Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! While the COVID 19 pandemic is adding stress to our lives, we Pals hope this blog hop will help to lift your spirits. Let us inspire you to take a creative break and relax for a little while. This month our theme is “Special Occasions” where we have made a project for just about any occasion you can think of! You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I recently received a wedding “save the date,” so it inspired me to create a wedding card with someone special in mind.

Mr. & Mrs.
I began with a Thick Whisper White card base, using one of the new Ornate Borders Dies to decorate the edge. It turned out perfectly…..the second time. The first time, my pretty border was accidentally, completely cut from the card front.
TIP: Make sure the die is facing the right direction. See the straight piece on the ends of the die? The larger portion of the die needs to face the fold of the card.
However, I didn’t let my die-cut mistake go to waste. Can you see how pretty it looks, decorating the envelope flap, in the first picture?

Next, I found the sentiment in the Last A lifetime Stamp Set. I stamped “To The New Mr. & Mrs.” in VersaMark, sprinkled it with Gold Embossing Powder, and set it with the Heat Tool. An Ornate Layers Die was just the right size for cutting.

Beneath the sentiment, I added foliage made with Frosted Bouquet Dies and a Botanical Tags Die, cut from Purple Posy, Soft Sea Foam, and Whisper White Cardstock. For a touch of sparkle, I added a few Iridescent Sequins.

I continued the sentiment on the inside, also from the Last A Lifetime Stamp Set. The same gold embossing technique was used, and then framed by using an Ornate Layers Die.

I appreciate you hopping to my blog today. Thank you! The supplies for today’s card can be seen in my Product List below.
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 13th, when we will say “Goodbye to January Mini and 2019 Annual Catalog and/or Hello to 2020 Annual Catalog.” The Design Team will showcase their favorites from the retiring catalogs or new products from the new catalog. Don’t miss the fun! And, until then, please stay safe.

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. This month we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Pals Blog Hop with “Critters” from the Stampin’ Pretty Pals.
Many of the design team members are offering “Mystery Blog Candy” of their choice to 1 lucky winner. To play along, just leave a comment on as many blog posts as desired. A random winner will be announced on a subsequent blog post by each participating design team member. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
This raccoon, named Bloomin’, is proud to be the focal point of today’s card.

Bloomin’ in Blooms
Bloomin’, from the Special Someone Stamp Set, said her favorite stamp set in the Sale-A-Bration brochure is Thoughtful Blooms. She likes it, not only because it’s FREE, but because there is a coordinating Small Bloom Punch, also FREE with qualifying orders. You can check out the details by clicking on the pictures in my Product List.
Bloomin’ wanted her card to have bright flowers, and chose the colors: Melon Mango, Flirty Flamingo, Pineapple Punch and Daffodil Delight.
After stamping the flowers, she jumped on the punch, and had a glorious time punching and bending the flowers. I helped her bend the flowers with my Bone Folder, and placed them on Mini-Dimensionals.
We connected the flowers with a vine from the Thoughtful Blooms Stamp Set, which we stamped in Granny Apple Green.

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you, I made Bloomin’ come alive by stamping her in Early Espresso Ink and Sahara Sand Ink, and using her Special Day Die for cutting.
TIP: The stamp set is “2-step” stamping. Stamp the detailed stamp in the darker color first, followed by the solid stamp in the lighter color. Using the Stamparatus makes matching the lines much easier.

The background is Whisper White Cardstock and 6X6 Brights Collection DSP, both cut with Stitched Rectangles Dies.
Bloomin’ wanted to say, “Thinking of you, Sweet Friend,” which is from the Honey Bee Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso Ink, and cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die.

Since we are celebrating our Pals Blog Hop Anniversary, I thought it would be fun to share my first hop with the Pals in June 2017. I remember wanting to start a blog, so that I could participate in the Pals Blog Hops, and I haven’t missed a single Hop!
Clicking on the picture will take you to my blog with all the details.

I’m offering mystery blog candy (ie: Stampin’ Up! goodies) to one lucky winner. FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN, please share a comment by the deadline, Saturday, March 14th at 9:00 PM Pacific Time.

I’ll choose a random comment and announce the winner on my blog, Sunday, March 15th.
Note: I can only ship within the U.S. Winner has 48 hours from the announcement of the winner to email me their name and mailing address.

I’m thinking of Valentine’s Day, and a heart full of poppies is as good as a box full of chocolates! Right? Well, maybe not, but this heart made with Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper and a Be Mine Stitched Die is making this bee happy.

Poppies Heart
The greenery beneath the heart was made with Granny Apple Green Cardstock and a Poppy Moments Die.
“Love” is from the Well Written Die Set, cut from Granny Apple Green Cardstock to blend in with the greenery, and match the card base.

The background is Whisper White Cardstock embossed with the Subtle Textured Embossing Folder.
I just HAD to add the bee whose black and white stripes match the 1” strip on the side of the card. The bee and the strip are from Golden Honey Designer Paper, a FREE Sale-A-Bration item with a qualifying order.

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because it’s “Time to Sale-A-Brate”! We’re showcasing our favorite new products from 2020 Sale-A-Bration brochure. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
It’s hard to resist the sweet bees in the Honey Bee Bundle, especially when combined with the fabulous, FREE, Golden Honey Designer Paper.

Honey Bee
How do you get the Golden Honey Designer Paper? During Sale-A-Bration (Jan 3-March 31), when you place a qualifying order of $50.00, you can choose the Golden Honey DSP as your FREE item.
For instance, if you purchase the Honey Bee Bundle (41.25) and a pack of Cardstock(8.75), the Golden Honey Designer Paper is yours for FREE. But, don’t delay, this is only as long as supplies last.

The Golden Honey Designer Paper has bees which coordinate perfectly with the Detailed Bee Die Set. The Honey Bee stamp set has this same bee, so you have options. You can stamp the bee, and you’ll never run out of bees. I cut my three bees from the DSP, and colored the stripes with a Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend.

Don’t you just love the curved sentiment? “Wishing you sunshine & happiness” was designed to fit perfectly over the hive. I cut the hive with a Detailed Bee Die.
To match the sentiment, I chose a happy color, Granny Apple Green for the card base, topped with a sunny color, Daffodil Delight. The top layer is Thick Whisper White, which I lifted on Foam Adhesive Strips, over a layer of busy bees from Golden Honey DSP.
TIP: Foam Adhesive Strips are twice as thick as Dimensionals, and their length is great for creating sturdy depth.
TIP: Cutting the Daffodil Delight and Whisper White layers with Stitched Rectangles Dies, makes for precise layering, without measuring. Plus, you get the added detail of stitching.

To complete the design, I stamped the flowers in Memento Black Ink, and used Detailed Bee Dies for cutting. Then, I colored them with two Stampin’ Blends: Light Daffodil Delight and Dark Granny Apple Green.

Here’s a Valentine using a Detailed Bee Die and the Golden Honey DSP. Click on card for details.

Thanks so much for hopping by! I appreciate you!

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for our Retirement Fun Fold Party – showcasing our favorite products from the Holiday Catalog that will be leaving us forever. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I know we have Holiday on our minds, but the retiring items I’m sharing are fabulous year-round. And, this is the best reason for getting them before they retire. Today’s card is celebrating a wedding, but would work perfectly for an anniversary, birthday, or Happy New Year!

“clink”
The “fun fold” I chose is called a Double Z Fold Card, and photographing it is the most difficult part about it. Funny, huh? Hopefully, my instructions will enable you to make it quite easily.
First, cut a piece of 8 1/2″ X 11″ Cardstock in half, 4 1/4″ X 11″. This is in the neutral color, Gray Granite. Score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″. I used the “bubbles’ die from the retiring Sip & Celebrate Die Set to cut the back section of the card base. And, I added Whisper White Cardstock to the middle section for a personal message.
Second, cut a band for the bottom, 11″ X 1 1/2.” Score at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″. I decorated the band with three strips of Perennial Essence Designer Paper, which I embossed with the retiring embossing folder, Stylish Scroll.

The trickiest part of the Z-Fold is fastening the band. Apply glue to the front of the card, and to the back of the end of the band. I don’t normally use this much glue, but I wanted you to see it. LOL. Then attach the band, closing the card while fastening to make sure it attaches evenly.
TIP: Liquid Glue gives you a little wiggle room.

Close, flip up, and position.

Now, for the champagne! I used the die from the Sip & Celebrate Die Set to cut the stemware from Mercury Glass Acetate. This was backed with Whisper White Cardstock that I stamped in Blushing Bride Ink with a stamp from the Sip Sip Hooray Stamp Set.

Next, I cut “cheers” from Sparkle Glimmer Paper, using a die from the Cheers Die Set, and glued it to the front band.
“Happy Wedding Day” is from the Beautiful Bouquet Stamp Set, stamped in Gray Granite Ink, and cut with an Ornate frames die. A second die from the set was used to cut the fancy frame from Perennial Essence DSP.

For the final touch, I used the Hand-Held 1/16″ punch to add a few Sparkle Glimmer Paper “bubbles.”

If you haven’t tried this Fun Fold, you should! It will fit right inside our Medium Envelope, which is another thing to love about it.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for “Layer It Up” – showcasing our favorite Designer Series Paper and embellishments. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I can’t let a year go by without making my favorite gift card holder! And, every year it gets a fresh look with new Designer Paper.

Gift Card Holders
This year, I chose Wrapped In Plaid Designer Paper, which has 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 double-sided designs, 6″ X 6″. You can mix and match to your heart’s content!
To coordinate with the DSP, I used three colors of cardstock: Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, and Night of Navy.

INSTRUCTIONS
Cut the 8 1/2″ X 11″ cardstock into two pieces that are 7 3/4″ X 5″. Score at 6″ and 2 1/2″.
I didn’t use the strip on the left, but the 7 3/4″ X 1″ strip at the bottom becomes the band around the gift card holder.
The band is scored at 6 1/8″ and 2 1/2″. You want that extra 1/8 inch on the scoring, so the band will slide off and on easily.

Cut two pieces of Designer Series Paper: The bottom front is 4 3/4″ X 2 1/4″. The top front is 4 3/4″ X 1 1/2″.

Cut one piece of Whisper White cardstock for the sentiment on the inside, 4 3/4″ X 1 1/2″.
Use a circle punch to make a finger slot in the middle of the bottom front.
Attach a piece of Tear & Tape to each side of the bottom (inside), and close, sealing your pocket.

Since this Blog Hop is all about layering Designer Paper, I added strips of DSP to the bands, and topped them off with a tree. It was fun punching the trees with the Pine Tree Punch, which I layered for thickness.
TIP: Glue the band with the raw edge in front. This will be covered by the tree, which keeps the back looking smooth and pretty.

The Pine Tree Punch comes with the Wrapped In Plaid DSP in a Bundle. The order number for the Bundle is 151143, which gives you a 10% savings! One of my favorite papers in the pack is the design with the tree that matches the punch.
