I just received my pre-order of the new True Love Designer Paper, so when I saw the Paper Players color challenge, I knew I had to use it. Follow along, and you’ll understand.

Black, white, and silver
Here’s the Paper Players color challenge, silver, black, and white.

The entire pack of 12X12″ True Love Designer Paper is black and white, with wonderful floral and geometric patterns. It is in the January to June 2021 Mini Catalog, and will be available January 5th, so write down item #154281, and be ready to order it. You’ll have fun coloring it also!
For today’s card I cut a layer of small flowers, 4″ X 5 1/4″, and glued it to a Thick Whisper White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I cut a Whisper White Cardstock layer a smidge (1/8″) larger. Before gluing it on top of the floral layer, I used a circular die from Birds & More to cut a hole in it. And, I embossed the layer with the Tasteful Textured Embossing Folder.

Next, I used the same Birds & More Die to cut a Silver Foil circle, and the largest Layering Circles Die to cut around the edge. Then, I glued the silver circle on top of the white circle. It’s neat how the Layering Circle is just the right size, but take care to have the circles centered., because there’s a tiny margin.

The dragonfly is from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set (#154411), stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with the Dragonflies Punch (#154240). You’ll be able to order the stamp set and punch in a bundle for a 10% savings (#156224), January 5, 2021.

The sentiment is also from the stamp set, stamped in Memento Black Ink, and cut with a Layering Circles Die, approximately 2 “, and framed by Silver Foil cut with a scalloped Layering Circles Die.

Dragonfly Garden will be available January 5, 2021, and my other supplies are in my Product List below.

Christmas isn’t complete without snowmen featured on some cards, and Snow Wonder is the perfect bundle for making this happen. You’ll find Snow Wonder on the retiring list, but only because the “bundle” is retiring, not the separate stamp and die sets. So, if you’d like to add this to your collection, now is a good time to order it with the 10% discount as a bundle.
I began by stamping the Snow Wonder snowman in Memento Black Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and using the Snow Time Die for cutting. The scarf and hat were easily colored with Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends.

Winter Joy
The Snowman is holding “joy,” created with a Joy Die , Silver Foil and a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheet. The Joy Dies are on the retiring list with a 30% discount. Check out the complete set in my Product List below; three words with three layering possibilities.

The snowman’s background was created with Ornate Layers Dies, current and at regular price. I embossed the smaller, Whisper White layer with one of my favorite embossing folders, Winter Snow. It’s on the retiring list at 50% off, so get it now before it sells out.
I used the larger Ornate Layers Die to cut a pattern of Regals 6X6 Designer Paper, and layered this on a Thick Whisper White card base.

Before gluing the layers together, I rounded the four corners of the card base with the Detailed Trio Punch, a current punch in the Annual Catalog.
The final touch was a glistening bow, created with Metallic Mesh Ribbon, which is not retiring.

What is Paper Pumpkin? It’s Stampin’ Up’s monthly kit that is all inclusive. It’s great for crafters who don’t have a lot of supplies, because everything you need is right in the box. It’s so much fun to receive it in the mail, because the contents are kept secret until delivery time. You have the option of subscribing for one month, three months, six months, a year, or forever (LOL) and the links are in my Product List below.
The kits come with instructions, but the supplies in the kit can go beyond the designed project, known as “Paper Pumpkin alternatives.” The card I designed for today is a Paper Pumpkin alternative from November’s kit.

Gingerbread Alternative
You have to think ahead a bit, because December’s kit is being mailed, and can no longer be ordered. But, December 11th is the first day to order January’s kit. Think love and Valentine’s Day! Eight cards plus an add-on is a hint of what is coming. Click here to subscribe, or just to view videos of the unboxing of the last several months.

Today’s card began with a Thick Whisper White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This was layered with Whisper White Cardstock, embossed with the Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder, 3 3/4″ X 5″.
The cute house is from the Jolly Gingerbread Stamp Set that comes in the kit, stamped in Cinnamon Cider Ink, easily cut by hand, and attached with Dimensionals.
The skinny lines of color were made with a Lasting Elegance Die and five colors of cardstock that match the colors in the kit: Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight, Shaded Spruce, and Blushing Bride.

Next, I used a Stitched Nested Label Die to cut Thick Whisper White Cardstock, cut it in half, and attached it with Dimensionals. It looks like an upside down house, and look at all the roof tops in the argyle. LOL, must be why I chose it!
I was excited to discover that, “From our house to yours,” fit perfectly in a label from the kit. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Stamp Set, stamped in Cinnamon Cider Ink, and attached with Dimensionals.

I saved the best for last, placing the candy stickers from the kit on Thick Whisper White Cardstock, 1/2″ X 3″, and flagging the end. I must warn you about the candy stickers; they look good enough to eat, so take care around children.

CAS(E) this sketch was my inspiration, along with the November Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Oh my! You are going to want this gorgeous paper from the Sale-a-bration 5 January-28 February 2021 brochure. Everyone loves berries, right? And, this paper is spectacular!
I began today’s design with a Granny Apple Green card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, layered with the first piece of yummy, berry, paper, 5 1/4″ X 4″.

“berry best”
The second layer is green plaid, cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die, 4″ X 3″, glued in the middle of the berry paper. The third layer is Whisper White Cardstock, also cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die, 3 1/4″ X 2″, attached with Dimensionals.

The three strawberries were fussy cut from the designer paper, and attached with Dimensionals. Here’s a peek at all the patterns, but you really have to see it in person to appreciate it.

“Wishing you the berry best,” stamped in Garden Green Ink, is from the coordinating Stamp Set, Berry Blessings. It gets even better, because the stamp set and paper are a FREE item when you order $100 during Sale-a-bration! When does Sale-a-bration begin? January 5 2021, so mark your calendars!

I was inspired by TGIF.

Here’s another sneak peek of the Dragonfly Garden Bundle and Dandy Garden Designer Paper, from the 2021 January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. This is available to Demonstrators now, and customers January 5, 2021. If you’d like to join Stampin’ Up!, and order early, I’d love for you to be a part of my Dream Makers Team. Just click on the button below.

Honeybees & Dragonflies
The Dandy Garden Designer Paper is wonderful, and the Dragonflies Punch can be used to crop dragonflies right from the paper, like this blue one. I stamped the other dragonfly in Misty Moonlight Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, and used the same Dragonflies Punch for cutting.

Don’t you love the honeybee paper? I used an Ornate Layers Die for cutting, and placed it on Dimensionals.

The background is Whisper White Cardstock (4″ X 5 1/4″) embossed with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder. I layered this on a Misty Moonlight card base (8 1/2″ X 5 1/4″, folded at 4 1/4″).

“For a true friend” is from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set, stamped in Misty Moonlight Ink, cut with an Ornate Frames Die, and attached with Dimensionals.
Above the sentiment is a bow of Linen Thread, attached with a dot of Tombow Glue.

Freshly Made Sketches was my inspiration.

Dec 9, 2020 | Gallery, Hand-Crafted Cards, Pals Blog Hop |

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team created projects showing “My Favorite Things” from any of the two current catalogs or the upcoming catalog in January. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I’ve really enjoyed making cards with products from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog, and I’m excited to tell you about some favorites.

Merry and Bright
The Peace & Joy Bundle (page 18) is among the top of my list of favorite retiring sets, because I can’t resist paper words. The font is wonderful in the die-cuts, and the words in the stamp set are so much fun to use.
I began today’s card by using the thinnest Joy Die to cut “bright” from Real Red Cardstock, and layered it on the medium sized, Whisper White, die-cut “bright.” This made it easy to raise on Dimensionals. The Joy Dies are discounted 30%!
Then, I stamped “merry” and “and” in Garden Green Ink on Whisper White Cardstock, hand cut with scissors, and attached with Mini Dimensionals.

The background is Whisper White Cardstock with Winter Snow embossing, 5 1/4″ X 4″, layered on a Thick Whisper White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This embossing folder is on Page 37, and I’m sad to see it retire, but it’s 50% off while supplies last.
Next, I cut a piece of Thick Whisper White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 2 “, and used a Curvy Die to trim the top. Happily, the Curvy Dies are in the upcoming January-June 2021 Mini Catalog, page 23.

Do you see the cute bell attached to the “t”? It was cut from Silver Foil, using a Sounds of the Season Die. The Cherish the Season Bundle is another retiring favorite from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog, page 33.
The bells are fabulous in any color, and the Sounds Of The Season Die Set includes the pine branches dancing along the curve. I used four colors of cardstock: Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Just Jade, and Granny Apple Green.

You can see the list of all the retiring products from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog below.
Thanks so much for hopping by! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on January 13th when our theme will be Time to Sale-A-Brate. Participants will showcase tags or 3D items that will be great for gifts for any occasion. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.
