Meet Cupcake, from the Fluffiest Friends Stamp Set, an online exclusive. She was so happy to finally be featured on a card, and very helpful with her suggestions. She thought Crumb Cake fur would be the most flattering, and her cupcake should have Bubble Bath frosting, with a Real Red cherry on top. Plus, she wanted the paper wrapping the cupcake to sparkle, and said I should use Wink Of Stella. Wasn’t that a good idea?

Cupcake the Bunny
Next, Cupcake wanted to sit in a circle, which I cut from Basic White Cardstock with the 5th smallest Deckled Circles Die. We found the perfect sentiment in the Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set, “Let’s get our celebration on.” The circle behind the white circle was cut from Most Adored Designer Paper with the 8th smallest Deckled Circles Die. And, this was layered on Crumb Cake Cardstock, cut with the 9th smallest deckled Circles Die. I think she got her wish to sit in a circle!

Once the circles were attached together, I glued them to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I embossed the card base with the Stripes Embossing Folder.
To complete Cupcake’s card, she said I needed to add three flowers from Adhesive Backed Hearts & Flowers. This really made her smile!

Cupcake is excited to share her card with TGIF.

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun color challenge, using Lost Lagoon, Poppy Parade, and Grey Granite. I thought the colors would be great for a masculine, Valentine card, and started by stamping the truck, from the Trucking Along Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used its “two-step” stamp to color the truck with Gray Granite Ink.

Trucking Along Valentine
Next, I used an Adoring Hearts Die to cut the heart from Poppy Parade Cardstock, filling the truck with a heavy load. And, I cut two, tall bushes, using a Painted Lavender Die, from Perennial Lavender Designer Paper.

The rectangles were cut with a Perennial Postage Die, 2″ X 2 3/4″, from Perennial Lavender Designer Paper. These were glued on an angle to Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Perennial Postage Die. All were glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Don’t you love the detailed edge that these dies provide?

Finally, the sentiment from the Trucking Along Stamp Set. I stamped “special delivery” in Memento Black Ink, and used another Perennial Postage Die, 1/3/4″ X 3/4″, for cutting. After attaching it with Dimensionals, my card was complete.

See how the designers used the colors, then create your design, and hang it in our gallery.

The Bee My Valentine Stamp Set, paired with the Bee Builder Punch, is a favorite for Valentine’s Day cards. I thought it would be fun to create a fancy fold, that you’ll see is easy to make.
I began with Flirty Flamingo Cardstock, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, a regular card base so far. Then, I scored the card front at 2 1/8″, and folded it back. I decorated the two folds with Most Adored Designer Paper, 1 7/8″ X 5 1/4″.

Fun Fold Valentine
Next, I used the same designer paper for the inside, cut with the largest Radiating Stitches Die. After gluing the heart DSP in place, I used the second largest Radiating Stitches Die to cut Basic White Cardstock (1), and a Black & White, Zoo Crew, floral pattern (2). First, I stamped “Happy Valentine’s Day,” on the Basic White Cardstock, and glued it in the center of the of inside. Second, I glued the floral pattern together, so you would see the pretty print on the inside. The trickiest part of this Fun Fold is placing the die-cut on the front, so it covers the die-cut on the inside. Just be careful to only glue the half that should be glued. See? That’s not so hard.

The bee was cut with the Bee Builder Punch from Basic White Cardstock that I colored with Lemon Lolly Ink and a Blending Brush. Then, I used Bee My Valentine Stamps to color its stripes, wings, antennae, and face with Memento Black Ink. The Bee Builder Punch was also used to cut the wings and antennae, which I glued to the bee’s body.
After attaching the bee with Dimensionals, I stamped, “you’ll always bee the one for me” on Basic White Cardstock. I made two cuts with the third largest Radiating Stitches Die, to make it the right size, and attached it with Dimensionals.
The final touch was adding three hearts on the inside, cut with the Bee Builder Punch from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. And, two Adhesive-Backed Flowers were attached on the front.

If you like the color purple, you’ll love Perennial Lavender Designer Paper, a favorite from the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog.
I began today’s card with a 4″ X 5 1/4″ pattern of this gorgeous paper. Then, I used a square, 1 1/4″ Perennial Postage Die to cut a hole that contained a butterfly. This square was attached to Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, cut with a Perennial Postage Die 1/2″ larger.

Lavender “for you”
Next, I cut a checked strip, 1/2″ X 5 1/4″, and glued it vertically. Once the strip was glued, I glued the designer paper to a Highland Heather card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. And, I attached the squares with Dimensionals, filling in the hole.
“For you” was cut with Love For You Dies from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock. The words were glued to Perennial Lavender DSP, cut with the Love For You “bubble” die, and attached to the card front with Dimensionals.

The final touch was adding three, beautiful, Purple Fine Shimmer Gems.

Today’s card developed from a color challenge: Black, White, plus a “bold pop” of color. I began with Zoo Crew Designer Paper in a black & white pattern, 5 5/16″ X 2 1/4″, glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. While I had this designer paper handy, I decorated the envelope flap with another black & white pattern.

“Color Pop” Birds
Next, I cut Basic White Cardstock, 5 5/16″ X 1 1/2″, to adhere to the center of the patterned paper. Prior to gluing, I used a Sending Love stamp with wavy lines, and Memento Black Ink, to stamp three times.
The circular sentiment is from the Sending Love Stamp Set also, which I stamped in Memento Black Ink, and used a Stylish Shapes Die for cutting. I was delighted that “a little note to say I miss you” fit perfectly. Then, I stamped leaves, from the Lifetime Of Love Stamp Set, and attached them with Dimensionals, along with the sentiment. This covered the imperfect “seams” of the wavy Lines.

Last, but not least, I stamped three birds, from the Sending Love Stamp Set, in Memento Black Ink, and used their Sending Love Die for cutting. After cutting, I colored the birds in three colors of Stampin’ Blends: Poppy Parade, Tahitian Tide, and Parakeet Party. The birds loved being my “bold pop” of color!

I was inspired by The Paper Players.

Today’s card developed from a fun sketch, you’ll see below. My first decision for the design was to use a FREE Sale-a-bration designer paper, Most Adored. I cut two heart patterns, 3 1/2″ X 2 1/4″ and 1 7/8″ X 1 7/8″, and layered them on Real Red Cardstock, 3 5/8″ X 2 3/8″ and 2″ X 2″.
To complete the sketch, I cut Gold Foil 4 3/4″ X 3/4″, placed Tear & Tape down the middle, and adhered Burlap Ribbon to the tape. After trimming the ends, it was glued to the background.

Adoring Hearts
The background is another selection of Most Adored Designer Paper with tiny, gold hearts. Isn’t it pretty? I glued this to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
After the pink, heart layers were attached with Dimensionals, I used Love For You Dies to cut “love you” from Gold Foil, and glued the words in place.

The final touch was adding a pink heart on top of the square. I used an Adoring Hearts Die to cut a heart from the matching Most Adored DSP, and attached it with Dimensionals.

I was inspired by TGIF.
