The Garden Poetry Designer Paper is beautiful, and I used two patterns for this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge. I began with a 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ piece of the splash pattern. Then, I cut a 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ floral pattern, on an angle with my Paper Trimmer. After gluing them together, I cut them to 5 1/4″ X 4″, and glued them to a Shaded Spruce card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. Next, I used Words Of Beauty Dies to cut “because” from Shaded Spruce Cardstock, backed with Basic White Cardstock, and attached with Dimensionals.

Garden Poetry “because”
Prior to attaching “because,” I made a nice dividing line with a Cutest Crew Die. After using it to cut Shaded Spruce Cardstock, I glued it in place.

To complete the sentiment, I used the words from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set, “You’re wonderful. You’re loved. You matter.” I stamped the words in Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Wonderful Thoughts Die for cutting. Then, I snipped the words apart, and glued them in place. I embellished the card with Pearls of Beauty.

Here is the sketch. Won’t you join us this week for the sketch challenge? Please share on social media, and tag it #gdp538.

With a few, small changes, I created a second, Easter card, using Faith Collection from the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog. I began by using the smallest Branching Out Die to cut Wood Grain Wonders Designer Paper. I backed this with another shade of Wood Grain Wonders Designer Paper, cut with the second smallest Branching Out Die.

Wood Grain Cross
Next, I used the largest Branching Out Die to cut Brushed With Beauty Designer Paper, and glued it to a Basic Beige card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The cross was cut with two, Faith Collection Dies, from Wood Grain Wonders Designer Paper. After gluing the wood texture portion to the solid cross, I glued it in place, and attached the Branching Out layers to the card front with Dimensionals.

“He is risen” is from the Faith Collection Stamp Set. I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink on Wood Grain Wonders Designer Paper, and used a Words Of Beauty Die for cutting. After layering it with cardstock for thickness, I attached it with Dimensionals. To complete the design, I added three, Antique Pearls.

Thinking of Easter cards, I pulled out a favorite set from the 2025-2026 Annual Catalog, Faith Collection. I began by stamping a Faith Collection stamp (cross and palm branches) in Old Olive Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I used the smallest Branching Out Die for cutting, and backed it with Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper (Old Olive), cut with the second smallest Branching Out Die.

Faith Collection
Next, I used the largest Branching out Die to cut Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper (floral pattern), and glued it to a Cloud Cover card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. The cross was cut with Faith Collection Dies from Thick Basic White Cardstock. After gluing the wood texture portion to the solid cross, I glued it in place, and attached the Branching Out layers to the card front with Dimensionals.

“He is risen” is from the Faith Collection Stamp Set. I stamped it in Secret Sea Ink on Thick Basic White Cardstock, used a Words Of Beauty Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

This week’s Global Design project is a fun, color challenge, using Granny Apple Green, Secret Sea, and Melon Mambo. I began with a Secret Sea card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″. This deep blue color is great, because, like black, it makes the other colors pop.

Fragrant Layers
Next, I used a Fragrant Layers Die to create a stencil, which I placed on Basic White Cardstock, 4″ X 5 1/4″. Then, I used a Blending Brush and Secret Sea Ink to make a background. Before gluing the layer to the card base, I sprayed the background with Secret Sea Ink from a Stampin’ Blend.

The flowers, leaves, and blossoms were cut from Basic White Cardstock with Fragrant layers Dies. I used Blending Brushes, with Melon Mambo Ink and Granny Apple Green Ink, to color the flowers and leaves, and the blossoms were left white. Then, I glued them in place, matching the background design.

The sentiment, “just a note,” is from the Fragrant Layers Stamp Set. I stamped it in Secret Sea Ink, used a Fragrant Layers Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals. To complete the design, I added Iridescent Pearls to the flower centers.

We’d love for you to join our color challenge. Please share with social media, and tag it #gdp537.

I’ve been featuring the birds from the Cutest Crew Bundle, and it was time to share the kittens with you. I used three, Cutest Crew Dies to cut the kittens from Basic White Cardstock, and colored them with Small Blending Brushes and three colors of ink: Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, and Smoky Slate.

Kitten Friends
Next, I attached the kittens, with Dimensionals, to Basic White Cardstock, cut with a second smallest, Spotlight On Nature Die. This circle was attached, with Dimensionals, to Woven Textures Designer Paper, cut with a largest Spotlight On Nature Die. Then, I attached the Woven Textures circle, with Dimensionals, to Lovely Blossoms Designer Paper, 4″ X 5 1/4″. This layer was glued to a Gray Granite card base, 8 1/2″ X 5 1/2″, folded at 4 1/4″.

“So glad we’re friends” is from the Cutest Crew Stamp Set. I stamped it in Gray Granite Ink, used a Stylish Shapes Die for cutting, and attached it with Dimensionals.

Welcome to the Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators Fun Folds Blog Hop. There’s a lineup below to make it easy for you to hop along. This month’s fun fold is an Easter card, using the easy, book binding technique.

Book Binding Technique
I began by cutting 8 1/2″ X 11″ Thick Basic White Cardstock in half at 4 1/4″. Then, I scored the 11″ X 4 1/4″ cardstock at 5 1/2″ and 6 1/2″. After folding and burnishing, I glued the 1″ section to the 5 1/2″ section. For the “binding” and “cover,” I used the front and back of one sheet of Lovely & Beautiful Designer Paper. The binding is 7/8″ X 4 1/8″, and the cover is 4 3/8″ X 4 1/8″. I stamped “Happy Easter” in Calypso Coral Ink, on the binding, before gluing it in place. This sentiment is from the Easter Basket Stamp Set.

The bunny, also from the Easter Basket Stamp Set, was stamped in Crumb Cake Ink Ink on Basic White Cardstock. Then, I gave him a touch of pink with a Stampin’ Blend, used an Easter Basket Die for cutting, and attached him with Dimensionals. The sign is from the Help Me Grow Bundle. I stamped “hello” in Peach Pie Ink on Basic White Cardstock, and used a Help Me Grow Die for cutting. After the backing was cut from Lovely & Beautiful DSP, with a Help Me Grow Die, I glued the sign together and attached it with Dimensionals.

Now, you can see the inside of the card. I used a Beautifully Celebrated Die to cut the frame from another pattern of Lovely & Beautiful Designer Paper. And, I used the same die to cut Basic White Cardstock to fill in the middle of the frame. There’s plenty of room for a personal Easter message.
