The Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper is gorgeous, and today’s card shows it in a 3″ circle. I used a Deckled Circles Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals. Then, I used the same die to cut a circle in Basic White Cardstock, 4 ” X 5 1/4″.

Circle of Zinnias
Did you know that photopolymer stamps can bend to fit a curved shape? For this design, I used a long, Wonderful Thoughts stamp, to fit around a Deckled circle. To Accomplish this, I placed the Deckled Circles Die on a Clear Block, then “stuck” the sentiment next to the circle’s edge. After stamping, “You’re wonderful, you’re loved, you matter,” in Memento Black Ink, I stamped it on the card front. I also stamped “Hi friend,” from the same stamp set, at the top of the circle.

After stamping the sentiment, I embossed the Basic White Cardstock with the Zinnia Embossing Folder. Then, I glued it to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, and attached the circle of zinnias.

The last step was adding a bow of Black & White Gingham Ribbon. I cut the ribbon in half to make a thinner bow, and attached it with a Glue Dot. I love the combo of black, white, and bright, don’t you?

This week’s Global Design Project is a theme: Easter
Everyone needs an Easter Bunny Punch! He loves being cut from different designer papers; a Perennial Lavender gingham for this Easter card. After layering him for thickness, I placed him on Dimensionals.

Gingham Bunny
If you don’t recognize his background, it’s because it’s from a brand new set, Magnolia Mood! It will be available tomorrow, March 5, in Online Exclusives, along with many new products! A large die was used to cut the magnolia flower and leaves from Perennial Lavender DSP in Pretty Peacock.

A small die was used to cut the buds from Perennial Lavender DSP in Gorgeous Grape. I glued these to Basic White Cardstock, 3 5/8″ X 4 7/8″, which I glued to Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″. Both layers were glued to a Pretty Peacock card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ folded at 4 1/4″.

Prior to gluing, I stamped “Happy Easter” in Gorgeous Grape Ink. This sentiment is from the Throughout The Year Stamp Set.
I couldn’t complete the card without adding three, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems!

Hello March! I love March for many reasons; my two-month sojourn in Palm Desert, Daylight Savings, the beginning of Spring, and Stampin’ Up! OnStage in Houston, to name a few. I hope you’ll visit often, because my card making will continue, even though I’m out of town.
For today’s card, I used a current favorite paper from Online Exclusives, Delightful Floral. A Lifetime Of Love Die was used to cut this dainty floral pattern. Don’t you love it? Then, I used the same die to cut solid, Pretty Peacock DSP, for a contrasting fame. The leaves were glued, but I left the ring free to avoid messy glue.

Delightful Floral
The background is Basic White Cardstock with strips of solid Delightful Floral Designer Paper, 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, glued 1/4″ apart. After gluing the strips, I used the largest Deckled Rectangles Dies to cut it to size. This created a perfectly even “uneven” border. LOL!!!

After cutting the border, I used a 3D Basics Embossing Folder for texture. Then, I attached the layer with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “you made my day,” is a favorite from the Cheerful Daisies Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pretty Peacock Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, used a Happy Little Things Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. This label die is one of the new, Online Exclusive products, available March 5th.
To complete the design, I added three, Iridescent Rhinestones.

While playing with the Perennial Postage Dies, I made a fun discovery! The dies could fit together like puzzle pieces! I created today’s card by using nine, Perennial Postage Dies to cut nine pieces of Perennial Lavender Designer Paper.

Layers of Lavender
After cutting, I placed the pieces on Dimensionals, and attached them, according to this photo. Then, the layered, Perennial Postage die-cuts were glued to a Highland Heather card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “thanks,” is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set, cut with it’s Wonderful Thoughts Die. Because of its tiny size, I was able to give it dimension by using a Foam Adhesive Sheet. My design was completed by adding three, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch challenge. See what our designers did with the sketch, then create your own design, and hang it in our gallery.

I first thought of using Stylish Shapes Dies for the two squares and sentiment label. This led to creating a stencil by using the square, 2″ die, to cut a hole in Vellum Cardstock, 4″ X 4″. Then, I placed the Vellum over Basic White Cardstock, 3″ X 4 1/2″. Using a Blending Brush, I filled in the square “holes” with Bubble Bath Ink (top square), and Fresh Freesia Ink (bottom square).

Hearts & Squares
Next, I used the large, Adoring Hearts Die, to cut two hearts from Flight & Airy Designer Paper. I cut two more hearts, from Thick Basic White Cardstock, to layer with the hearts for thickness, and placed the hearts on Dimensionals. Two leaves were also cut from Basic White Cardstock, colored with Blending Brushes and Garden Green Ink, and attached to the hearts.

The sentiment, “love you,” is from the Lifetime Of Love Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, cut with a Stylish Shapes Die, amd attached with Dimensionals.

The background is all white, Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Perennial Postage Die, and a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
