Poppy thanks

Remember when I used a die to cut the flower for yesterday’s card, and I saved the “frame”?

Now you can see how I used it. This time, for the centers, I used a different die with Black Foil Paper. I call this paper “patent leather,” because it shines just like it.

The leaves and sentiment were cut from Black Foil mPaper also. The leaves are another, fabulous die from the Poppy Moments Die Set, and “thanks” is from the Well Written Die Set.

Can you see why I named them “twin” cards?

In case you missed yesterday’s card, here it is:

Bloomin’ in Blooms

Now, on to today’s card. How I love the Poppy Moments Dies! Keep scrolling to see how I used them for this “jigsaw” technique. I designed a “twin” card with nearly the same supplies, which I’ll share tomorrow.

Hello Poppies

I began by using a Poppy Moments leaf die to cut a pattern on Whisper White Cardstock. Then, I glued this to a Thick Whisper White card base.

Coloring the poppies was easy and fun! I used the “splotch” stamp from the Painted Poppies Stamp Set, and stamped on Thick Whisper White Cardstock with three colors: Petal Pink, So Saffron, and Poppy Parade (of course). Then, I used a Poppy Moments Die for cutting, carefully keeping all the petals in order for today’s card, and the “frame” for tomorrow’s card.

Next, I used the same Poppy Moments Die to cut two Thick Whisper White “frames.” This time, I discarded the white petals. Then, I glued the white “frames” on top of the leaves, and placed the twelve petals like a “jigsaw” puzzle. Fun!

I used another Poppy Moments Die for the centers, and added some black sequins. “Hello” is from the Timeless Tropical Stamp Set, a perfect little sentiment.

The supplies I used are in my Product List below, so click on the pictures, and have fun shopping. Keep in mind, Sale-A-Bration ends March 31, so order the Poppy Moments Dies while they’re available. And, if you plan to spend 99.00, you should think about joining my team for added benefits.

Special Someone Raccoon for the Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. This month we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pals Blog Hop with “Critters” from the Stampin’ Pretty Pals.

Many of the design team members are offering “Mystery Blog Candy” of their choice to 1 lucky winner. To play along, just leave a comment on as many blog posts as desired. A random winner will be announced on a subsequent blog post by each participating design team member. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

This raccoon, named Bloomin’, is proud to be the focal point of today’s card.

By Su Mohr for PP; Click READ or VISDIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Someoneone Special Stamp Set, Special Day Dies, Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set, Small Blooms Punch, Honey Bee Stamp Set, Stitched So Sweetly Dies; #specialsomeone #specialday #raccoons #raccoonsoncards #flowersoncards #friendshipcards #smallbloompunch #2020minicatalog #stampinup #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking

Bloomin’ in Blooms

Bloomin’, from the Special Someone Stamp Set, said her favorite stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration brochure is Thoughtful Blooms. She likes it, not only because it’s FREE, but because there is a coordinating Small Bloom Punch, also FREE with qualifying orders. You can check out the details by clicking on the pictures in my Product List.

Bloomin’ wanted her card to have bright flowers, and chose the colors: Melon Mango, Flirty Flamingo, Pineapple Punch and Daffodil Delight.

After stamping the flowers, she jumped on the punch, and had a glorious time punching and bending the flowers. I helped her bend the flowers with my Bone Folder, and placed them on Mini-Dimensionals.

We connected the flowers with a vine from the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set, which we stamped in Granny Apple Green.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I made Bloomin’ come alive by stamping her in Early Espresso Ink and Sahara Sand Ink, and using her Special Day Die for cutting.

TIP: The stamp set is “2-step” stamping. Stamp the detailed stamp in the darker color first, followed by the solid stamp in the lighter color. Using the Stamparatus makes matching the lines much easier.

The background is Whisper White Cardstock and 6X6 Brights Collection DSP, both cut with Stitched Rectangles Dies.

Bloomin’ wanted to say, “Thinking of you, Sweet Friend,” which is from the Honey Bee Stamp Set, stamped in  Early Espresso Ink, and cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die.

Since we are celebrating our Pals Blog Hop Anniversary, I thought it would be fun to share my first hop with the Pals in June 2017. I remember wanting to start a blog, so that I could participate in the Pals Blog Hops, and I haven’t missed a single Hop!

Clicking on the picture will take you to my blog with all the details.

I’m offering mystery blog candy (ie: Stampin’ Up! goodies) to one lucky winner. FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN, please share a comment by the deadline, Saturday, March 14th at 9:00 PM Pacific Time.

I’ll choose a random comment and announce the winner on my blog, Sunday, March 15th.

Note: I can only ship within the U.S. Winner has 48 hours from the announcement of the winner to email me their name and mailing address.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, April 8th, for our “Special Occasions” blog hop when our Design Team showcase projects for weddings, graduation, anniversary, baby, Mother’s/Father’s Day or any special occasion.Don’t miss the fun!

Easter Theme for the Sisterhood of Crafters Design Team

Stampin’ Up’s Cross of Hope Die Set makes the most beautiful crosses for Easter cards!

By Su Mohr for Sisterhood of Crafters Design Team; Click READ or VISIT to go to my blog for details! Featuring: Cross of Hope Dies, Hold On To Hope Stamp Set, Ornate Frames Dies, Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, Painted Poppies Stamp Set; #eastercards #crossesoncards #religiouscards #easter #holdontohope #crossofhope #handmadecards #handcrafted #diy #cardmaking

Watercolor Cross

I made this cross by using Garden Green and So Saffron inks with an Aqua Painter on Watercolor Paper. The pattern on the cross was created with Glossy White Cardstock and Blushing Bride Ink. Then, I used two dies from the Cross of Hope Die Set for cutting, and glued them together.

The beautiful vine surrounding the cross was made with a Hold On To Hope stamp and Pear Pizzazz Ink. I used more Pear Pizzazz Ink with a Painted Poppies stamp for the “splotches” on the lower portion of the card.

“Easter Blessings” is from the Itty Bitty Greetings Stamp Set, stamped in Pear Pizzazz Ink, and cut with an Ornate Frames Die.

After attaching the card front to the Pear Pizzazz card base, I added some Iridescent Sequins.

The supplies I used are in my Product List below, so click on the pictures, and have fun shopping. My Host Code gift for the month of March is Pearl Basic Jewels (140 total pearls).  If you order a minimum of $50.00 in March, I will send you the Pearls in April.
