This card was “quick & easy” with the Free As A Bird Stamp Set. I have birds on my mind, because I’ll be receiving the new bird stamp set with dies from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog tomorrow. If you like birds, you will love it, and I can’t wait to give you a sneak peek as soon as possible!

Framed Birds
I began today’s card by stamping the bird image in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Then, I used Stampin’ Blends for coloring: Light and Dark Crumb Cake, Light and Dark Granny Apple Green & Light and Dark Pool Party. A Melon Mambo Stampin’ Write marker was used to color the flowers.

After coloring, I used an Ornate Layers Die for cutting, which gave the birds a pretty frame. Don’t you think?

To add some texture to the Thick Whisper White card base, I embossed the card front with the Scripty Embossing Folder.
“Thank you” is from the Free As A Bird Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink.

I was inspired by the colors at the Paper Players.

I began today’s birthday card with some of my favorite, retiring, designer paper, Pressed Petals. This paper blends beautifully with Very Vanilla, so that’s what I chose for the card base.
Incidentally, the music paper I used for photographing is one of the Pressed Petals designs.

Pressed Petals on Burlap
I layered the Thick Very Vanilla card base with paper that looks just like burlap, cut with an Ornate Layers Die.
If you love this paper as much as I do, order it now while it’s still available. You can click on the picture in my Product List below to see all of the designs in the pack. It has 24 sheets, twice as many as the regular amount of 12.
Next, I used a Layering Squares Die to cut a square of Very Vanilla Cardstock, embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. This embossing folder is my Host Code gift for the month of May. Read below to see how you can make it yours.

To add a”lacey” feel to the square, I used an Ornate Frames Die, cut from Mossy Meadow Cardstock. Then, I cut the shape in half, and glued the halves to the top and bottom of the square.
For additional “real” lace, I used Scalloped Lace Trim, which is attached with tiny dots of Liquid Glue.

I layered the square with a rectangle of Pressed Petals DSP, cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die.
The sentiment, “Happy Birthday,” is from the Special Someone Stamp Set, stamped in Mossy Meadow Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die.

My layout was inspired by TGIF.

The theme for this month’s Kre8tor’s Blog Hop is flowers, and eliminating my choices was the hard part. I decided to experiment with Ornate Garden Designer Paper using my Paper Snips.
Fussy cutting two large, and three small, flowers from the beautiful gold & white DSP was easier than anticipated. Then, I colored the two large flowers with Stampin’ Blends in Light Rococo Rose and Light Flirty Flamingo. The centers of all five flowers were colored with a Bronze Stampin’ Blend.
You can see all of my supplies in the Product List at the bottom of my post.
TIP: It’s fun, and easy, coloring the flowers, because the gold lines resist the ink.

Flowers of Gold
The background is Whisper White Cardstock, cut with a rectangular Nature’s Thoughts Die. This is on a layer of Ornate Garden DSP, cut with an Ornate Layers Die, and adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base. I love the detailed edges.
TIP: I’m a tidy person, and I don’t like the tiny dots to go all over the place; okay I’m obsessive compulsive. Anyway, I simply hold the die over my waste basket and use the Die Brush to remove the dots.

The sprigs were cut with a Nature’s Thoughts Die from Gold Foil. Matching the sprigs in Gold Foil is “thanks,” cut with a Well Written Die. Before attaching “thanks,” I wrapped a piece of Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the white rectangle, tied a knot, and frayed the ends.

By the way, this is my Mother’s Day card from my husband. He selects his favorite cards from my stash, and gives them to me. He knows I’d freak out if he bought a Hallmark card, so he solved the problem. LOL!
My layout was inspired by Fab Friday.

Today’s card was created with the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set and the Small Bloom Punch. Would you like to own this stamp set and punch? See the details at the bottom of this post to learn how you have a chance to make it yours for FREE.

Framed Thoughtfulness
I began by stamping the two flowers in Poppy Parade Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and cutting with the Small Bloom Punch.

Next, I stamped the vine in Old Olive Ink on a Whisper White Cardstock layer, along with the horizontal design in Soft Suede Ink. Then, I embossed this layer with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder, and adhered it to a Soft Suede card base.

The sentiment from the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set becomes the focal point, stamped in Soft Suede Ink and cut with an Ornate Frames Die. I used a second Ornate Frames Die to cut the frame from Soft Suede Cardstock.
I completed the design with two little pearls; one for each bloom.

My inspiration for the layout was from CAS(E) this sketch.

Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper goes perfectly with the Poppy Moments Dies. I love this large, see-through poppy!

Poppies For You
I began with a Thick Whisper White card base, topped with a Whisper White layer embossed with the Scripty Embossing folder. Then, I cut two rectangles of Peaceful Poppies DSP using a Stitched So Sweetly Die, and layered them for thickness.

The large, “see-through” poppy was cut from Thick Whisper White Cardstock with a Poppy Moments Die. The leaves and poppy center were cut with dies from the same set.
Next, I brushed the edges of the leaves with a Sponge Dauber and Mossy Meadow Ink.

Finally, I stamped “for you” in Mossy Meadow Ink on the lower leaf, and placed it on Dimensionals.

My inspiration for today’s card was from Freshly Made Sketches.

The ginkgo leaves are from the Beautifully Braided Stamp Set, and a late addition to my collection, but one I wish I’d had months ago! It’s a “Last-Chance” item, so order yours now while it’s still available. There’s a link at the bottom of this post that will take you to the entire list of “Last-Chance” items.

Embossed Ginkgo Leaves
The ginkgo leaves would be fabulous in any color, but I wanted to use the heat embossing technique, and keep it understated, for today’s wedding card.
I placed the ginkgo stamp on the Stamparatus and gave it a good coating of VersaMark, stamping on Thick Whisper White Cardstock.
TIP: I coated the stamp a second time to make sure I got good coverage. The Stamparatus enabled me to stamp this a second time in the exact same spot.
Next, I sprinkled the image with White Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool.

Coloring was so much fun, because the raised lines keep the ink from the Stampin’ Blends contained. I used Light and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, and Soft Suede Ink for the buds.
I stamped the sentiment in the same, Soft Suede Ink, and used a Stitched Rectangles Die for cutting.
TIP: This photo will show you how I was able to make the die-cut narrower, by using a second die.

Before adhering my art piece to the Crumb Cake card base, I tied Linen Thread around, and gave it a little knot.

I was inspired by Global Design Project to create a wedding card.
