Oh me, oh my! The Simply Zinnia Suite is coming soon to Online Exclusives! Beginning March 5th, you can order this set, along with many other new products. You’ll find the link to my Online Exclusives store below.
If you like bright colors, you will love these beautiful blossoms that can be fussy cut from the Flowering Zinnias Designer Paper. There is also a Simply Zinnia Die Set with lots of die-cutting possibilities.

Hand Cut Zinnias
Included in the Simply Zinnia Suite is the Zinnia Embossing Folder. We all love embossing folders; right? For today’s card, I used it on Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, that I glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I attached my three flowers with Dimensionals.

The sentiment is from the Simply Zinnia Stamp Set. I stamped “Sending flowers and thinking of you,” in Mossy Meadow Ink, and used a Perennial Postage Die for cutting. I made two cuts to get the size I wanted.

Last, but not least, the suite also includes Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins! They come in four colors, and I decided to attach three, green, sequins, to match the leaves.

I made today’s card especially for my granddaughter, Lily, because she has a large, stuffed alligator, named Arty. Lily’s second birthday isn’t until the end of August, but Arty wanted to make this card when you would still be able to order his stamp set. He is in the Jungle Pals Stamp Set that you can earn for free, but only until February 29, when Sale-a-bration ends.
Arty said this would be an easy card, because all I needed to do was stamp him in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and use a Perennial Postage Die for cutting. He thought it looked like he bit the paper with his teeth, and I have to agree. After cutting, Arty said he needed to be green, like Lily’s alligator, so I used three shades of Stampin’ Blends: Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and Mossy Meadow.

Arty’s card for Lily
Next, Arty said the card base needed to be purple, Lily’s favorite color. So, I cut a Highland Heather card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I layered it with Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Perennial Postage Die, for more teeth marks.

Arty wanted Lily’s birthday card to have lots of balloons, which we found in the Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set. I stamped them in three colors of Ink: Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, and Highland Heather, along with a couple strings in Memento Black Ink. This is when I surprised Arty, because I stamped “Happy Birthday” from the Sweetly Scripted Stamp Set. This is a new set that he hadn’t seen, and he thought it was perfect. It will be available in Online Exclusives March 5th, along with many new products!
Arty said he didn’t really like sequins, but thought Lily would, so I should add them. Isn’t he considerate?

Arty is excited to share his card with TGIF.

This week at Global Design Project, we have a color challenge: Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Pumpkin Pie. The color combo made me think of Easter, and I was excited to use Blending Brushes to color Basic White Cardstock. After admiring the colors, I used Painted Lavender Dies for cutting.

Colors of Easter
Next, I used the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut two rectangles from Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the fifth smallest Deckled Circles Die to cut a hole in one, creating a stencil. Placing the stencil on top of the other rectangle, with the butterfly in the middle, I used a Blending Brush and Daffodil Delight Ink to color the circle. So, the Paper Butterfly was used as a stencil also.

After gluing the Painted Lavender die-cuts in place, I stamped “thinking of you this Easter” in Memento Black Ink. Then, I attached the layer with Dimensionals to Basic White Cardstock, cut with the Largest Deckled Rectangles Die, which had been embossed with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder. The card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

I added three Iridescent Rhinestones as a special touch, and my first Easter card was complete. This sentiment is in the FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set, Heartfelt Hellos. Check it out in my Product List below. Plus, the Paper Butterfly Accents is my Host Code gift this month.

This is my second card using the the Enduring Beauty Decorative Masks, from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog. If you enjoy stenciling, you will love this set! The five masks are numbered in the order to be used, with the colors you choose. This time I chose: 1-Bubble Bath 2-Granny Apple Green 3-Melon Mambo 4-Garden Green 5-Flirty Flamingo.
The masks measure 5″ X 6 5/8″, so I cut Basic White Cardstock the same size. The masks are notched at the top, and this keeps everything perfectly aligned. Starting with mask #1, I held the mask in place with my hand, and used a Blending Brush to apply the ink. Then, I repeated the process for #2 through #5 with the different colors of ink. So fun!

Masking in Pink
Once my bouquet was complete, I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut, and placed it on Dimensionals. A stamp set and dies are available, and you can see everything in my Product List below.
The background was created by cutting a stencil from Basic White Cardstock, using the Dots & Spots Die. Then, I placed the stencil on top of Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and used a Blending Brush to color with Garden Green Ink. This was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“Thinking of you,” was created with the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set, cut with its Wonderful Thoughts Die, and attached with Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark on Basic Black Cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool. Doesn’t the black make the colors pop?

For today’s thank you card, I pulled out one of my favorite sets that I haven’t played with in a while, Textured Floral. I began by randomly stamping a flower in Bubble Bath Ink, and Lemon Lolly Ink, on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used the largest Perennial Postage Die for cutting, and glued it to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Don’t you love this border?

Textured Florals
Next, I stamped the large flower in Bubble Bath Ink, and the leaves in Old Olive Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used their Textured Floral Dies for cutting. I also used a Textured Floral Die to cut the sprigs from Vellum Basics DSP. Believe it, or not, Vellum is quite sturdy, so I only glued a small portion under the flower. The raised sprigs add wonderful dimension. One set of leaves was glued flat, and one was attached on Dimensionals with the flower.

In contrast to the softness is, “Thank you,” from the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Basic Black Cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder, set it with the Heat Tool, and attached it with Dimensionals.
To complete the card, I added three, Iridescent Rhinestones for some sparkle.
