Rocky Raccoon is one of my favorite animals from Zoo Crew Designer Paper, and he was ready to hop onto another card. After I cut him free from the paper, he said he wanted a “woodsy” background.
We agreed the Apsen Tree Die would be perfect, cut from Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. This was glued to a Coastal Cabana card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Rocky Raccoon
Rocky wanted to say, “birthday wishes,” which we found in the Sending Smiles Stamp Set, and stamped it in Memento Black Ink. He said this was just the right size, and could be cut with a Sending Die.

Today’s card is the fourth sneak peek of the year-round, Translucent Florals. Beginning September 6th, Translucent Florals, along with all the new holiday products will be available to everyone!
I began by cutting the petals from the truly translucent, Vellum Basics Specialty Paper. It reminds me of Dotted Swiss fabric, with its tiny dots.
After cutting the petals, I colored them with Stampin’ Blends in the colors of Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia. Then, I attached the petals with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, and glued the centers, cut from the More Dazzle Specialty Paper. Don’t you love the sparkle?
Vellum Translucent Florals
For the background, I cut a branch from Basic White Cardstock, using a Gorgeously Made Die.
The branch was glued to Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Deckled Rectangles Die. Then, the layer was glued to a Gray Granite card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The sentiment, “Hello there,” is from the Nature’s Prints Stamp Set. I stamped it in Gray Granite Ink, cut it to shape with two Deckled Rectangles Dies, and attached it with Dimensionals.

Today’s card is a third sneak peek of the year-round, Translucent Florals, available September 6th, along with all the new holiday products.
The Translucent Florals Dies have beautiful petals and leaves, which I cut from Hello Irresistible Designer Paper. They were easy to glue together, with centers cut from Basic White Cardstock.
Irresistible Translucent Florals
Next, I cut Thick Basic White Cardstock with an Irresistible Blooms Die, which I glued to Pretty Peacock Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. After trimming the excess from the white die-cut, I glued the layer to a Pretty Peacock card base, * 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Because this Irresistible Blooms Die is fabulous, but tricky to use, I’ll re-post my discovery.
Cut a piece of Cardstock, 6 1/4″ X 1 1/2″, and adhere it to the same size cut of an Adhesive Sheet. Then, place the Irresistible Blooms Die on top of the cardstock, and run it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. After cutting, poke out all the parts that aren’t part of the design, before peeling the backing of the Adhesive Sheet.
Leaving the die in place, position it on the cardstock, pressing to make it stick, before removing the die.
The sentiment, “You’re the best,” is from the Translucent Florals Stamp Set. I stamped it in VersaMark on Pretty Peacock Cardstock, sprinkled it with White Embossing Powder. After setting it with the Heat Tool, I used a Timeless Arrangments Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

For the next several blog posts, I’ll be featuring the Translucent Florals Bundle. It’s a favorite from the Sept-Dec 2023 Mini Catalog, and will be available Sept 6th. The versatility, and beauty of the stamped images is amazing.
I began today’s card by stamping the leaves in Lost Lagoon Ink, and the flowers in Fresh Freesia Ink, on Basic White Cardstock. After stamping, I used their Translucent Florals Dies for cutting.
With “Distinktive” stamps, the trick is to not have too much ink when stamping. This can be accomplished by moving the ink across your ink pad with a flat tool. I use the rounded edge of a plastic knife.
Framed Translucent Florals
Next, I made the frame for my floral arrangement with the largest, and second largest, Countryside Corners Dies, and Masterfully Made Designer Paper.
I glued the frame to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Prior to gluing, I gave the card front texture with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.
“Thank you” is from the Timeless Arrangements Stamp Set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss Ink, cut with a Timeless Arrangements Die, and attached with Dimensionals.
The leaves and flowers were glued at the bottom, and raised with Dimensionals at the top. Once they were in place, I added three Tinsel Gems in Lost Lagoon and Fresh Freesia. I love these colors and these gems, and they happen to be my Host Code Gift this month. See details below.

For this week’s Global Design Project, we get to CASE (copy and selectively edit) Emma Goddard’s beautiful “hello” card.

I wanted to make a Christmas card, using the word “JOY,” with a wreath taking the place of “O.” A Country Wreaths Die was used to cut More Dazzle Specialty Paper, and Alphabet a La Mode Dies were used to cut the “J” and “Y” from the same paper. To give the letters dimension, I used Foam Adhesive Sheets.
Cottage Wreaths JOY
For the background, I stamped the wreath, from the Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set, in Soft Sea Foam Ink on Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″. This was glued to a Mossy Meadow card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
The pretty, paper bow is also from the Cottage Wreaths Stamp Set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used its Country Wreaths Die for cutting, and glued it in place.

One of my favorites from the 2023 Sept-Dec Mini Catalog is the Night Divine Bundle, and I love it combined with the Winter Meadow Designer Paper.
I began todays’ design with Winter Meadow DSP, 4″ X 5 1/4″, glued to a Lost Lagoon card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Then, the stable was cut with a Night Divine Die from Lost Lagoon Cardstock, and glued in place.

Next, I cut the nativity scene from the backside of the Winter Meadow Designer Paper. It’s such a pretty blue, and shows off the wonderful detail in the die-cut.
“Peace on Earth,” is from the Regal Reindeer Stamp Set, which is in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. I stamped it in Blueberry Bushel Ink on Winter Meadow DSP, used the Double Oval Punch for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.
The final touch was a star, cut from More Dazzle Specialty Paper with a Sentiment Silhouettes Die, and glued on top of the stable.
