This Sunflower Dies are fabulous, and I had to try them with Fine Art Floral Designer Paper.
Fine Art SunFlower
I knew I wanted white as a background, to highlight the sunflower, so I cut a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This was topped with a layer of Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″, embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
Next, I used a Stitched Rectangles Die (3″ X 4 1/4″) to cut Basic White Cardstock, and layered it on Balmy Blue Cardstock, 1/8″ larger, giving it a 1/16″ border.
The sunflower began with the beautiful Fine Art Floral Designer Paper, cut with the “solid” Sunflowers Die. Then, I cut the “frame” from Thick Basic White Cardstock, and glued the two pieces at the center, leaving the petals free.
Prior to attaching the sunflower with Dimensionals, I used the smaller circle die in the set, to cut the center from Brushed Metallic Cardstock.
The sentiment, “you’re amazing,” is from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set, stamped in Balmy Blue Ink, and cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die.
The little, stylized, bird was cut with a Well Written Die from Fine Art Floral Designer Paper, and attached with a Dimensional.

Today’s card is a CASE (copy and share everything) of a card on page 23 of Stampin’ Up’s January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.
Curvy CASE
When you need inspiration, look no further than a Stampin’ Up! catalog. There you will find oodles of samples. Send me an email, if you live in the USA, and would like a catalog.
I was inspired by TGIF’s challenge, catalog inspiration.
I began with a 4″ X 5 1/4″ piece of basic White Cardstock, and used a Curvy Die to make two cuts. I looked at the sample in the catalog to judge the space I wanted in the middle.
There were many choices of designer paper to highlight in the middle. Rather than hydrangeas, I chose a piece of my favorite, Berry Delightful Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″.

After gluing the white, curved, pieces to the strawberry paper, I glued this to a Garden Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I positioned the sentiment from the Quite Curvy Stamp Set on my Stamparatus, and stamped, “thinking of you makes my day,” in Garden Green Ink. In retrospect, I should have done this before any gluing, and was relieved it stamped nicely.
I cut a strawberry and leaf from the designer paper, and attached them with Dimensionals. Then, an adorable ladybug landed right on my project, and much too cute to shoo away. Don’t you think? Plus, I’ve always heard that ladybugs bring good luck.
Shhhh, she’s secure on a Glue Dot.

If you haven’t guessed, Friends Are Like Seashells, is a favorite of mine from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. A digital copy of the catalog can be viewed by clicking on its picture, found on the right side of this page, under my profile photo.
Seaside Seashells
This weeks Global Design Project is to case the designer, Connie Collins. Her card is wonderful, and I think you can see how I used her color scheme and basic layout. We’d love for you to join in the fun, and post your card in the gallery.
I began my card with a Seaside Spray card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 /14″. Then, I layered it with Misty Moonlight Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″, topped with Sand & Sea Designer Paper, cut 1/8″ smaller. This designer paper is fabulous, and you can see all the patterns by clicking on the picture in my Product List below.
The Seaside Seashell Die was used to cut the seaweed from a small piece of Silver Foil, just covering the section of the die I needed. After a small bit of snipping, I glued the silver seaweed to the card front.
The shells, from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set, were stamped in two colors of ink on Basic White Cardstock. The largest shell was stamped in Gorgeous Grape, and the smallest shell was “stamped off” in Gorgeous Grape, making it a lighter shade. This means I stamped it in full strength on scrap paper, and without re-inking, I stamped it on the Basic White Cardstock. The sand dollar was stamped in Misty Moonlight.
Once stamped, I used Paper Snips to cut the shells by hand, otherwise known as “fussy cutting.” If you’re afraid to fussy cut, this set is a great starting point, because it’s hard to go wrong with shells. You can cut along the line, or leave a small white border, as I did on this project.
After cutting the shells, I attached the large shell, and sand dollar, with Dimensionals, and glued the small shell flat.
“I’m so glad I found you” is from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set, stamped in Seaside Spray Ink on Basic White Cardstock, 2 1/2″ X 1/4″. I glued the left half on top of the shell, and the right half is on a thin piece of Dimensional I trimmed from the edge.
Three Opal Rounds were added as a final touch. Aren’t they pretty?

I have a girlfriend who loves snails, and she actually feeds them! I’ll admit, the snail in this month’s “Sending Hearts” Paper Pumpkin Kit is really cute.
If you aren’t a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, and you missed out on this month’s kit, I have good news: It coordinates with the Snail Mail Suite in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog, pages 54-55. I have the Snailed It Bundle in my Product List, so you can see the details. Maybe you’ll become a snail lover too?
Snail Mail
I began today’s alternative Paper Pumpkin card by using a Stitched Be Mine Die to cut the heart from a Petal Pink card base in the kit.
Next, I used an Ornate Layers Die to cut the fancy rectangle from Basic White Cardstock. Before gluing it to the Sahara Sand card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″), I embossed the rectangle with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. I thought I might as well feed the snail some flowers, like my friend does.
Now for the snail, a “Sending Hearts” stamp in the kit, was stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut from Thick Basic White Cardstock. I used Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends for coloring, and placed her on Dimensionals that come in the kit.
Then, I stamped “hi valentine!,” from the kit, in Memento Black Ink, and cut the words with the bubble label from the Special Day Dies Set. This caused the snail to speak, and she requested a tiny enamel heart, from the kit, be placed on the label.
I’ll be sending this talking snail to my friend soon, in time for Valentine’s Day!

Succulents are plentiful in San Diego outdoor gardens. Now, you can have an abundance of paper succulents, no matter where you live!
Potted Succulents
Today’s card began with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
I used a Potted Succulents Die to cut three rectangles from Thick Basic White Cardstock, and attached them with Mini Dimensionals. There are other, fabulous, stitched label dies in this set, which you can see in my Product List below.
One of the great things about using Dimensionals vs. glue is that mistakes can be easily corrected. For instance, if one of the rectangles was slightly crooked, I could snip it free with scissors, roll the Dimensionals off with my fingers, and start over. Believe me, I’ve done this plenty of times!
The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, layered on a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing the layer to the card base, I stamped “Kind people are my kind of people.”
The sentiment is from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss Ink. I used my Stamparatus to make sure it was straight.
Now, for the fun succulents. I stamped the images in VersaMark, several times, on Basic White Cardstock, sprinkling with Clear Embossing Powder, and setting with the Heat Tool. Then, I brushed across the images with Stampin’ Blends in several colors: Cajun Craze, Mossy Meadow, Old Olive, Rococo Rose, and Blackberry Bliss.
I used the Potted Succulents Dies for cutting. Sometimes it takes a while to match the die to your stamped image, so it’s helpful to stamp your images in the same direction every time. After cutting, I started planning my arrangement.
More succulents were needed to fill in the pot. So, I brushed two shades of Stampin’ Blends greens across Basic White Cardstock, and used two additional Potted Succulents Dies for cutting. Now my pot feels complete.

For today’s card, I’m letting the Fine Art Floral Designer Paper take center stage.
Fine Art Floral
The Fine Art Floral Designer Paper is very unique, yet easy to create a card using it as the focal point. Isn’t the photography of this hand-painted paper amazing?
I cut two rectangles, the floral and its blue (Pool Party), reverse side, with a 4″ X 2 1/2″ Stitched Rectangles Die. Then, I backed both with cardstock for thickness.
Beneath the two rectangles is a layer of Smoky Slate Cardstock, cut with the largest Stitched Rectangles Die, and embossed with the Old World Paper Embossing Folder.
The three layers are glued to a Smoky Slate card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Prior to gluing the layers to the card base, I tied the floral layer with Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. Now I’m laughing, seeing how it matches the embossed background.
The last step was adding the sentiment, Thinking of you,” from the Art Gallery Stamp Set. I stamped it in Basic Gray Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Floral Gallery Die, and attached it with Mini Dimensionals. I love the perforated edge of this label!
