Claire, from the Zoo Crew Designer Paper, always wanted to be tall. When she saw this week’s Freshly Made Sketches, she thought of a way I could help her grow. By snipping her apart at the waist band, I could attach a sign that would make her really tall!
After positioning Claires legs at the bottom of the sign, she asked to hold a heart above her head. She wanted it to match her Pool Party flower, so I used a scrap of Pool Party designer paper, which I cut with a Radiating Stitches Die.
Claire the tall cat
Claire was so happy, and planned for her sign to say “Let your heart be light,” which we found in the Brightest Glow Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, and used a Stylish Shapes Die for cutting.
For her background, we used the largest Radiating Stitches Die to imprint a pretty frame on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Then, we glued this to a Thick basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Claire can’t wait for her Zoo Crew friends to see how tall she is!
I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches, especially the one designed by Cecile Ribon.

The Autumn Leaves Bundle is a favorite for unique, Fall cards. For today’s card, I used its 4 1/2″ die as a border detail. I ran it through the Stampin” Cut & Emboss Machine, four times, imprinting each side, on Basic White Cardstock, 4 1/2″ X 3 1/4″. Then, I attached it with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4“.
Leaves and a Heart
Next, I cut leaves and stems (leaf veins) from scraps of Old Olive and Highland Heather Cardstock and designer paper. The stems were glued, and the leaves were attached with Dimensionals.
“With a grateful heart” is from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, cut with an Autumn Leaves Die, and attached with Dimensionals.
The Pumpkin Pie heart was cut with a Sentiment Silhouettes Die from a scrap of designer paper.
I was inspired by The Paper Players.

This month, the theme is The Color Purple. We really hope that you will be inspired by all the amazing creations the Pals are sharing with you! Then, you will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
The Night Divine Bundle was my choice for this month’s The Color Purple theme. I began by using a Blending Brush to add Fresh Freesia Ink to Basic White cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Then, I stamped “O Holy Night,” from the Night Divine Stamp Set, in Gorgeous Grape Ink. This layer was glued to a Fresh Freesia card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
O Holy Night
Next, I used Night Divine Dies to cut, Mary, Joseph, Jesus, a Shepherd, and a Wiseman (conveniently, all one die) from Highland Heather Cardstock. And, I cut the donkey and lamb from Basic White Cardstock. Don’t you love the detail in the die-cuts?
The frame for the scene was cut with a Night Divine Die from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock, and all was glued in place. After adding a Fresh Freesia star, and giving the animals a double layer for thickness, my card was complete.
More inspiration awaits, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Then, please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month (second Wednesday), when our theme will be Home for the Holidays.
SURPRISE!!! Stampin’ Up! is offering FREE SHIPPING on qualifying orders for THREE DAYS, October 9, 10, and 11!
Today’s card was created with the very versatile, “Distinktive” stamp set, Cheers To The Season. The “So Thankful” leaf is perfect for Thanksgiving cards, don’t you think?
“Distinktive” is a word Stampin’ Up! coined for “stamps that create different opacities in a single stamped image.”
After stamping the leaf in Cajun Craze Ink on Basic White Cardstock, I used my Paper Snips to fussy cut, and placed it on Dimensionals.
So Thankful
Next, I used the second largest Deckled Rectangles Die to cut Basic White Cardstock. Then, I stamped Pumpkin Pie Ink, with the “swish” stamp, six times. This was followed by stamping Early Espresso Ink, with the dot stamp, three times.
After stamping, I used Dimensionals to attach the layer to a Cajun Craze card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
To complete my Thanksgiving card, I added embellishments to the stamped dots: Iridescent Rhinestones, Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins, and 2023-2025 In Color Dots.
I was inspired by TGIF.

This week’s Global Design Project is a theme: “pattern.” See how our designers used the theme, then create your design, and hang it in our gallery.
I found a houndstooth pattern in the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks Set that would be perfect for a masculine birthday card. Using a Blending Brush, and holding the mask in place, I applied Crumb Cake Ink to Basic White Cardstock (3″ X 4 1/4″), beneath the mask. Then, I layered it on Crumb Cake Cardstock, 3 1/4″ X 4 1/2″.
Houndstooth and “Hound Dog”
The layer beneath the pattern is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, glued to a Crumb Cake card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″. Prior to gluing, I gave the white layer texture with a Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
Someone else thought the pattern was perfect also, namely “Hound Dog,” nicknamed by his friends from the Zoo Crew Designer Paper.
He said he’s been waiting for me to make a card with a houndstooth pattern, and was hoping to be the focal point.
After snipping him from the DSP, I placed him on Dimensionals. His white layer is 1 3/8″ X 2 5/8″, backed with Crumb Cake, 1 1/2″ X 2 3/4″.
“Hound Dog” chose the sentiment, YAY YOU,” because he likes saying this on birthday cards. We found it in the Beautiful Balloons Stamp Set, and I stamped it in Crumb Cake Ink. He is very happy, and can’t wait to show his Zoo Crew friends his birthday card.

For today’s card, I wanted to show off the new, online exclusive, Delightful Floral Designer Paper, and the Double Z Fun Fold design would do the trick!
First, I cut a piece of 8 1/2″ X 11″ Thick Basic White Cardstock in half, 4 1/4″ X 11″, and scored it at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. You can use the other half to make a second card.
Two of the panels were decorated with Delightful Floral Designer Paper; 2 5/8″ X 4 1/8″ for the smaller panel, and 5 3/8″ X 4 1/8″ for the larger panel.
Delightful Floral Fun Fold
After gluing the panels, I cut a band for the bottom from Thick Basic White Cardstock, 11″ X 1 1/4,” scored at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″. The band was decorated with three strips of Delightful Floral Designer Paper. The long strip is 5 3/8″ X 1 1/8″, and the two shorter strips are 2 5/8″ X 1 1/8″.
Next, I fussy cut flowers from the Delightful Floral DSP to decorate the front panel. And, I added three Tinsel Gems for a touch of sparkle.
The trickiest part of the Double-Z Fun Fold is fastening the band. It seems odd, but the long section of the band is glued to the short front section. I find it easiest to apply glue to the folded band, because this exposes only the part that should have glue. Then, fold the card while adhering the band in place. I suggest having a “dry” run before applying glue.
“Happy Birthday” and “Wishing you all the happiness in the world,” are from the Translucent Florals Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiments in Blackberry Bliss Ink on a solid piece of Delightful Floral DSP, and used Something Fancy Dies for cutting.
The Double Z Fun Fold card, with this amount of decoration, fits nicely inside our Medium Envelopes.
