Raise your hand if you love birthday cake! And, decorated with gorgeous flowers, who could resist?

3D Birthday Cake
This cake happens to be in a FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Happy Birthday To You. Plus, Stampin’ Up! has recently released “Product Coordination,” available to Demonstrators now, and customers February 4th, which includes Birthday Dies. You can check out the Birthday Dies in my Product List.

Before using my new Birthday Die to cut the cake, I stamped it in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and colored it with four Stampin’ Blends: Light and Dark Rich Razzleberry, Dark Poppy Parade, and Light Old Olive.

The cake stamp already has a stand, which I snipped away, so I could place the cake on its new, die-cut stand. I used Nobel Peacock Foil in Old Olive, so the stand would have nice shine. I glued the stand to the bottom of the cake, and rounded both with my fingers, making it 3D. Placing Foam Adhesive Strips in the center guaranteed it would hold its shape.

For the background, I used a piece of 6X6 Regals Designer Paper, which I cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die. This stripe is from the previous catalog, but you can see the four new patterns in my Product List. I glued this to Old Olive Cardstock, on a Thick Whisper White card base.
“Happy Birthday” is from the Happy Birthday To You Stamp Set, stamped in memento Black Ink, and cut with a Stitched so Sweetly Die.

I’m celebrating with Global Design Project’s theme.

Thank you, Paper Players, for the beautiful colors.

I know it’s early, but this Clubhouse Bundle makes such perfect Father’s Day cards, I had to do it!

Golf Clubs
My inspiration for today’s card was the sketch at TGIF.

This fantastic golf club from the Golf Club Die Set came to mind, and I cut five from Silver Foil. Then, I glued the golf clubs to Seaside Spray Cardstock that I cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die.
I used the second largest Rectangles Stitched Die to cut the background from Whisper White Cardstock. How do you like the embossing? It’s the new Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder, which coordinates with the Clubhouse Bundle. I photographed my card on an argyle design from the Country Club Designer Paper. Isn’t it great how Stampin’ Up! coordinates everything?

“Happy Father’s Day” is from the Clubhouse Stamp Set, stamped in Garden Green ink, and cut with a Golf Clubs Die. The Garden Green Cardstock surrounding it was also cut with a Golf Club Die.
Before gluing the Argyle background to the Thick Whisper White card base, I wound Metallic Silver Thread around the middle, and taped it to the back. To complete the card, I positioned the golf club rectangles on Mini-Dimensionals, and glued the sentiment in the middle.

Thanks for checking out this masculine card. The Clubhouse Bundle is great for birthday cards also, and you can see details of my supplies by clicking on the pictures in my Product List.

I’ve already made several cards with the Special Someone Stamp Set, and I couldn’t wait to make another, using the Special Day Dies that just arrived in the mail.

Raccoon’s Special Day
The first thing I did was stamp the raccoon in Early Espresso Ink (the detailed stamp), followed by Sahara Sand (the solid stamp). This “two-step” stamping is easy to do with the Stamparatus positioning tool.
It was so much fun using the die to cut the raccoon from the Thick Whisper White Cardstock. Then, I stamped the sentiment in early Espresso Ink, and cut it with this really cute “comment” die. Since I have lots of talking animals, I was very excited to discover this die in the new set!

For the background, I combined Bird Ballad Designer Paper with Be Mine Stitched Dies.

Raccoon wanted to complete his sentiment on the inside with “Happy Valentine’s Day.” It’s from the Meant To Be Stamp Set, as well as the small Pool Party hearts, and the heart decorating the envelope flap.
I HAD to try out two more new dies. Isn’t that little bow fantastic? There are 17 dies in the Special Days Die Set, and if you click on the picture in my Product List, you can see all of them.

Raccoon and I thought this week’s CAS(E) this sketch would be great for his Valentine.

Thank you for stopping by. I know Raccoon is very proud of his Valentine, and was excited to share it with you!

When you start with a stamp from the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set, it’s hard to beat simple stamping. I rarely make a card without die-cutting, but this card is just stamps, ink and paper; true #simplestamping.

I began with a Thick Whisper White card base, and a stamp from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set. First, I stamped the “splotch” in Pool Party Ink on scratch paper, then without re-inking, I stamped twice on the card front. Next, I stamped the “splotch” in Soft Sea Foam Ink in the same manner.

The other three stamps I used are from the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set. Both stamp sets are in Stampin’ Up’s 2020 Mini Catalog, available January 3-March 31, as long as supplies last.
I stamped the backward lady and “Thinking of you,” in Mossy Meadow Ink, and the two birds in Pool Party Ink.
TIP: I used four Clear Blocks with the rubber stamps, but you could get by with just using the “D”. For clarity, you can refer to the pictures in my Product List.

“Thinking of You” is the theme at the Sisterhood of Crafters, and I’m adding today’s card to their gallery.

How would you like to add the Beautiful Moments and Painted Poppies stamp sets to your Starter Kit? Now is the best time to join Stampin’ Up! I’d love to be your Demonstrator, and have you on my team.

It’s time to Sale-A-Brate! This is Stampin’ Up’s! three-month promotion, January 3-March 31, when the Lily Pad Dies, the Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set, and Lily Impressions Designer Paper can be yours for FREE.

Water Lilies
I began today’s card with a Coastal Cabana card base, a layer of Bermuda Bay, and topped it with the gorgeous, brushstroke, Lily Impressions Designer Paper.

First, I cut one large lily pad and two smaller ones from Bermuda Bay Cardstock, using the dies from the Lily Pad Die Set.
Second, I used dies from the same set to cut the water lilies, and used a paper-piecing technique. To accomplish this, I cut the two lilies from Noble Peacock Foil, which gives them a nice shine. Then, I cut the lilies a second time, from a piece of red, Lily Impressions Designer Paper. Third, I added tiny dots of glue to the open spaces, placing the petals in the proper space, much like a jigsaw puzzle.
TIP: Using the Take Your Pick Tool simplified filling in the “holes,”because I was able to pick up the tiny petals with the sticky point.

The sentiment, “Sending Hugs,” is from the Perfectly Framed Stamp Set from the Mini Catalog. This set was designed to fit the Ornate Frames Die Set from the 2019 Holiday Catalog. How great is that!
Did you notice the Metallic Baker’s Twine and Sequins? They are from another FREE product that’s being offered during Sale-A-Bration. You can check out the additional colors in my Product List.

I know I have a lot of favorites, but the Timeless Tropical Bundle is among them. My first card using the set was the pineapple, and today’s card features the hibiscus; both prominent, tropical images.

Hibiscus
This flower was really fun to color. I first stamped it in Lovely Lipstick Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, then used three Stampin’ Blends for coloring: Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo, and Dark Mango Melody. Then, I stamped three leaves in Old Olive Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and colored with a Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend.
The fun continued, because the die set, In The Tropics, has two dies for cutting the flower and leaves.

For the background, I embossed Whisper White Cardstock with the Scripty Embossing Folder, and gave it a 1/16th inch border of Basic Black Cardstock. I layered this on a Thick Whisper White card base.

After gluing the leaves to the hibiscus, I placed it on Dimensionals, positioned for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

The sentiment is from the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set, Stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this trip to the tropics! Keep scrolling to see my product List. And, don’t forget, this is the best time to join Stampin’ Up!
