I was having fun with the “ink to stamp” technique a few days ago, and decided to use it on today’s masculine birthday card, yes masculine. My daughter said she would never send this card to a guy, because of the light purple, Highland Heather. But, my father loved all shades of purple, so I’m sticking with it for the Paper Player’s challenge.

Rainbow Birthday
I began with Whisper White Cardstock (3 1/4″ X 4 1/2″), a Textured Essentials stamp, and six Stampin’ Write Markers. I used the Stamparatus and the “ink to stamp” technique that I described in coloring “so grateful.” Clicking this card will take you to my blog post:

Rainbow Grateful
There’s nothing like black to make bright colors pop, so I gave the white layer a border of 1/16″ Basic Black Cardstock.
The background is the aforementioned, Highland Heather Cardstock, embossed with the Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder, and adhered to a Thick Whisper White card base.

“Happy” is a Word Wishes Die, cut from Rainbow Glimmer Paper, and given dimension by using a Foam Adhesive Sheet.
“Birthday” is from the Well Said Stamp Set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a retired die from the Merry Christmas set. Sorry, but I HAD to use it; it fit the word so perfectly. All the other supplies are in my Product List below.

The Paper Player’s challenge was my inspiration.

Some people love snowmen, and I’m one of them! They come alive at Christmas time, and Stampin’ Up’s! Snow Wonder Bundle is perfect for creating your handcrafted Christmas cards.
Today’s card combines our Snow Wonder snowman (or snowwoman) with Feels Like Frost Designer Paper, and “her” name is Frosty.

Frosty
The first thing I did was trim a piece of the 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper to 4″ X 5 1/4″. Next, I stamped Frosty in Misty Moonlight Ink, and “Happy Christmas” in Balmy Blue Ink.

Then, I used the snowman die, and label die, from the Snow Time Die Set, to cut them from the Feels Like Frost Designer Paper. I glued the designer paper to a Highland Heather card base, and thought you’d like to see the holes that were created, before completing the card. This is referred to as the “eclipse technique,” and one that’s really fun to use.

I backed Frosty and the sentiment with Highland Heather Cardstock and attached them with Dimensionals. Before attaching, I colored Frosty’s scarf and hat with Stampin’ Blends, using Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, and Old Olive. This only took a second. Next, I cut a 4″ piece of Metallic Mesh Ribbon to place beneath the sentiment, which is held in place by the Dimensionals. Do you like the way it makes the snow glisten? Frosty does!

I hope the colors are inspiring for you. We’d love for you to create a card, and hang it in our gallery.

Today’s card began with the sentiment, “So Grateful,” from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. I used the “ink to stamp” technique to create the rainbow of colors. Follow along for my easy instructions.

Rainbow Grateful
The “ink to stamp” technique is fun to use, especially with the Stamparatus. I arranged the Stampin’ Write Markers in the order I wanted to color. After securing Whisper White Cardstock on the Stamparatus with a magnet, I positioned the Ornate Thanks stamp, and picked it up by the lid of the Stamparatus. I colored a couple letters of the stamp with each color, pressing the stamp to the paper as I went along. If you aren’t familiar with a Stamparatus, you can read more about it by clicking on its picture in my Product List.

I wanted the rainbow sentiment to stand out, so chose a neutral background. The card base is Sahara Sand (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″), topped with Whisper White Cardstock that I cut with the largest Ornate Layers Die. Before gluing to the card base, I embossed the layer with The Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
For more texture, I used the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder on a piece of 3″ X 4″ Whisper White Cardstock. I distressed the edges before gluing it on an angle.

The circle beneath “So Grateful” was cut with a Painted Labels Die from Neutrals 6″ X 6″ Designer Paper in Sahara Sand. The sentiment and circle were attached with Dimensionals.
The final touch was four little pearls. Can you see them?

I was inspired by CAS(E) this sketch.

Warm sunny days and sunflowers go together, don’t you think? The Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle has wonderful stamps and dies to keep your card making mojo going strong! You can see the complete bundle by clicking on the photo in my Product List below.

Sunflower Thanks
I began with a So Saffron card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″). This Subtle yellow is a shade lighter than the yellow I planned to use for the sunflower
The sunflower was created with two Sunflowers Dies. The outline die was used to cut the 2020-2022 In Color 6X6 Designer Paper, in dotted Bumblebee. And, the detailed die was used to cut Brushed Metallic Paper, which I placed on top of the dots. I turned the Brushed Metallic petals until they matched the dotted paper, and glued just the circular portion, leaving the petals free.
The three leaves were cut from Whisper White Cardstock, matching the Whisper White layer (4″ X 5 1/4″), that I embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder.
I glued the leaves flat, except for the tips, and attached the sunflower with Dimensionals.

“Thanks a bunch” is in the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set, stamped in Soft Suede Ink, and cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die (3″ X 1″). I was happy the sentiment fit so perfectly, and attached it with Dimensionals. Three 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots were added to complete my “thank you” card.
This picture gives you a better idea of the beauty of the Brushed Metallic Paper.

I was inspired by the Paper Players, and ended up completing all but two of the squares!

Once again, I’m having fun with the Festive Corners Stamp Set, stamping “MERRY” in Real Red Ink on Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock. I used the long, narrow, Ornate Layers Die for cutting. The unique feature on this card is the vertical “MERRY,” and it worked perfectly for today’s sketch.

The tree from the Pine Woods Die set was cut from Garden Green Cardstock, and glued to Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock that was cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die (3/4″ X 2 3/4″).

Vertical “MERRY”
The background is Toile Tidings Designer Paper (4″ X 5 1/4″) on a Thick Very Vanilla card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″). Once glued, I attached “MERRY” and the tree with Dimensionals.

To complete the sentiment, I stamped “Merry Christmas,” from the Snowman Season Stamp Set, in Real Red Ink on Thick Very Vanilla Cardstock. After fussy cutting the word, “Christmas,” I attached it with Mini Dimensionals, gluing the “C” to the bottom of “MERRY.”
Check out the complete set in my Product List below, because the snowmen are adorable!

Everyone loves punches, because you can get great results with little effort. Follow along to see how easy it was to create this Christmas card, and you’ll find my supplies in the Product List below. Plus, clicking on my “SHOP” button takes you to our REFRESHED Clearance Rack.

Christmas Moose
Moose Punch was delighted to share the spotlight with Pine Tree Punch. He even thought it was a good idea to match his fur to the tree, a beautiful piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper.

Moose Punch said he was very strong, and wanted to carry the sentiment on his back. We found “Merry Christmas” in the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set, and stamped it in Real Red Ink on Thick Whisper White Cardstock. It fit perfectly within a Stitched Rectangles Dies, which was just the right size for Moose Punch to carry. Furthermore, he thought the tree could balance on top of it.

We thought the background called for snow, and the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and Whisper White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″) did the trick. After gluing the snow to the Shaded Spruce card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″), we attached Moose, Pine Tree, and sentiment, with Dimensionals, and our “quick & easy” card was complete.

Moose Punch said he wanted to have lots of different plaid fur, and I could send all of his cards to my friends.
We were inspired by CAS(E) this sketch.
