Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created projects featuring “Sale-A-Bration Products.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments. We love hearing from you! At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
The Darling Donkeys are so cute, I wanted extra space to show off all three. So, I used one of my favorite fancy fold cards, the Double Z-Fold. I haven’t used it for a while, not because it’s difficult to make, but because it’s difficult to photograph. Hopefully, my instructions will be clear, and you’ll be inspired to give it a try.

Darling Donkeys Fancy Fold
First, cut a piece of 8 1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock in half, 4 1/4″ X 11″. This is Thick Basic White Cardstock, scored at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. The three panels were decorated with Sale-A-Bration, Berry Delightful Designer Paper in a green plaid. The large section is 5 1/4″ X 4″, and the two smaller sections are 2 1/2″ X 4″.
Second, cut a band for the bottom, 11″ X 1 1/2.” Score at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″. I decorated the band with three strips of another pattern of Berry Delightful Designer Paper. This paper comes in a bundle with a stamp set, which is a free Sale-A-Bration item for a $100 qualifying purchase. You can click on the picture in my Product List for details of the bundle.
The trickiest part of the Double Z-Fold is fastening the band. Apply glue to the front (bottom) of the card, and to the back of the end of the band. It seems odd, but the long section of the band is glued to the short front section. Attach the band, closing the card while fastening to make sure it attaches evenly, and use Liquid Glue, so you’ll have wiggle room. You should try a “dry” run, before applying glue.

Now, for the stars of the show, the Darling Donkeys. I stamped them in Stazon Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and “cheated” with the cutting by using a Scan N’ Cut. On previous cards, I cut the donkeys without a white border, and I used regular weight cardstock. This time I added the border, but the blade wasn’t the right distance, didn’t make a clean cut, and I had to stamp, and cut a second time. It’s a learning process, and it will never replace my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
Once cut, I colored the donkeys with Light and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, and attached them with Dimensionals.

“You make me happy” is from the Meant To Be Stamp Set, stamped in Stazon Ink, cut with an Ornate Frames Die, and placed on Dimensionals. It’s attached to a heart, cut with a Stitched Be Mine Die from Berry Delightful Designer Paper.
The same heart die was used to cut the Thick Basic White heart on the inside, which I stamped with “Happy Valentine’s Day,” from the Meant To Be Stamp Set, in Real Red Ink.

Incidentally, the Double Z-Fold card will fit right inside our Medium Envelopes. YAY!
Thanks for hopping by today!

I like to make good use of all my stamp sets, so I selected one that had been set aside while I was concentrating on holiday cards, the Prized Peony Stamp Set.

Peony & Gold
This stamp set has a large floral image that I stamped in Memento Black Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, and cut with its Peony Die.

Next, I colored the peony with Magenta Madness and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.
For the background I chose dotted, Highland Heather Designer Paper that comes in a 6X6 Subtles Collection. This is similar to what will be received for FREE by those who sign up as Demonstrators during Sale-A-Bration. You can read more details about it below.
I layered the designer paper on Magenta Madness Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5 “, which I glued to a Gorgeous Grape card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4”.

I spent some time thinking about the sentiment, and then I remembered I wanted to use a Gold Hoop Embellishment. This was my December host code gift, which I’ll be mailing to my qualifying customers this week, and I’m excited to show them how I’m using it. There is a tiny bit of Liquid Glue holding it in place. Plus, the peony is attached with Dimensionals on top of the hoop for added security.
Once the Gold Hoop was positioned, I knew I wanted a gold sentiment. The word “sympathy” from the Well Written Die Set seemed perfect, cut from our Brushed Metallic Cardstock.

There are 10 Gold Hoops in a pack, and I’m looking forward to embellishing more cards with them!

I was inspired by TGIF.

Today’s card for Global Design Project has the sentiment, “YOU,” sharing the focal point with a bright bouquet.

Art Gallery & YOU

The first thing I decided was my background paper; a brushstroke pattern from Fine Art Floral Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. This was layered on a Smoky Slate card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
Next, I created “YOU” with Playful Alphabet Dies, a Foam Adhesive Sheet, and a darker section from the same designer paper.

I completed the sentiment with “made my day” from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. I carefully inked the words in Stazon Ink, eliminating the “you” included on the stamp. Then, I stamped it on a 4″ X 1/2″ piece of the same designer paper. To give it definition, I backed it with Smoky Slate Cardstock.

The bouquet is from the Art Gallery Stamp Set, created with the “ink to stamp” technique, using the Stamparatus and Stampin’ Write Markers. I placed a piece of Basic White Cardstock on the Stamparatus, held down by magnets. Then, I positioned the bouquet stamp on the cardstock, lifted it with the lid, colored with the markers, and stamped onto the cardstock. I lifted and stamped, using one color at a time: Smoky Slate, Mango Melody, and Poppy Parade.
The Stampin’ Write Markers in the “Bright” colors are available now, but low inventory. The “Neutral” colors will be available Feb 15, along with the entire collection.
Finally, I used the Floral Gallery Die for cutting my bouquet, and attached it with Dimensionals.

For today’s Stamping Sunday Blog Hop I’m sharing three cards, using the Berry Blessings Stamp Set and Berry Delightful Designer Paper, a Sale-A-Bration favorite. I also wanted to show how this stamp set & paper can be enjoyed by three types of stampers: beginner, casual and avid.
The supplies for all three cards are in my Product List below. And, the great news is, the Sale-A-Bration items are FREE with a qualifying $100 order!

Beginner, Casual, Avid
The “beginner’s” card is #simplestamping. With the exception of the punched sentiment, it’s just stamps, ink, and paper. The berries and leaves were stamped from the Berry Blessings Stamp Set on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″.
The white layer was glued to a Purple Posy card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
I stamped the sentiment from the Berry Blessings Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape Ink, used the Everyday Label Punch for Cutting, and brushed the edges with a Sponge Dauber and Highland Heather Ink.
If a beginner doesn’t have the punch, they could stamp the sentiment right on the white cardstock, and still have a pretty card.

The second card is for a casual stamper, taking more time and products. This time, I began with a Purple Posy card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″) topped with a layer of Berry Delightful Designer Paper(4″ X 5 1/4″). Then, I cut a hole in the center using a Wreath Builder Die, and the same die to cut a round of leaves from Granny Apple Green Cardstock.
Applying the “inlaid technique,” I glued the green leaves in the “holes” created in the designer paper. If you look closely, you can see the leaves are “inside,” and not on top of the designer paper.
Next, I used a Wreath Builder Die to cut the “love heart” from the “leftover” piece of Berry Delightful Designer Paper. Before attaching the heart with Dimensionals, I backed it with Blackberry Bliss Cardstock, so “love” would be pronounced.

The third card began with a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. I topped this with Basic White Cardstock, cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die, and embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
The leaves were already cut, with a Wreath Builder Die, from the previous card, and the berries were cut from Highland Heather Cardstock. I glued the berries and the inner leaves flat, leaving the outer leaves free to lift.
Next, I cut the “love heart” from Highland Heather Cardstock, and attached it with Dimensionals.
The bow was made with Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, secured in place on a Glue Dot.
This card has additional detail, created with extra tools and product, that an avid crafter would enjoy.

For more inspiration, the Stamping Sunday designers are excited to share their ideas with you. Clicking on their names will take you to their blogs.

The Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle is definitely a favorite from the new January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. It can be ordered now, and you’ll find the links to my store in the Product List below. You may be wondering how friends are like seashells, the answer is…… “you collect them along the way.”
Today’s card is a “slimline”, with a card base of Sahara Sand, 8″ X 7″, folded at 3 1/2″. It is layered with beach sand from Sand & Sea Designer Paper, 7 3/4″ X 3 1/4″. It’s nice that slimline cards will fit in a legal-size envelope.
Before gluing the designer paper to the card base, I taped a piece of Braided Linen Trim to the back of the beach. It was made wider by stretching the Linen Trim apart with my fingers, and it’s held in place by a few Glue Dots.

Shells on a beach
Next, I stamped the shells from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set in several different colors of Ink (Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, Cinnamon Cider, Calypso Coral, and Blushing Bride) on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I fussy cut the shells, and smoothed the lines with a Water Painter. After positioning the shells, I attached the four, larger ones with Dimensionals, and glued the two smaller shells.
I could have used the Seaside Seashell Dies, but I wanted to eliminate the white border on the shells for this card.

The sentiment is from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set. I stamped “I’m so glad I found you” in Basic Gray Ink on Sand & Sea Designer Paper, cut with the smallest Stitched Rectangles Die, and attached it with Dimensionals.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

Jan 6, 2021 | Gallery, Hand-Crafted Cards, TGIF |
The first challenge of 2021 for TGIF was a color challenge, black and white. In thinking of this color combo, I decided a silhouette would be a good start. I stamped the swinging girl from the Silhouette Scenes in Jet Black Stazon Ink on thick, white, cardstock, and placed her on Dimensionals. I usually use Memento Black Ink, but Stazon gives a darker image.

True Love

For her background, I cut the largest heart from the Be Mine Stitched Die Set from True Love Designer Paper, and positioned my swinging girl among the flowers. To add thickness to the heart, I cut a layer of Basic Black Cardstock, and glued the two together. True Love Designer Paper is wonderful, and you can see all of the patterns in my Product List below.

Behind the heart is a layer of Basic black Cardstock, cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die. The black layer is glued to a thick, white card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

I couldn’t think of a better sentiment than “love,” which is from the Well Written Die Set, cut from thick, white cardstock. I colored the “l” with a black Stampin’ Write Marker, so it would show against the white heart.
This is a simple card that makes me happy, and I hope it makes you feel that way also.
