ve always liked orange and pink together, maybe because it makes me think of a gorgeous sunset. Anyway, Hey Chick decided these were the colors she wanted for her square card.

By Su Mohr for FMS; Click aromasandart to go to my web site for details! Featuring: Hey Chick Stamp Set, Chick Dies, Snail Dies, Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, True Love Paper, Fine Art Floral Paper; #heychick #chickensoncards #squarecards #cardinstruction #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #sumohr #aromasandart #cardchallenges #carddesign

Hey Chick

The card base is Thick Basic White, 8 1/2″ X 4 1/4″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I cut a 4″ X 4″ square of Fine Art Floral Designer Paper, cut it in half, and glued the two triangles to the square card base.

Next, I cut the middle square, using a Snail Die, from True Love Designer Paper in my favorite little dot.

Hey Chick was stamped in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Chick Die. The Hey Chick Stamp Set and Chick Dies can be ordered separately, or together in a bundle, and they are in my Product List below.

I colored the chick with three colors of Stampin’ Blends: Mango Melody, Pumpkin Pie, and Flirty Flamingo.

“A little hello” is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with the cute, Chick Die, sign. I brushed the edges with Calypso Coral Ink before attaching it with Dimensionals.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Saying “hello” with Snail Mail

I have grown fond of the big-eyed snails in the Snailed It Stamp Set, and don’t you think it’s cute in this Forever Greenery habitat?

By Su Mohr for Fab Fri; Click aromasandart to go to my web site for details; Featuring: Snailed It Stamp Set, Snail Dies, Floral Gallery Dies, Forever Greenery Designer Paper, Stampin' Blends; #snailedit #snaildies #snails #snailsoncards #snailmail #happymail #stampinup #forevergreenery #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking #papercrafting #sumohr #aromasandart #stampinblends #cardsketches #cardchallenges #cardinstruction #cardinspiration

Snail “hello”

I began by stamping a snail from the Snailed It Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I colored it with three colors of Stampin’ Blends: Soft Suede, Old Olive, and Soft Sea Foam. The snail was easily cut with its Snail Die. You can order the stamp set and dies separately, but you’ll save 10% buying the bundle. I have it pictured both ways in my Product List below.

Next, I attached the snail with Dimensionals to a Basic White square of cardstock I cut with a Snail Die.

The background is Forever Greenery Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″, glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

To mimic the perforated edge of the snail’s white square, I used a Floral Gallery Die for the sentiment, and the decorative little piece below it (Forever Greenery Designer Paper).

“hello” is from the Snailed it Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and attached with Dimensionals.

I was inspired by Fab Friday.
