Country Woods Delightful Wishes

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Today’s card is featuring Country Woods Designer Paper. I rarely use an entire pack of paper, but this has been a favorite, and I’m down to bits and pieces. I managed to have enough for this background by cutting strips, using a Textured Notes Die. I lined up the ten strips on a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

Country Woods Wishes

After gluing nine strips in place, I stamped the tenth strip with a sentiment in Early Espresso Ink, and attached it with Mini Dimensionals. “You A Happy Birthday” is from the Delightful Wishes Stamp Set. The first part of the sentiment, “Wishing,” is from the coordinating, Delightful Wishes Die Set. I cut the word from Country Woods DSP, and backed it with Basic Beige Cardstock.

To complete the design, I used a Thankful Garden Die to cut leaves from another piece of Country Woods Designer Paper. Then, I added three, Neutral Matte Dots in white, as a final touch.

I was inspired by the TGIF Challenge.

Extraordinary Flora for Global Design Project

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

This week’s Global Design Project is an inspiring sketch challenge. See how our design team used the sketch. Then, we’d love to see your creation when you post it on social media. Be sure to tag it #gdp510.

I began with Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, which I colored with a Blending Brush, Lost lagoon Ink, and a stencil. I created the circular stencil with a Stylish Shapes Die and Vellum. Because Vellum is see-through, it makes placement easy.

Featuring: Extraordinary Flora Bundle, Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape; Stylish Shapes Dies, Delightful Wishes Dies Purple Fine Shimmer Gems; #extraordinaryflora #washitape #stenciling #cardsketch #globaldesignproject #gdp510 #handmadecards #handcrafted #cardmaking #stampinup

Extraordinary Flora

Next, I adhered Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape to Lost Lagoon Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 5 1/2″. This Washi Tape is so much fun to use, because it picks up the color you adhere it to. If it gets a wrinkle while adhering, you can lift it, and press it flat again. After it was smooth, I ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with its Extraordinary Flora Die. This die cuts the Washi Tape into 16 pieces, and I used 6 for today’s design; 4 attached with Dimensionals, and 2 glued flat. Then, I glued the layer to a Lost Lagoon card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The sentiment, “For the extraordinary couple,” is from the Extraordinary Flora Stamp Set. I stamped it in Blackberry Bliss Ink, used a Delightful Wishes Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. As a final touch, I tucked three Purple Fine Shimmer Gems among the Flora.

Storybook Garden Patch Strawberries

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Everyone loves strawberries, and they made a “sweet” theme for today’s birthday card. I found the strawberries in the Storybook Garden Patch Stamp Set, and stamped them in Memento Black Ink on Basic White Cardstock, three times. Then, I colored the strawberries and leaves with Stampin’ Blends in four colors: Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, Real Red, and, of course, Strawberry Slush.

A sale began August 5. Click the pictures in my Product List below to see the discounted prices.

Sweet Strawberries

Next, I used the largest Textured Notes Die to cut Basic White Cardstock, and stamped “happy birthday” in Early Espresso Ink. This sentiment is from the Spring Corners Stamp Set. Then, I glued the layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

The cute design, that looks like a fence, was cut from Woven Textures Designer Paper with a Mixed Labels die. The blossoms were cut from Basic White Cardstock with a Perfectly Pears Die. Before gluing them in place, I highlighted the centers with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend. After attaching the strawberries with Dimensionals, my “sweet” birthday card was complete.

Peaceful Garden with Spotlight On Nature

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Today’s card was inspired by a fun, Freshly Made Sketches Challenge, which you can see below. I began with Peaceful Garden Designer Paper, cut with a Spotlight On Nature circle die. I cut a circle from each pattern of the DSP, then placed them together to cut in half. This insured the halves would match perfectly.

Peaceful Garden

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″, given texture with the So Swirly Embossing Folder. After embossing the layer, I glued it to a Cloud Cover card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I glued the circle in place. Next, I stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea Ink on Basic White Cardstock, used a Delightful Wishes Die for cutting, and attached it with Mini Dimensionals. “You make a difference” is from the Thankful Garden Stamp Set.

To complete my design, I added a dove, cut from Peaceful Garden Designer Paper with a Peace On Earth Die. I layered it for thickness, and attached it with Dimensionals. In Color Flat Pearls were added as a final touch. The Peaceful Garden Designer Paper and Peace On Earth Dies are part of a suite from the 2025 September-December Mini Catalog, available September 3.

Fun Fold Animal Card for Pals Blog Hop

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!

This month’s theme is Animal House—and the Pals are here to inspire you with a parade of paw-some card ideas and paper craft creations, all featuring Stampin’ Up! products. At the end of each post, you’ll find links to all the participant blogs so you can “hop” along and gather ideas to make your own projects roar with personality. 🐾

For this month’s animal card, I’m sharing a re-make of a Fun Fold “circle flap” design. It features the darling dog from Along These Lines Stamp Set, which I stamped in Early Espresso Ink on Beautiful Gallery Designer Paper, and used scissors to fussy cut.

By Su Mohr for Pals Blog Hop; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Along These Lines Stamp Set, Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape and Die, The Right Words Stamp Set, Textured Notes Dies, Woven Textures DSP, Glass Embossing Folder; #alongtheselines #therightwords #animalsympathycard #dogs #extraordinaryflorawashi #palsbloghop #lastchanceproducts #incolorsale #stampin'up

Animal Fun Fold

For the dog’s background, I was excited to use Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape, which I adhered to Basic White Cardstock, 3 1/2″ X 5″, then ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Extraordinary Flora Die. Next, I attached the cut pieces on a Thick Basic White circle, cut with the largest Spotlight on Nature Die. The dog was glued in place with the sentiment, “Thinking of you,” from The Right Words Stamp Set. I stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Textured Notes Die for cutting.

The card base is Soft Sea Foam, 8″ X 4 1/4″, scored at 2 1/2″. The 2 1/2″ fold is the front, which I embossed with the Glass Embossing Folder. The circle with the dog and flora was centered, gluing just the left side to the flap. Then, I backed it with Soft Sea Foam Cardstock, for thickness, and a finished look on the inside.

The inside tells you this is a sympathy card, with the sentiment from The Right Words Stamp Set, “Hoping the loss you feel right now will be eased by wonderful memories.” I stamped the words in Mossy Meadow Ink on a third, Basic White circle, cut with the same Spotlight On Nature die. Before gluing this circle, I glued Woven Textures Designer Paper, 5 1/4″ X 4″ to the Soft Sea Foam card base. To complete the card, I added one more piece of Extraordinary Flora.

We have more inspiration to share, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Pals. Next month we will create beautiful inspiration for a “Ready for Fall” theme and hope you will join us.

Until then, have fun in your craft space.

Layers Of Beauty Color Blending

To see photos correctly, please click “read on blog.”

This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge, using: Darling Duckling, Poppy Parade, and Pool Party. We’d love to see how you use this color combo. Please show off your creation on social media, and tag it #gdp509, so everyone can see it.

I thought it would be fun to use “color blending” with the Layers of Beauty Decorative Masks. Since blue and yellow make green, I was able to have green leaves with my pretty flowers. And, the flowers are a combo of all three colors!

By Su Mohr for GDP 509; Click aromasandart.com to go to my website for details! Featuring: Layers Of Beauty Decorative Masks, Layers Of Beauty Stamp Set, Textured Notes Dies; #layersofbeauty #decorativemasks #masks #stencils #colorblending #gdp509 #colorchallenges #stampinup #globaldesignproject #floral#texturednotes

Color Blending

The masks are notched, and numbered, in the left hand corner, for lining up with the cardstock you are coloring. I cut my cardstock the same size as the masks, which also helps in lining up properly, 5″ X 6 5/8″. Using Blending Brushes, I varied the pressure, and amount of ink, to achieve lighter and darker colors. I recommend rinsing your masks and brushes in water, soon after completing your coloring, so they’ll be ready for your next project.

To give my bouquet a petty border, I used the largest Textured Notes Die for cutting the white cardstock. The sentiment, “God bless,” is in the Layers Of Beauty Stamp Set. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink, very carefully, and breathed a sigh of relief. I didn’t want to make a mistake at this point. To complete my card, I glued the layer to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.
