Today’s card is my second sneak peek of the new online exclusive, background stamp, Among The Swallows. This time, I used the “ink to stamp” technique. You need the retired Stamparatus, or Misti Tool for this technique, because you have to stamp multiple times, in the exact same position. I secured Basic White Cardstock to the base of the Stamparatus with magnets, and adhered the self-stick, Among The Swallows Stamp, to the lid. Then, I colored the stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers in five colors: Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Garden Green, Mossy Meadow, and Granny Apple Green. This was done with the side of the brush, and the lid was lowered to the white cardstock many times to complete the images.
“ink to stamp” technique
After coloring, I trimmed the paper to size, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and found the sentiment in the Something Fancy Stamp Set. I stamped “thank you” in Garden Green, and used a Peaceful Season Die for cutting. This was threaded with Natural Tones Linen Thread, and taped to the back of my colored paper. Then, I glued it to a Balmy Blue card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The last detail was adding Iridescent Discs, for a little shine.

The 2024 Artisan Design Team loves Stampin’ Up!’s colors! We have been inspired by pages 132 and 133 in the Annual Catalog and have shared a bit of colorful inspiration with you on Instagram. I’m also sharing my project with you on my blog.
Color Theory
Stampin’ Up! has a new tool, a “Color Coach, “that you’ll be able to order November 5. It’s #166481, so put that number on your list.
For my Christmas card, I chose the color Pretty In Pink, combined with Melon Mambo and Copper Clay. These are analogous colors, side by side on the color wheel.
The background was created with a Winterly Tree Tops die-cut, and a Blending Brush with Pretty In Pink Ink on Basic White Cardstock. The trees are from the Peaceful Evergreen Stamp Set, stamped in Melon Mambo.
Copper Clay Cardstock was used for a 1/16″ border, and three strands of Linen Thread. The sentiment is from the Peaceful Seasons Stamp Set, stamped in Melon Mambo, and cut with a Peaceful Seasons Die.
The tag shows “complementary” colors, Pretty In Pink and Lost Lagoon, which are opposite on the wheel.
I created the tag with Country Birdhouse Dies, and a checked pattern from Lily Pond Lane Designer Paper. After backing it with Basic White Cardstock, I cut the roof and ledge from Pretty In Pink Cardstock and Basic White Cardstock.
Before attaching the ledge with Dimensionals, I stamped “Love from my home to yours.” The sentiment is from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set.
I used a Country Birdhouse stamp and Memento Black Ink to stamp the bird on Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper.

I think you’re going to love this new, Online Exclusive, Among The Swallows. It’s a red rubber stamp that covers a card front, and offers lots of technique versatility. You’ll be able to order it November 5, and its number is 164561.
For today’s card, I simply stamped it in Garden Green Ink on Basic Beige Cardstock. After trimming it to size to 3 1/2″ X 4 3/4″, I backed it with Garden Green Cardstock 1/8″ larger. This gave it a 1/16″ border for definition. I attached this, with Dimensionals, to Country Lane Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″, which I glued to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Among The Swallows
The sentiment is from the Courage & faith Stamp Set, stamped in Garden Green Ink. After stamping, I used a Countryside Corners Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. The last detail was adding three, Brushed Brass Butterflies. More ideas will be coming soon!

When I saw this week’s TGIF sketch challenge (scroll down to see), I thought of using the fabulous, Frames and Flowers Specialty Paper. I began by cutting three “holes,” using a Perennial Postage Die, in Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. The “holes” made “windows” for the designer paper to show through the white cardstock.

Next, I stamped “thanks,” from the Saying Hey Stampin Set, in Lost Lagoon Ink. Then, I gave the entire piece texture with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder, and glued it to a Lost Lagoon card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The eucalyptus branches were easy to apply with Dimensionals, after punching them from the sheets that come in the Frames & Flowers Specialty Paper Pack. That’s what makes this paper very special! The final detail was adding three Blooming Pearls.

This week’s Global Design Project is a theme: “autumn harvest.” I chose to feature juicy, red, apples, created with a Choose Happy Stamp. First, I stamped the apple five times, in Memento Black Ink, on Basic White Cardstock. Second, I used three Stampin’ Blends for coloring: Real Red, Pecan Pie, and Mossy Meadow. Third, I used Paper Snips for fussy cutting, and placed them on Dimensionals. Beneath the apples are leaves, cut with a Citrus Blooms Die from Season Of Elegance Designer Paper.
Apple Harvest Time
The background was created with Season Of Elegance Paper, cut with a Citrus Blooms Die, and embossed with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder. It was glued to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
“Fall” was created with the Mini Alphabet Die, Season Of Elegance Designer Paper, and Foam Adhesive Sheets. To complete the sentiment, I stamped “is in the air,” from the Peaceful Season Stamp Set, in Mossy Meadow Ink on Season Of Elegance DSP. After stamping, I used its Peaceful Season Die for cutting, and glued it in place.
To match the gold in “fall,” I added three Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems.
