Welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop!
This month, the theme is Summer Vacation. We hope to inspire you with our creations today! You will find the lineup at the end of my post to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
My favorite vacations are in Hawaii, so I began with Seaside Wishes Dies, cutting seashells from Basic White Cardstock and Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper. Then, I used the Seaside Wishes Embossing Folder to emboss the sand dollar, and gave it slight color with Crumb Cake Ink and a Blending Brush.

Seaside Sand Dollars
The seaweed and starfish are from the Beauty of the Deep Stamp Set. The seaweed was stamped in Basic Beige Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and cut with a Seaside Wishes Die. The star fish was stamped in Crumb Cake Ink On Basic Beige Cardstock, and cut with a Beauty of the Deep Die.

The background is Crumb Cake Cardstock, cut with the second largest Deckled Rectangles die, and embossed with the Seaside Wishes Embossing Folder. After layering it for thickness, I attached it with Dimensionals to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The card base was embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder.

The sentiment, “sometimes the simplest things mean the most,” is from the Seaside Wishes Stamp Set. I stamped it in Crumb Cake Ink on Basic White Cardstock, cut with a Seaside Wishes Die, and colored with Crumb Cake Ink and a Blending Brush. After gluing, and attaching everything, I added three Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls.

Thank you for visiting.

There’s more inspiration to show you, so use the lineup below to visit the rest of the Design Team. Please mark your calendars for our next blog hop next month, when our theme will be All Creatures Great and Small.
Until then, have fun in your craft space.

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun sketch challenge, and great for Stampin’ Up’s coordinating designer paper. I chose Wildly Flowering, and cut three pieces of the designer paper, 4″ X 1 3/4″. After cutting, I glued them to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Then, I used a Golden Greenery Die to cut a branch from Country Woods Designer Paper. Doesn’t it look like the wildflowers?

Wildly Flowering
Next, I stamped “thank you” in Wild Wheat Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Countryside Corners Die for cutting. Then, I attached it with Dimensions, over and under, the branch. The bottom of the branch, and the little bit on the sentiment label is glued, with the top portion left free. “Thank you” is from the Wildflower Designs Stamp Set.

To complete the card, I added three Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems.

Here is the sketch. Look for all of the Global Design Project Designers on Facebook and Instagram. Share and tag #GDP454 to play along with this challenge.

I began today’s card by using a Deckled Rectangles Die (2″ X 3 1/4″) to cut a hole from the center of Basic White Cardstock, creating a stencil. Next, I selected three colors of ink: Coastal Cabana, Lost Lagoon, and Pool Party. Then, I placed the stencil over Basic White Cardstock, 5 1/4″ X 4″, and used Blending Brushes to color inside the “hole.”

Stenciled Rectangles
The focal point is a branch, cut from Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper, with a Golden Greenery Die. After cutting, I layered it for thickness, and glued it in place. Look for this branch on tomorrow’s blog post.

“I appreciate you” is from the Thoughtful Wishes Stamp Set. I stamped it in Pretty Peacock Ink, used a Happy Little Things Die for cutting, and attached it with Mini Dimensionals. After gluing my art piece to a Lost Lagoon card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″, I added five Shimmer Gems.

I was inspired by TGIF.

Iconic Imagery is a new bundle in Online Exclusives. You can click on the picture in my Products List below to see the entire set. Plus it has coordinating designer paper, which I used on today’s card. See how the Iconic Imagery Die cut the three trees from the Iconic Celebrations Designer Paper?

Iconic Christmas JOY
Next, I used a 1 1/2″ X 1 1/2″ Stylish Shapes Die to cut three squares from another pattern of Iconic Imagery DSP. Then, I backed the trees and the squares with cardstock for thickness, and placed them on Dimensionals.

“JOY” was cut with Alphabet a La Mode Dies from Old Olive Glimmer Paper. This paper comes in a pack of three colors, also found in Online Exclusives.
The background of stars is a third pattern of Iconic Celebrations DSP, 4″ X 5 1/4″. It was glued to a Cherry Cobbler card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

The last time I created a card using the Country Birdhouse Bundle, it was in earth tones. When I saw TGIF’s challenge colors (Pretty In Pink, Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight), I thought of a yellow bird and pink birdhouse. I stamped the bird in Daffodil Delight Ink on Basic White Cardstock, cut her with a Country Birdhouse Die, colored her with a Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend, and placed her on Dimensionals.

Pink Birdhouse
Next, I used the Country Birdhouse Dies to “build” the birdhouse. First, I used Blending Brushes with Pretty In Pink Ink, and Melon Mambo Ink to color Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the dies to cut the pieces for assembling.

The background is Basic White Cardstock, 3 3/4″ X 5″, embossed with the Adoring Hearts Hybrid Embossing Folder, used as a regular embossing folder. This layer was glued to a Thick Basic White card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. After attaching the birdhouse with Dimensionals, I added three Resin Dots, and a heart created with a Sending Love die.

I was inspired by TGIF.
